| A 300lb gingerbread replica of the White House was the centrepiece of the White House Christmas decorations, unveiled today by Michelle Obama. The impressive structure, which features a marzipan version of the kitchen garden and an oversized model of First Dog Bo, was pride of place in the the State Dining Room. The First Lady presented this year´s decorations before an appreciative crowd of military families Wednesday, then spent some time doing holiday crafts with military kids. Scroll down for video

Diabetic alert: While watching the video, waiting for the Mooch to say the word "Christmas," glucose levels skyrocketed. She thoroughly brainwashes the kids, using more sugar than there is in a banana split with double toppings washed down with a 32-oz Coke. She also pushes the merits of the military and their families, stressing all the trees with military-related decorations. No mention of the assistance available when military breadwinners are laid off next year, though.
She never did say "Christmas," substituting (of course), "holiday."
The Mooch´s version of a Christmas greeting is:
I do hope that your holiday season is truly special and you really use this time to reflect and come together and so many of us in this country will use your lives as inspiration as we sit around our trees and our tables and we think about all that we have and we think about what all of you are sacrificing to make sure that we live in freedom and harmony. Looks as if she´s going up against Delingpole in the long-sentence leagues. Butt among all those words there is no apology for not thinking of the military and others serving our country when the Benghazi Consulate was attacked by terrorists. Nor was there an explanation for Africorps General Ham who recently "resigned" a few years short of retirement age, allegedly fired over wanting to send rescue teams to Benghazi. P.S. Michelle has been taking lessons from Hollywood, no doubt in my mind.

Los Angeles County coroner´s officials said Wednesday the body recovered from a fiery, single-car crash in Hollywood that apparently killed journalist Michael Hastings will likely undergo an autopsy Thursday. But an official cause of death and closure of the case is not likely for four to six weeks or perhaps longer, they said. The Obama administration has reportedly tried to enlist the NBA in helping it sell Obamacare to the American people. It’s unclear whether a potential marketing partnership would put big-name players at the center of ad campaigns or if it would be as simple as putting the NBA trademark on marketing materials, Politico first reported today. People can begin signing up for Obamacare in October, with the new insurance coverage kicking in next year. An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Bill Ayers believes President Obama gets a “failing grade” for his presidency, and should be tried for “war crimes,” along with all living presidents who have engaged in acts of “terrorism” abroad. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) appeared on CNN’s The Situation Room on Tuesday evening where he was asked to respond to former Vice President Dick Cheney who told Fox News Channel’s Chris Wallace that the junior Kentucky senator was wrong when he criticized the NSA’s surveillance programs. Paul tore into the Bush administration’s role in the establishment of the post-9/11 security regime, noting that he thinks it is possible to catch terrorists using methods consistent with the Constitution. Cheney told the Fox News Sunday host that Paul was incorrect in his criticisms of the NSA’s communications monitoring programs.
