Poll: Majority Says Federal
Government Shouldn´t Be
Responsible for Healthcare

Townhall, by Guy Benson

Original Article

Since most of the data in post-election polling has offered little beyond a parade of ugly news, here´s a glimmer of hope from Gallup: For the first time in Gallup trends since 2000, a majority of Americans say it is not the federal government´s responsibility to make sure all Americans have healthcare coverage. Prior to 2009, a majority always felt the government should ensure healthcare coverage for all, though Americans´ views have become more divided in recent years...Republicans, including Republican-leaning independents, are mostly responsible for the drop since 2007 in Americans´ support for government ensuring universal health coverage.

Yeah, well they just re-elected the chief proponent of government health"care" and his band of merry men/women. So, are they lying or stupid?

It doesn´t matter. The federal government is going to dispense, control, limit, categorize and withhold health care. Morons voted for this; morons shall get it.
I´m old enough to remember when people were smart enough to consider issues beyond "the gimme factor" when voting and in fact, most thought that handouts were beneath them as human beings. Even minorities did that! It was a strange culture, foreign to today´s sensibilities - and it´s so very dead.

My doctors & hospitals associated with them just dropped my insurer, due to reduced reimbursement.... UHC. My Medicare costs increase +$1800/yr, thanks to monthly fee & drugs moving into more expensive tiers.

And when I check for new doctorss in the insurers database, they are all in Puerto Rico... I guess I´ll email my ailments to my new doc.

Boston police chief says feds never

Boston and Massachusetts law enforcement officials confirmed Thursday that federal agents left them in the dark on the growing warning signs about Tamerlan Tsarnaev in the run-up to the Boston Marathon bombing. Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis, in testimony on Capitol Hill, said his officers on a joint terrorism task force were never told about an explicit warning from the Russian government or about Tsarnaev´s travel to the Chechnya region last year. Davis said he would have liked to have known about that activity, and that it "absolutely" would have merited a second look at Tsarnaev.

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: It´s clear the ambassador himself who was slain is the one who was really begging for more security. Everybody understands it was rated as a facility that was extremely insecure. That´s one element. The other element is at the time of the attack, what happened? And I would ask another question, where was the commander in chief in all of this? The one man who can authorize and order troops to move above everybody and instantly is commander in chief. Where was he for these hours when the fight was raging? Has anybody asked it?

Reid said that Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee Chairman Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) gave GOP members of his committee an additional two weeks to review Perez’s answers to written questions.

Yesterday´s dramatic congressional testimony about the deadly Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attacks on U.S. interests in Benghazi, Libya convincingly corroborated what was widely reported within days of the attack: that senior American officials on the ground knew immediately, despite the Obama administration´s storyline to the contrary, that the assault did not arise out of a "spontaneous" demonstration outside the U.S. Consulate in protest of an obscure YouTube trailer of a homemade anti-Islam movie called Innocence of Muslims. Falsely assessing partial blame for the violence on a piece of artistic expression inflicted damage not just on the California

The funding will allow centers to hire new staff and train existing personnel to help consumers find health plans that fit their needs, according to the Department of Health and Human Services. Its announcement is part of a broad push to promote the Affordable Care Act, as calendar pages fall away toward key dates to implement the law. In the real world, when you cover up four murders after the fact, you likely go to jail. In government, you retire with dignity and run for president with full media support. Up until yesterday, that was the Benghazi scenario following the death of four Americans including our ambassador to Libya. Republican lawmakers, who have spent months seeking to tie President Obama to last year’s deadly attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, are increasingly focusing their probe on a new target: former secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton. The GOP-led investigation of the Sept. 11, 2012, assaults that killed U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three others now centers heavily on the State Department and whether officials there deliberately misled the public about the nature of the assault. Three State Department officials are scheduled to testify before a House committee on Wednesday about the Benghazi attack and its aftermath.

Sanford defeated Colbert Busch 54 percent to 45 percent, according to full unofficial results. Sanford, who has never lost an election, returns to the 1st District seat he held for three terms from 1995-2001. The White House on Wednesday stood by its story that the Obama administration remained unsure exactly who was responsible for the attack on the U.S. diplomatic post in Benghazi nearly five days after it occurred even though new revelations show Ansar al-Sharia’s direct involvement. Gregory Hicks, the deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Libya and a self-described whistleblower, testified before a Congressional committee Wednesday that the body of Ambassador J. Christpher Stevens was missing for hours during the attack after being dragged out of the diplomatic post in Benghazi.

There was tragic incompetence, plainly, in the Obama administration’s handling of the Benghazi attacks, and even possibly some political calculation. It is a record that may well come to haunt Hillary Clinton, the first Secretary of State to lose an ambassador in the field in more than three decades, if she runs for president in 2016. But the obvious Republican effort to turn this inquiry into the Democratic (Obama) version of the Iraq intelligence scandal that has tarred the GOP since the George W. The University of Cambridge released a statement Wednesday indicating that Hawking had told the Israelis last week that he would not be attending "based on advice from Palestinian academics that he should respect the boycott." University officials said they had "previously understood" that Hawking´s decision was based solely on health concerns — he is 71 and has severe disabilities — but had now been told otherwise by Hawking´s office.
