Obama Sets GOP Trap
With Fiscal Cliff Strategy

Investor´s Business Daily, by Editorial

Original Article

Fiscal Cliff: President Obama is back in fifth-gear campaign mode, in an around-the-country push to get Republicans to cave in on taxes. But his "My2K" strategy offers no concessions of his own. It can´t be stressed strongly enough: What President Obama is now up to seeks to destroy the Republican Party as it has existed since the election of Ronald Reagan in 1980. That revitalized political institution became a party of ideas based on economic freedom, such as fighting for fiscal safeguards through which the people could "permanently control government´s power to tax and spend," as Reagan

Comments:
Very strong words from the Editors of IBD. A cautionary tale of what could lie ahead if he gets his way. And he´s working the country, in true Alinsky style, to get it. Top down, bottom up. Make the sheeple believe it is there idea and set them loose to bombard Congress to do it O´s way.

0bama does not want to own the coming recession and/or the pain that will come from the cuts in spending. He and Reid will push every Republican button they can so that the Repugs will again refuse to do "what is necessary to save the economy" and then be blamed. The Dimms can then dream of getting the House back in 2014.

Let the Dimms own this economy! Let them raise taxes on a few folks. It will fail and we can be in a position to say I told you so.

The Dimms are scared to death of being held responsible.

Nothing will change with the electorate until they learn, the hard way, what Dimms can do to a economy.

I think it is less a cautionary tale as it is a prediction. Bother et al WILL CAVE. That means th GOP will disintegrate. Fortunately, the Tea Party movement is in place to pick up the pieces. However, it will take years to effect the transition.

If the rich can pay a little more and the Clinton tax rates were such a success, let all the extensions lapse. Let the Obama tax credits lapse. Let the Payroll Tax holiday lapse. Let the extended unemployment lapse. Let the sequester that was negotiated a year ago occur. That is what Obama insisted on a year ago, let it happen. Or prepare a comprehensive plan the Dems can agree on amongst themselves and put it on the floor for a vote.

Republicans should offer at 10% tax cut on the two lowest tax rates (for the middle class) and let Obama and the democrats eat the crap sandwich or face the wrath of the middle class.

The Republicans think they cynically know how to play the Tea Party.
They think we were a flash in the pan.
We must cease putting forth any more moron candidates and get ones that know how to talk the talk.
Only then can we boot the RINOS.
All we have to do is boot three or four RINO Senators, and get Americans elected in their stead.
The rest of them will start simpering and falling all over to be our pals, ala Hatch post Bennett.

Full on to find good candidates at every level down to dog catcher.

Like it or not, Obama has the media in his back pocket, has full access to a to every new organization and the media is more than willing to carry the president´s water.

Conservatives are at a disadvantage, they can´t say anything without media approval and media filtering. If conservatives are going to be successful at getting their message out, they are going to have to be wiser than the Dems. I just don´t see that happening.

Good luck!

AAARRRGH!

Pass a permanent extension of ALL the current tax rates in the House, send it to the Senate, and adjourn early for Christmas. If Reid won´t pass it, or if Obama vetoes it, so be it. America just voted in favor of driving over the fiscal cliff when they gave Obama a second term. Make him own it, and make America choke on it. But do NOT cave on the anti-tax increase pledge. They´ll just spend it and won´t cut anything.

We´re watching. And if anyone thinks the Tea Party will hesitate to put a target on even Cantor or Ryan in 2014 then they have not been paying attention. Anybody seen FORMER Senator Bob Bennett lately?

I watched a BBC documentary about Auschwitz a few days ago and it hit me like a ton of bricks. They interviewed an ex-Nazi soldier that had killed Jews in cold blood, dumping their bodies in a mass grave. He had absolutely no remorse, but when asked why, he said it was because the Jews had caused all the trouble his family had between the World Wars.
The Jews had nothing to do with his family but the Nazi Propaganda Machine had convinced him they did; to the point he could kill them without any guilt.
Today, I (and most conservatives) am labelled a women hating, racist, homophobic bigot by a media that is turning into the Democrat Propaganda Machine. I really don´t care what Democrats think of me, but I do care what most Americans think and they are being brain washed by a media that I and Conservatives are the problem and people believe them.
One of these days, the majority will turn their heads when I am denied my rights, my freedoms and my healthcare or fined, lose my job or incarcerated. Why? because I hold Christian Conservative values.
Is this administration Nazis? No, but their tactics are the same and the results are the same; people killing with no guilt, a nation divided, people falsely accused of being against progress, being racist and being homophobic and wanting to deny women their healthcare.
Freedom and liberty are in peril.

Starve the feds. The center is so totally gamed, we should turn to the other axis of US organization, which is the states. Supposed to be that way anyhow.

Republicans play checkers badly but follow the rules.

Democrats play chess (with the help of the lying MSM) well and break every rule they can "Alinsky Style".

The American people are led to believe that collecting more taxes will solve our fiscal cliff problems.

The Republicans need to lose a battle to win a war.

Give the Democrats their tax increases.
Warn the American people that the Democrats are lying to them about the solution.
Warn the America people that the MSM is lying to them about the solution.

Let the Democrats explain why even after the tax increases, ZERO cuts in fraud, abuse, and corruption, we still have 98% of our deficit left forcing us to borrow money we don´t have.

Let the Democrats and the MSM explain why we have to raise the debt ceiling yet again.
Let the Democrats and the MSM explain why our credit rating will again be cut.
Let the Democrats and the MSM continue to blame the Republicans.
Let the Democrats and the MSM continue to blame Bush.
Let the Democrats and the MSM OWN this economy!

#5 yes. You are right in that the GOP has no clue that conservatives aren´t about to vote for more RINO retreads. Tea Party is just getting started as they shall soon see. You know, I do feel badly for Mr. Romney in that he was used badly by the establishment too. They led him down a primrose path strewn with promises that they knew what they were doing, just listen to us. He poured $$$$$ into other people´s campaign coffers. In the end, he was just used by them too.

Boehner needs to pass an extension, send it to congress & state clearly that the Dems & Obama have not put one cut on the table... so there is no other option than an extension.

U.S. law prohibits financial transactions for tourist activities in Cuba to prevent funding of the government, which controls the industry.
