Both the Nazi and Soviet Armies ensured that political officers were included in the order of battle of fighting units. They had serious authority, up to instant execution of those considered violators of the party line.
Now, the likelihood that there will be ACLU political officers in American combat zones is multiplied.

I´m just trying to imagine a 130 lb (being generous) woman dragging a battle clad comrade out of a firefight. I´m trying to imagine that same woman doing it carrying a full compliment of combat gear including a 70# ruck.

My my. How times have changed! Who would have imagined such a thing as anybody, especially women, going to court to get into combat during the Vietnam war? Then it was all about how to avoid the draft, which many in the liberal establishment did and about which some, at least, have a bad conscience. Of course there is a vast difference between a drafted, temporary and quickly demobilized army and a standing professional army such as we now have and may one day come to regret.

What do you expect from the ACLU, a bunch of sissy´s that haven´t a clue as to what really goes on in the military.

If I were in combat, I would not want a woman backing me up unless she is going through menopause.

As a soldier, I say fine with me as long as we do away the different physical fitness standards for sexes where a 50 year old female going 2 miles in 25 minutes and does 7 pushups is considered more fit than an 18 year old male who does it in 16 minutes and 40 pushups.

There is no woman alive who could defeat in a one on one encounter a man who is combat ready.

Women will not be happy once they´ve finished destroying everything that shapes boys into men. They will then miserably discover that they can´t find a man. They will realize, much to their chagrin, that they no longer know what it is to be fulfilled as a woman.

These people should keep in mind the old saying "What isn´t forbidden...is required." I wonder how happen women in the military will be when taking on a combat role isn´t voluntary.

Women have such a terrible time finding a real man, they either read romance novels, or go for the "bad boy", thinking they can change him.

My nephew is big on electronic dating sites for people in their 20s. What´s there? Tattooed, scrawny women who are often unemployed, and have 2 or 3 kids. Alot of stuff in their profile is all the demands they expect in a relationship, and then complain they can´t find good men.

The men? Wussified jerks who are more interested in gay rights, think their dopey, goateed face and flabby body should bring porno star-bodied girls to their beck and call, rights for criminals, wearing baggy clothes, big doughnut ear rings, how much MPG their car gets, getting rid of plastic bags, favoring abortion as a convenience, and those whose biggest political issue is legalizing dope.

No wonder women have a hard time finding a man, and how many real men are left?

I´ll go a step further: since women are more than 50% of the US´s population, by rights they should be doing most of the fighting and dying. When enough have died the population will be in balance, and men will no longer be the minority. Then women will not have to step aside in the job market while a man gets quotas, set-asides, special consideration and affirmative action. Oh wait!

I´m a woman and have been pretty much ashamed of my sex for the last 40 years. Maybe this is a good way to get rid of some of the worst examples.

#2, my daughter did ruch marches with 70 lb packs when she was in OCS. She is a darn fine soldier and what holds her back is the male officers who treat her like a girl instead of another officer. While she may not be able to fight in combat, she could hold her own if she had to. She did cage fighting before she went into the Army and sparred with guys all the time. She wasn´t a stranger to a gun before she went into the Army either. I admit there are certain areas that should be reserved for the guys, but for the most part women are just as capable as the guys.

I can find nowhere in the constitution that says the goobermint, using our tax dollars, has the right to fund this organization of destruction.

Women (normally, but less lately) are fierce protectors of their children. Men are socialized (by their fathers) into being protective of their women.

Most American men (until lately) had been conditioned to defend not only their own women and children but those being persecuted outside our country. Now that socialization among men is being undermined for the flimsiest of reasons and with very bad intent.
