| Intelligent people across the country are asking out loud whether another presidential term for Barack Obama actually will be as bad as we expect it to be. Unfortunately, it probably will be. Because he was as horrible, as disdainful of the Constitution and of decency, fair play and good judgment, as he was in the first four years, imagine what he can do now that he needs not worry about re-election. A look back serves as a reminder of how bad he has been already, so that good Americans can start figuring how to counter the worse Obama

It is astonishing to me how utterly useless the Congress is proving to be in slowing down the assault on the Constitution by the President. Congress after all is supposed to be a co-equal branch. Either they are complicit in wrecking the Constitution, or they are truly incompetent.

Mr. Hillyer assesses the situation quite well. It´s just so unfortunate for the USA that half of our occupants (as opposed to it´s citizens) cares not a whit about the truth. More important to them is "where´s my phone/stuff?"
We´re in deep fecal territory, especially since the GOP apparently intends to cave on "comprehensive immigration reform (a.k.a. amnesty), flooding our states with millions more moochers.

I don´t think it is a matter of GOP complicity or incompetence, as poster #2 suggests. Obama has the perfect storm going for him - racial intimidation, a dumbed-down and morally corrupted populace, and a sycophantic media which shares his agenda and buries his mistakes while glossing over or ignoring his excesses. Would any of us like to stand in Boehner´s, McConnell´s or Issa´s shoes? And for those who would - how far do you think you´d get?
As things stand, it really is as bad as our worst fears tell us it is.

I have been posting admonitions on this website for years that Obama is a clone of Mussolini. He is the same malignant narcissist as Il Duce. And it drives me crazy that the average American is a complete dunce when it comes to politics and history. Anyone that voted for Obama the dictator should be horse whipped. And all you consevatives out there that knew the stakes in this election and didn´t do a damn thing to stop Obama are just as guilty as the idiots.

Of course he is not worried about re-election. He is not worried about even another election. I have been saying over and over again to friends and relatives that Obama will declare a national emergency, will declare martial law, will suspend the next presidential election, will take over the nation for our own good until the "crisis" has passed (which it never will). Our economy will be in shambles, majority of people will be on the government teat, and Obama will indeed be looked at as America´s "savior". Jamie Foxx sort of let the plans slip out prematurely. We have a do nothing congress and a supreme court that is now anti-Constitution. Perfect tyrannical storm is about to hit the USofA.

President Obama is mad. Not raving mad, thankfully, just boiling mad. He used the awesome power of his office to make a public pronouncement berating Republicans, or 90% of them at any rate. Shame on them for not passing his common sense gun reforms. He called them and none could even offer a coherent argument. They let down the parents of Newtown. They would not try to save our kids. This despite his straightforward campaign in which he told the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

A country that stakes its future on lies will not have one. The fashionable lie of the moment is “gay marriage.” The push to deprive children of mothers and fathers for the sake of “genderless” marriage has never been stronger. The media propaganda about its “inevitability” is unremitting. One would think, judging by all the triumphant rhetoric heard this week, that over 30 states had approved it. In fact, over 30 states have banned it. According to the Washington Post, which just a few weeks ago was categorizing Christians as racists, the issue is all settled and done.

When coupled with evidence of what is being hidden, the information makes the administration look even worse. Popular provisions were put into effect immediately, such as allowing children to stay on their parent’s plan until age 26, offering “free” colonoscopies and mammograms (in truth, forcing you to pay for them in your premium, whether you get them or not), and giving women the thrill of getting contraceptives at the drugstore without paying anything. This may sound odd coming from someone who has spent his life working in political reporting, but I find it extremely sad when people can’t separate politics from the rest of their lives. I’m not talking about people getting worked up about politicians; we live in divided times, so things are bound to get heated when talking about elected officials. I’m talking about people who say “I want nothing to do with [Person X] because he is a conservative/liberal/Republican/Democrat in his personal life.” This is why I find the Orson Scott Card thing so frustrating.

Last week, President Obama told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that “we don’t have an immediate crisis in terms of debt.” It was par for the course (after all, he is almost always golfing) for the nation’s chief executive who just last year did not know the amount of our nation’s debt and made the preposterously naive statement that “a lot of it we owe to ourselves.” Apparently, our coming debt crisis is the only one Democrats do want to go to waste.

Yesterday´s promised but cancelled news briefing is just one symptom.
