People like this have to end up in politics, unions, education, or non-profits to get a job as they can´t get one in the real world.

Democrats not only lie about everything, they will insist the sky is green and then pass laws making it a criminal offense when anyone speaks the truth about it being blue.

Two thoughts. Democrats are always asking the voters to ignore their past and vote for them because of what they can do, but spend a lot of time, money and effort digging into the past of their opponents. What is it Dems? Second, this is a glaring example of what happens when you vote for someone because of their membership in some perceived minority rather than on their character. Hence Obama´s success.

They always blather on about "everyone makes mistakes", etc., etc., etc. But like this?

According to information from the Laconia Daily Sun, Laughton was no stranger to Laconia police.

In addition to the conspiracy to commit fraud charges, Laughton was charged with slashing the tires of a neighbor’s car in 2006. The same year, Laughton reportedly admitted that she faked illness to gain an ambulance ride for herself and her now ex-wife, Lisa Laughton, also a Gate City selectman, from Weirs Beach back toward their home.

Laughton moved to Laconia from Nashua, where she was raised, in 2003. She ran for public office, under the name Barry Charles Jr., multiple times while living in the city, including runs for the City Council, School Board and a state representative seat.

Laughton’s felony conviction stems from a 2007 incident, the Laconia Daily Sun reported Saturday, when Laughton and her ex-wife reportedly opened a credit card in a former neighbor’s name, using it to purchase electronics and pay bills.

I´d almost sooner see a reformed axe murderer in office than a "white collar criminal" who dealt in fraud. And then conveniently changed his gender and name, hoping to leave his criminal past behind.

Felonies don´t count if you are a Democrat. Don´t you understand the double-standard in this country?

Why send a decent person? Chances are they will end up corrupted.

Sending someone who is already a convicted felon is much more efficient.

Having been duly elected I would expect Miss Laughton to be held to the lowest of standards.....

For all you NH haters. NH is nothing like Massachusetts. We don´t have a state income tax we don´t have a state sales tax. It is the state where the "Freestaters" went. Because we are surrounded by 3 very liberal states we took it on the chin this election.

On election day there was a lot of fishy things going on. Same day registration in my town logged on a 10% increase in voter registration. This was common across the state. Yes we are looking into who registered and where they live to see if there are any irregularities. Needless to say our checklist people were overwhelmed all day.

To which I might add, #16, that Republicans haven´t always treated New Hampshire well, or tried to take its uniqueness into account.

Better to not be taken for granted.
