| CAIRO - Egypt´s Muslim Brotherhood called for a mass demonstration in Cairo on Tuesday to show support for President Mohamed Mursi, who is facing a storm of protest for issuing a decree that expanded his powers. In a statement published on its website, the Brotherhood also called for shows of support in public squares across Egypt after early evening prayers on Sunday to show support for Mursi´s decisions. Parties opposed to the decree have also called for a protest on Tuesday in Cairo, though in a different square from the one where the Brotherhood called on its supporters to gather.

Staging demonstrations of his supporters will do no more to help Mohamed Morsi´s cause than if he were to stage a Macy´s Thanksgiving Day parade through the streets of Cairo.
The Egyptian protestors want freedom and democracy. Which means Mr. Morsi has three options: He can either allow the mobs of protestors to continue destroying Egyptian cities; he can shoot the protestors and create a civil war like Bashir al-Assad of Syria has been dealing with, while enflaming world opinion against him and the Muslim Brotherhood; or he can rescind his dictatorial decrees.
Apparently, the same Obama who couldn´t wait to rush Hillary to Egypt in order to negotiate a ceasefire to stop Israel from winning its war against Hamas will not lift a finger now to help Mohamed Morsi resolve Egypt´s current crisis by bringing all sides together to negotiate a ceasefire that will restore Egypt´s democracy.

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Eric Holder, the nation´s chief law enforcement officer, returned to the courthouse where he once served as a judge, this time in the role of prospective juror performing his civic duty. The Justice Department said Holder wasn´t chosen and that he won´t be called back. Had he been selected for the jury Tuesday, the attorney general would have been on a panel hearing an armed robbery case. Holder sat in the last row of Judge Stuart Nash´s courtroom along with other prospective jurors as the judge gave details of the case.

MSNBC´s programming became almost entirely full of commentary and opinion in 2012, while "factual reporting" saw almost no airtime, according to a new report from the Pew Research Center. The premium network later this month will air a documentary called "Fall to Grace" on McGreevey’s resignation as governor and his “redemption and transformation” while studying to become an Episcopal priest and working to help female inmates, according to a press release from HBO. An Ohio woman filed a $25,000 lawsuit against her employer, alleging she was fired for voting for President Obama. Patricia Kunkle of Kettering, Ohio, claimed that Dayton-based Q-Mark, Inc., threatened to fire employees of the defense contractor if Obama won re-election, with the president’s supporters to be the first to receive pink slips, the Dayton Daily News reported. Kunkle said she had a conversation the day after Election Day that indicated she voted for Obama. She was fired three days later.
