The GOP and Racism, Yet Again
Tribune Media Services, by Jonah Goldberg

Original Article

Posted By:Drive, 11/23/2012 7:36:15 AM

If the GOP wants to win more black votes, it will need to get a lot more “racist.” The scare quotes are necessary because I don’t think the Republican party is racist now (and, historically, the GOP has a lot less to answer for than the Democratic party does). But that hasn’t stopped a lot of people from slandering Republicans as racist for one reason or another. Right now, many in Washington — particularly the leadership of the Congressional Black Caucus — insist that Republican attacks on U.N. ambassador Susan Rice are racist and, yawn, sexist.

Mia Love and Rep. West were targeted specifically because they were black, a la Herman Cain because there can only be ONE black "headliner" and that could only be a demonrat Barack Huseein Obama

The meida was on a mission to take down ANY black candidate not approved by the libs in charge.

Personally, I´d like to see former Oklahoma Representative J. C. Watts make a political comeback on a national scale..

FTA: Any serious attempt by the GOP to win black votes won’t involve Republicans copycatting liberal policies. It will require going over the heads of the black and white liberal slanderers to offer a sincere alternative to failed liberal policies on schools, poverty, crime, etc. The more effective that effort, the more the GOP will be called racist.

I hope the GOP hears Jonah on this one!

They need to quit acting as though the racism charge is true. Every effort to "copycat" liberals, and kowtow to their demands, is implicit admission that their accusations are true.

That angers many of us because we know that we are not racist, and we don´t appreciate those who represent us implying the opposite.

Unless there was massive fraud in the election, the stupid zombies will believe whatever narrative the MSM is pushing, despite all evidence to the contrary.

The truth about the GOP and race does not matter. Just like the whole ridiculous war on women thing. No basis in truth but truth does not matter. Some Senate candidate says a stupid thing and Romney gets pegged with it. It doesn´t matter what down ticket Dems do and say. Somehow that´s no reflection on Obama at all. They´ll do it to the next guy too.

I´ve embraced my inner racist. I believe in the founding documents, I believe in Capitolism, Free Enterprise, a Limited Constitutional Republic, I believe in working for what I earn, I intentionally exceed expectations and I believe that government handouts come with strings.

I remember the first time that I was called a racist. I was asked what I thought of Jesse Jackson when he was running for president. I stated that Jackson is a complete idiot. I was labled a racist. The second time was when I agreed with a California proposition to not provide tax payer benefits to illegal aliens.

Since then, any time Ive been labled a racist I say, "fine, I´m a racist. Now tell me how my position is wrong".

Well done, Jonah! Glad to see the article as a Must Read.

The old Chinese proverb:Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. came to mind as I was reading Jonah´s article. I think it terrifies Democrats who hope it won´t become a reality in the black community. If it did, there goes their control.

As more young blacks graduate from college, they will begin to scratch their collective heads and wonder why Condoleeza Rice, Herman Caine, Allan West, Arthur Davis (newly converted), Mia Love, Ken Blackwell, and other lesser-known black politicians chose to be Republicans. Just calling these accomplished people "Uncle Toms" won´t cut it with better educated blacks. Sooner or later intellectual curiosity will kick in.

Susan Rice has been caught in a lie - maybe it´s not her fault, but she obviously lied to Congress and is, thus, damaged goods. Are we now expected to believe that the liar is a victim and the lie-catcher is a racist? Come on, give me a break - oh, I forgot, the lie-catchers are mostly old, white men and Republicans.

Republicans can turn the tables on the Dems by using Saul Alinsy´s Rules: loudly ridicule the Dems for equating a liar as a victim and the whistle-blower as a racist.

If blacks had a clue, and had studied in school, they would know that it was the Republicans freed the slaves in the Civil War. At first look, the freed slaves did not do well, they were used to certain housing and food and now they had to get jobs. It was a terrible war and has been years in sorting out the race thing.

Unless something drastically changes, I would not devote much time money nor money in trying to secure the Black Vote. For the most part, White Conservatives are toxic to Blacks.

I would spend virtually all my time in securing the Latino/Hispanic Vote as that Constituency is more aligned with the Conservative Message.

The Republican party is the largest organization containing conservatives (who as individuals don´t intend to become liberals any time soon), so caving to black demands for more freebies and privilages risks losing conservatives to a separate party. Republicans would become the civilized country club democrat-lite.

My gut tells me that the democrat party has already marginalized itself into a collection of thugs, slugs, and hedonists that classic liberals like Pat Cadell can´t abide and will no longer support.

The minute I hear of ´our leadership´ meeting with the CBC or any "civil rights leader" will be the beginning of a party registration change.

What some liberals and black socialists have done is essentially set up a new performance standard, the "He or she did the best he or she could because of the current racism that he or she faces in this country" standard to protect incompetence, and since it appears to have worked in the election process it is not going to go away and will only get worse.

Problem is, when you are taking entitlement and subsidy money from the government, controlled by Democrats, you´re not likely to use your brain for anything but gaming the system.

Interesting to see that the Democrat party has now become one which is controlled and directed by white liberals, who then need to dole-out some "gifts" to a selected number of minorities, who are then very grateful so they tell the rest to fall in line.

So, as per Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, the Democrats are not minority-majority party.

Isn´t that apartheid-like?

But what virtue is there in tossing around dehumanizing labels like that, anyway? There may be places in Southie or the Deep South where it could be considered a mating call (as it will attract others who are proud to be bigots). But I´ve never considered Lcom to be one of those places.

US autism estimate

The government’s estimate of autism has moved up again to 1 in 68 U.S. children, a 30 percent increase in two years. But health officials say the new number may not mean autism is more common. Much of the increase is believed to be from a cultural and medical shift, with doctors diagnosing autism more frequently, especially in children with milder problems. “We can’t dismiss the numbers. But we can’t interpret it to mean more people are getting the disorder,” said Marisela Huerta, a psychologist at the New York-Presbyterian Center for Autism and the Developing Brain in suburban White Plains, N.Y.

New York, California, Illinois and Michigan are traditionally among the most reliably Democratic states in the union, as an interactive 2012 map created by Slate shows.

Many of the Republican Party’s most powerful insiders and financiers have begun a behind-the-scenes campaign to draft former Florida governor Jeb Bush into the 2016 presidential race, courting him and his intimates and starting talks on fundraising strategy. Concerned that the George Washington Bridge traffic scandal has damaged New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s political standing and alarmed by the steady rise of Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.), prominent donors, conservative leaders and longtime operatives say they consider Bush the GOP’s brightest hope to win back the White House.

Where’s the beef? That’s what the carnivores were wondering as they arrived at the Boathouse in Central Park for the “Noah” party. The buffet tables were loaded with various forms of edible vegetable matter, but there was no meat, fish or cheese — because director Darren Aronofsky is vegan, as was the hero of his biblical epic, as played by Russell Crowe. To underscore the point in the movie, which also stars Emma Watson and Jennifer Connelly, villain Tubal-cain (Ray Winstone) eagerly bites the head off an unidentified reptile and devours it raw. Meat = evil. Got it. As hungry Boathouse guests bellied

With studies showing widening economic gaps between whites and African Americans, civil rights leaders in metro Detroit are concerned. “We’re going in the wrong direction,” said Freda Sampson, a leader with the nonprofit group Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion. “We’re getting further and further divided.” To help close that racial and class divide, her group is holding an all-day conference, called the Equity Action Summit, on Saturday at Cobo Center in Detroit. (Snip) Saturday’s conference, supported by the NAACP and Fair Housing Center of Metro Detroit, is to feature talks by President Barack Obama’s former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah

If Betsey McCaughey is correct (and I bet she is, because she has not only read the entire ObamaCare bill, she has written a book about it), Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan publicly humiliated herself during the oral arguments on the Hobby Lobby case, revealing that she either did not read the law, or failed to comprehend it if she did so. Writing in the New York Sun, McCaughey lays out what is wrong with the Justice’s declaration about Obamacare: she asserted that the statute itself mandates provision of birth control. Not one word in the Affordable Care Act guarantees health plans will cover birth control products.
