| WASHINGTON— Ah, Thanksgiving. A little turkey, some cranberry mold, maybe apple pie with ice cream, some football on TV. Getting together with the cousins. Catching up beside the fire. Togetherness. On second thought: Scratch that. What were we thinking? This was an election year. “The Thanksgiving table will be a battleground,” says Andrew Marshall, 34, of Quincy, Mass. Like many extended families across the country, Marshall’s includes Democrats and Republicans, conservatives, liberals and independents. And so, like many families that count both red and blue voters in their

Luckily, all the adults in my family despise Obama. We look forward to getting forward to the Thanksgiving get-together so that we can straighten out the young adults, those in college especially, who have been getting pumped full of socialism. We get a chance to reprogram them before they head back to the cesspits that are the American universities today.

Rather than chance a stroke I will NOT take the bait. We have never had arguments during family get together´s in my entire life....however...this year my two daughter´s and their husbands all went for Obama.
I am glad their grandparents have "moved on", and I am appalled at my daughters who both gave birth this past year. I did question each separately as to how they could support a man who champion´s abortion, (both are opposed) they each replied it was because he "cares about the poor." Oh, and "Romney´s rich and dumb."
Well their parents, (us) are in foreclosure, their Dad (who put them through college and married them off...no loans)faces working another lifetime to attempt to replace a bit of what we lost these past few years. All of our stock, and all of our savings have been used up do to lack of work.
Of course one SIL is a Social Worker and counselor for the State of Illinois and the other teaches History at the Jr. High level for $70K per year.
Nice jobs, nice houses, no worries.

I am truly blessed to have both sides of mine AND my wifes´ families all being dedicated conservatives. I only have one skateboard slacker dude of a grandson that went for Coke Zero. He´s an idiot, but amiable about things, so no arguments from him. Heck, he can´t put two sentences together to make an argument, courtesy of the government schools.

And when these same Obama voters can´t pay their bills this winter (as they couldn´t last year), they best find another door to knock on. Might I suggest 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20500.

Sad to say my family is back in Massachusetts. Their mentality is a trip to NH & RI is a big deal and Boston is truly theHub. Most of them probably voted forZippy and Lizzie this time. They want free stuff. There is no conscience in their pit. Left 30+ years ago and now that the Repub parents are gone, no reason to visit the bunch of grifters. I worry blue states and their cities will begin to experience unrest much like 1968. How could we have re elected this man and his thugs?

The Democrat Party gains power when the people suffer. Because they are the entitlement, subsidy, big government Party; mixed with godlessness, immorality and a perverted version of liberty; they benefit when people destroy their lives with bad habit, addiction and perverted lifestyles.
THERE IS NO INCENTIVE FOR THE DEMOCRAT PARTY TO HELP PEOPLE BE INDEPENDENT AND SELF-RELIANT. There is every incentive for the Democrat Party to ruin people´s lives, destroy the family and tear down institutions that actually help people and lift people up.
The Democrat Party is destroying this nation because they are destroying all that sacred, good, honorable, valuable, holy and valuable.

Liberals don´t get the difference between a poor person and a professional poor person. Welfare was meant to be temporary assistance for down on their luck people which nobody has a problem with. When an 18 year old girl gets pregnant and heads straight to the welfare office upon hearing the good news, she´s choosing a life of poverty and has nothing to complain about. To me she doesn´t have a right to demand anything from anybody.
Then hey say you can punish the kid for the mother´s stupidity. Guess what those welfare brats are punished every day living under the roof of a person with no values, work ethic or moral guidance. A lot of times locked in their room so the mother can party.
Then they have to sit there when the mom´s latest BF comes stumbling through the door at 5am and all hell breaks loose, because more than likely the man was out running another woman.Cell phones are destroyed, maybe even computers. Bleach is thrown on clothes. Yeah, these kids are being punished by the sins of their mother alright.
Same excuse on illegal alien kids. No mention of kids from decent families who will have to pay off the future debt rung up by these social derelicts.

#4 all three girls in my family (including moi) were liberals in college. One sister worked at PP too. The holidays we had to listen to our conservative (immigrant - and first generation family and friends) about liberalism, socialism, fascism. Looking back I am so glad we did.
At 26 or so (about the age for each of us) we turned "conservative" or in my case libertarian/conservative because of those sewn seeds. Even my sister who worked in PP quit, admitting it was one of her biggest regrets.
Many young ones go through a stupid, idealistic stage. Thank goodness for the holidays.
All the best and Happy Thanksgiving

It´s beyond Thanksgiving.
Yes I try to avoid avoid Obama Voters AND Businesses that donated to Great Leader ........... But what do you do when there are places where you can´t avoid these people?
It´s most difficult to be civil to those who voted to ......[Take Your Choice] .... a) ruin the economy b) betray the military c) forgo religious liberty d) impose ObamaCare e) reward the welfare state f) propagandize our children g) abandon the Constitution g) betray our Nation
What do you do? and Where do you Go?
Note I cringe having to deal with office staff, restaurant workers, supermarket cashiers or bank tellers who I know voted to betrayed our Country.
What do you do? and Where do you Go?
I don´t event want utility workers, delivery people or others who voted for Great Leader. into my home.
Again What do you do? and Where do you Go?
NOTE Post Election morning 2008, I considered wearing a BLACK arm band or placing Black bunting at the window of my home ...... to grieve for our Country ......for I knew what his victory foretold .......... but decided to join the fight against the takeover of our Nation ......... unfortunately unsuccessfully.
We are now living in Rome 476, with the Great Leader of Germany 1933.
Again What do we do? and Where do we go .....from here?

BOSTON– Investigators have made a “clear identification” of a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings, according to CNN. Correspondent John King, a Boston native, said authorities have a clear video image of a “dark-skinned male” placing a package at one of the bomb sites and then leaving the area before the explosion. The breakthrough came through analysis of surveillance video from the Lord and Taylor store in Copley Square. King said his sources said the video is said to be so clear they can see the suspect’s face.

Kerry said the appointment will be made as early as Thursday, following repeated questions about the incident, during a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing. “I’ll appoint somebody tomorrow,” Kerry said. Kerry’s remark followed sharp comments from California Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, who suggested the Obama administration has lied to congressional investigators.

Derided as conspiracy nuts, opponents of the New York state gun law passed by the assembly in the aftermath of Newtown were ridiculed for being concerned that the law could lead to gun confiscation. It seemed to come out of nowhere. No one knew who’d started it – perhaps it was purely instinctual. But as the hearse came into view, the crowds found themselves breaking into applause – applause that followed the hearse all the way along the route, until it drew up at the church of St Clement Danes. Then, once the coffin had been loaded on to the gun carriage and the horses moved off, the applause started again – and followed it all the way to St Paul’s. Down the roads it spread and spread and spread,

DALLAS– Monday’s bombings of the Boston Marathon raised questions about security for the upcoming dedication of the George W. Bush Presidential Center on April 25. All five living Presidents are scheduled to participate. Security planning started months, maybe even a year ago for the event. Officially, agencies aren’t saying much. But at least four police departments and the secret service are planning for it. “You’re always in a state of re-assessment,” said Danny Defenbaugh, and he should know. The former head of the Dallas FBI also led that agency’s investigation of the bombing of

Protocol: President Obama declined to send a high-level delegation to Wednesday´s funeral of Britain´s Margaret Thatcher. It´s a measure of how little he values the special relationship — and a sign of his own smallness. Back in more gracious times, vice presidents routinely attended funerals of foreign dignitaries. As such, the presence of Vice President Joe Biden — if not Obama himself — would seem fitting for as significant a U.S. ally as the late Prime Minister Thatcher, if not out of warmth of feeling, then simply to represent the U.S.´ gratitude. Authorities on Tuesday revealed little new information about the terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon, the most high-profile bombing on U.S. soil in more than a decade and a tragedy that presents a new test for President Obama. Obama, like all Americans, is standing by, waiting for answers as to who planted two bombs improvised from pressure cookers at the finish line of the storied race, and why. Three Americans were killed in Monday´s attack and more than 170 others were injured. "Anytime bombs are used to target innocent civilians, it is an act of terror," Obama said,

MSNBC contributor Joy-Ann Reid told the host of Now, Alex Wagner, that she thought President Barack Obama’s response to the attack on the Boston Marathon on Monday was powerful and comforting in a way that President George W. Bush’s response to the attacks of September 11, 2001, was not. She accused Bush of being unavailable to the American people for the “first couple weeks” after the attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Reid told Wagner that the president’s statement actively combatted the intention of the terrorists, which is to make their targets feel “discombobulated.” “Having, sort of

An article published on CNN´s website makes an unproven claim that pressure cooker bombs like the ones used at the Boston Marathon terror attack are a ´signature´ of ´right-wing extremists.´ The article was co-written by Jennifer Roland and Peter Bergen. Bergen is the CNN ananlyst made the claim that right-wing extremists could be behind the bombing less than two hours after it took place. The article says (emphasis added) :A senior U.S. counterterrorism investigator told CNN that pressure cooker bombs have also been a signature of extreme right-wing individuals in the

As we now move into the official Political Aftermath period of the Boston bombing — the period that will determine the long-term legislative fallout of the atrocity — the dynamics of privilege will undoubtedly influence the nation’s collective reaction to the attacks. That’s because privilege tends to determine: 1) which groups are — and are not — collectively denigrated or targeted for the unlawful actions of individuals; and 2) how big and politically game-changing the overall reaction ends up being.

Mark Kelly, the husband of former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), is threatening to back an election challenge against Sen. Jeff Flake if the Arizona Republican votes against legislation to expand background checks. At a Christian Science Monitor breakfast on Tuesday, Kelly said he would back an opponent to Flake if the "right candidate" was available and if the senator failed to support a background check bill, according to reports. Flake, who is not up for reelection until 2018, has been close to Kelly and Giffords. But Kelly said the issue of control trumped their ties.

"I think we’ve got a good chance of seeing it pass if members of Congress are listening to the American people," President Obama said in an interview on NBC´s "Today Show" that aired on Tuesday. "The notion that Congress would defy the overwhelming instinct of the American people after what we saw happen in Newtown, I think, is unimaginable." Obama was then asked by Savannah Guthrie how he could expect Democrats in red states to vote on this bill when he, as a Senator, didn´t have to himself.
