Pro-Obama Reputation

Over at the Huffington Post, media reporter Michael Calderone reports that MSNBC President Phil Griffin seeks to combat the network’s growing reputation as not just being “progressive,” but being openly “pro-Obama.” Many believe the network’s “pro-Obama” reputation has, thus far, been warranted: A recent Pew study found that during the final week of the 2012 election campaign, MSNBC ran zero negative stories about President Obama; and not a single positive story about Republican challenger Mitt Romney. Comedians have also taken to mocking the network for what seems to be an

MSNBC is socialists ALL of the time, rarely a conservative voice. FoxNews has its liberals and socialists on every panel and even its business shows on the weekend. There is no comparison. FoxNews is fair and balanced.

MSNBC has been in the tank for the liberal left and slavish in its´ devotion to Barack Obama for so long that no sane person would call them anything but unfair and unbalanced. They will go broke long before they are viewed as anthing but the propaganda arm of the democrat party.

(I´ll check back in about 50yrs to see if they are living up to what´s "Fair"...and "encourage" them by Bashing them for the lack of enthusiasm in their reparations)

Unless there is a total housecleaning at NBC News and their subsidary channels such as MSNBC News, I expect the result will not be battling a "Pro-Obama Reputation" but a continued creep of that pro-Obama reputation deeper into the NBC News operations and over to CNBC.

MSNBC is a disease that kills from within.

The only way for that place to get cleaned out would be to bulldoze it to the ground while the "so called staff" was still inside.

This makes no sense: Why "battle" their pro-Obama reputation if they are right about Obama being such a great POTUS?

Second, why did they wait until the second term to suddenly get religion and admit they´ve been biased all during the first term?

Aside from MSNBC being irrelevant at best, do they think they can gain some credibility with rabid, ear-splitting, spittle-spewing, shrieking TV personalities?

Finally, who cares other than the people who own this ratings-disaster program?

Whatever is done at MSNBC, please keep the two biggest losers, Chris Matthews and Lawrence O´Donnell. What whiners and truly miserable human beings. They will do more for the other side in the long run if they continue to spout their rhetoric claiming Republicans are racists because they dared to disagree with Obama. Chris Matthews still thinks he will be the next Tip O´Neill.

Also keep Rachel Madow. She is good for pure entertainment so we can be encouraged when we see a smart, well educated, lesbian demonstrate just how miserable she is. She surely has value as a human being. Perhaps along the way we will get to see her drop her snarky, condescending ways and enter the world as an actual person.

Stop the presses! This has to be THE news item of the year!

Has anyone told MSNBC how irrelevant they really are, how they´re ALWAYS at the rock bottom of the ratings lists, that almost NOBODY watches the ranting and raving of Chris Matthews, that MSNBC almost NEVER has any opposing views on their shows, that their idea of a balanced round table is Joe Scarborough (whose ties to Republicans and conservatives were effectively severed ages ago)? Does MSNBC still not understand that less than one percent of all Americans have ever heard of Rachel Maddow or Lawrence O´Donnell(my figures I admit), or that their network is the single most biased, most disrespected channel of any network anywhere today? It wouldn´t matter if MSNBC nails pro-Obama banners across its front doors and each commentator wears "HELP ELECT OBAMA FOR A THIRD TERM" on their bright red sweatshirts The fact is, MSNBC just DOESN´T MATTER! They could go off the air permanently tomorrow and only a handful of their fellow socialists would even notice. Or care!

A fish rots from the head down.
NBC is just as awful as MSNBC.
Brian Williams is just vile.
Foster Friess , Sheldon Adelson, Rove´s multimillion PAC and the rest should forget the ads and instead
try and buy a controlling interest in
one of the networks.
It´s the only way to reach the low information voter.
FOX News should also have a directly competing half hour news show in the same low information
format as NBC, CBS and ABC.
My personal goal for the next four years is to not only avoid seeing or hearing Obama , but , to avoid anything shown on NBC , CNBC , MSNBC or
the slyly political Weather Channel.
Unfortunately, GE also owns the Military and the History Channel , so, I am not going cold turkey there, but, I will cut back.

Griffin doesn’t think his anchors sugarcoated the situation: “We hire smart people with a progressive sensibility,” he told Calderone. “I tell them to go think for themselves. We don’t have talking points.”

When you discriminate against those who are not progressive, you have only people who would write left wing talking points left, DUMA$$.

Even if they dumped all of their programming, conservatives would still not be interested. FOX NEWS has the highest ratings for very good reasons.

You probably don´t know who Reverend Michael King, Jr was. That´s because Reverend Michael King, Jr is the only private citizen to have a national holiday in his honor, and is Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. King´s father changed his and his son´s names to Martin Luther in honor of the German reformer, Martin Luther. Martin Luther, of course, was a German monk, a professor theology and iconic figure of the 16th century reform movement of Christianity, also called the Protestant Reformation. They joined an assembly line that was churning out burritos. Asked what the burritos were being stuffed with, Obama said it looked like lamb. As debate in Washington turns increasingly to the issue of income inequality, Gallup´s annual “Mood of the Nation” survey finds that two-thirds of Americans are dissatisfied with the current distribution of income and wealth in the U.S. When asked how satisfied they were with the “the way income and wealth are distributed in the U.S.,” 67 percent of respondents said they were dissatisfied, while 39 percent described themselves as very dissatisfied. In contrast, only 32 percent were content with America´s wealth distribution, and a scant 7 percent described themselves as very satisfied. While there is a sizable gap in sentiments

Think it´s hard to enroll in ObamaCare? Try getting out of it. Missouri resident Lesli Hill learned the hard way that terminating an Affordable Care Act plan can be far more difficult than navigating the website to buy one. She spent six weeks being bounced from operator to operator, calling the help line, using the online chat, blasting out emails to anyone who would listen, before ultimately driving to Kansas City last week to enlist her insurance company´s help. Only then was she able to break through the bureaucratic logjam, and cancel her policy. "It´s consumed my whole life," she

A Dallas-based company that writes research papers, essays and other classroom assignments -- so students don´t have to -- says it is doing so well that it has expanded its staff from just a few writers to more than 100 in the past year. The company bills itself as the one "students trust to write professional, in-depth and plagiarism-free essays that receive the highest grades for all levels of coursework...so they no longer have to face the burden of academic coursework." It says the writing is done for an "affordable" fee; and it has foreign writers on staff for non-American

Almost two million pounds of single-serving Kraft Velveeta Cheesy Skillet dinners are being recalled because the labels didn´t identify that they contain soy products. The 9-ounce microwaveable Ultimate Cheeseburger Mac meals were made over the last seven months and have use/sell by date between March and October, 2014. The dinners are produced by Truitt Brothers Inc. of East Bernstadt, Ky., which reported the ingredient list error to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service. The agency said there have been no reports of illnesses due to the mix-up. Consumers with questions about the recall should contact the

President Barack Obama said that racial tensions may have softened his popularity among white voters within the last two years, according to a story posted on the New Yorker magazine’s website today. “There’s no doubt that there’s some folks who just really dislike me because they don’t like the idea of a black president,” Obama said in the article by David Remnick, appearing in the magazine’s Jan. 27 edition. “Now, the flip side of it is there are some black folks and maybe some white folks who really like me and give me the benefit of the doubt precisely because I’m a black president,” Obama said in his most direct comments

Gov. Cuomo has a message for conservative Republicans — you don’t belong in New York. Cuomo said Friday that members of the GOP with “extreme” views are creating an identity crisis for their party and represent a bigger worry than Democrats such as himself. “Their problem isn’t me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves,” the governor said on Albany’s The Capitol Pressroom radio show. “Who are they? Right to life, pro-assault weapons, anti-gay — if that’s who they are, they have no place in the state of New York because that’s not who New Yorkers are.”

There was a party in the East Room of the White House Saturday night, an affair attended by a reported 500 people, a lavish celebration with celebrities galore, appearances by some of the world´s most popular performers, lots of dancing and powerful government officials, including, of course, the most powerful official of all, the President of the United States. And the White House wants to make sure you know as little as possible about it. The event was First Lady Michelle Obama´s 50th anniversary party. On the Sunday afternoon before Thanksgiving, Barack Obama sat in the office cabin of Air Force One wearing a look of heavy-lidded annoyance. The Affordable Care Act, his signature domestic achievement and, for all its limitations, the most ambitious social legislation since the Great Society, half a century ago, was in jeopardy. His approval rating was down to forty per cent—lower than George W. Bush’s in December of 2005, when Bush admitted that the decision to invade Iraq had been based on intelligence that “turned out to be wrong.” Also, Obama said thickly, “I’ve got a fat lip.” That morning,

Wendy Davis has made her personal story of struggle and success a centerpiece of her campaign to become the first Democrat elected governor of Texas in almost a quarter-century.While her state Senate filibuster last year captured national attention, it is her biography — a divorced teenage mother living in a trailer who earned her way to Harvard and political achievement — that her team is using to attract voters and boost fundraising. The basic elements of the narrative are true, but the full story of Davis’ life is more complicated, as often happens when public figures aim to define themselves. The world’s richest 85 people control the same amount of wealth as the total held by half the world’s population, according to a report issued today by the British-based anti-poverty charity Oxfam. The means the world’s poorest 3,550,000,000 (3.55 billion) people must live on what the richest 85 possess. Another way to look at it: Each of the wealthiest 85 Earthlings has access to the resources available to about 42 million of the world’s poor, a population equal to the total number of people living in Canada, with those all those from Kentucky and Kansas tossed in.

Mike Rogers, R-Mich., who heads up the intel panel, told NBC´s "Meet the Press" in an interview that will air Sunday. A new trend for male leggings, known as meggings, is about to hit the mainstream according to a new company which plans to make them accessible for all. US duo Adam Freck and Andrew Volk, who launched their Chicago-based company Meggings Man Clothing in December, are specialising in leggings for the modern man. This is a story about Nelson Mandela, and it begins on Robben Island in 1974. Prisoner number 466/64 is writing up his life story, working all night and sleeping all day. (Snip) Everyone thought Mandela was a known entity, but he turns out to have led a double life, at least for a time. By day, he was or pretended to be a moderate democrat, fighting to free his people in the name of values all humans held sacred. But by night he donned the cloak and dagger and became a leader of a fanatical sect known for its attachment

It wasn’t enough that Texas refused to set up a state insurance exchange or expand Medicaid under the new Affordable Care Act, causing the federal government to step in and create a marketplace for Texans needing healthcare coverage. No, this state, through its top Republican leaders, devised a sinister plan to sabotage the ACA (or Obamacare) altogether. And in doing so, it threw up major roadblocks for millions in this state who are uninsured. These leaders ought to be ashamed, but I learned a long time ago that (in the words of poet Nikki Giovanni) they ain’t got no shame. To assist with educating
