| Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. will announce his resignation from Congress "momentarily" in a letter to House Speaker John Boehner, Jackson´s brother Jonathan Jackson said. He spoke to the Chicago Tribune by telephone. The congressman could not be reached for confirmation. Boehner´s office also could not be immediately reached for comment. Check back for details.

Who´s surprised? The racialist zombies of his district put him back in office even though no one has seen him in months and months. He couldn´t buy a Senate seat, but I´d be willing to bet that he´s selling a House seat.

Details will emerge.
Unless Holder and Obama - for unknown reasons - really want him ruined he will get a great deal.
And the Ethics Committee? Real tigers they are. But you never know. And it would be fun to watch the CBC rant and rave if the EC actually punished Jackson.

Didn´t he just get re-elected to his seat? What´s up with THAT campaign? If he was just going to resign anyway, why did he even run?
Just drop a net over the next person walking down the street, ship him (or her) off to Washington, and let that individual keep the seat warm.

Little Racist, Jr. was doing a good job wasting a Democrat seat in the House. I was kind of hoping he would continue to waste his seat and his vote as he continued his role of the Howard Hughes of the Chicago Democrat Party. But he kept the Obamaphones and EBT cards flowing to his ghetto slaves, so they returned him back into office with a healthy margin.

President Obama pledged that the United States would punish anyone responsible for the explosions at the Boston Marathon today, but he said that “people shouldn’t jump to conclusions” about the tragedy. “We still do not know who did this or why and people shouldn’t jump to conclusions before they have all the facts,” Obama told reporters during a statement from the White House. “Any responsible individuals, any responsible groups, will feel the full weight of justice,” he added. Two explosions occurred today near the finish line of the Boston Marathon,

Clift said that the emergence of prominent victim advocates after tragic shootings has changed the politics of guns. “The Newtown families and Gabby Giffords are in the gun debate to stay, and over time their voices will be more powerful than the NRA. The culture of guns is beginning to go through a transformation in this country,” she said. Votes on proposed gun law reforms are expected to take place next week and right now it

President Obama is aware of abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell’s murder trial, but White House Press Secretary Jay Carney wouldn’t speculate about whether Obama might not support legislation such as the Born Alive Act that he opposed as a state senator. “You’re asking for hypotheticals about legislation or proposed legislation that I haven’t seen,” Carney replied when Fox News’ Ed Henry asked if Obama, having voted against a Born Alive Act in the Illinois state legislature, thought the Gosnell case suggested there was a need for such a law. “The president is aware of this,” Carney also said, adding that

The United States federal government is rapidly falling out of favor with the country’s Democrats, according to new polling data released by the Pew Research Center. The federal government has been wildly unpopular for some time, explains Pew, but even with President Barack Obama in the driver’s seat, the percentage of Democrats finding favor with the federal government has plummeted 10 points in the last year, down to just 41 percent of that party. The new data mark the first time Democrats have declared the Obama-led federal government more unfavorable than favorable, with 51 percent of Democratic respondents

WASHINGTON – New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez is holding up a vote in the U.S. Senate on a resolution honoring Margaret Thatcher, the former prime minister of the United Kingdom who died last week after suffering a stroke, multiple sources tell The Daily Caller. While the House of Representatives passed a resolution honoring Thatcher last week, Menendez, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, objects to some of the language proposed by Republicans in the Senate’s version, sources said. A copy of the proposed resolution, which would be offered by Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell, honors “the life, legacy,

If you sell a gun to your son, “there’s something wrong with your family," says New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. In a radio appearance on Friday, Bloomberg, a gun control activist and co-chair of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, praised the legislation that is now moving forward in the Senate. The bill would require universal background checks for most sales of firearms, including those online and at gun shows. “The only thing it would not cover is if you sold a gun to your son, for example,” Bloomberg told radio host John Gambling.

While pushing for more gun control legislation on the House floor, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) said, “Don’t condemn the gangbangers, they’ve got guns that are trafficked.” Jackson Lee took the House floor on April 9 to argue in favor of increased gun control legislation, “Don’t condemn the gangbangers, they’ve got guns that are trafficked -- that are not enforced, that are straw purchased and they come into places even that have strong gun laws." “Why? Because we don’t have sensible gun legislation.” Jackson Lee continued by saying that current gun laws need to be enforced,

This past Sunday on CNN’s State of the Union program, Senator Rubio complained to Candy Crowley that “everyone’s focused on passing these laws that have proven ineffective and will prove ineffective in the future.” He wasn’t talking about immigration then, but about guns. On immigration, he was the one making the argument for “passing these laws that have proven ineffective and will prove ineffective in the future.” Rubio on Sunday managed a “Full Ginsburg” — appearing on all five Sunday talk shows on the same day. Since he first became a presidential candidate, President Obama must have spent millions of dollars in legal expenses to combat dozens of so-called "birther" challenges seeking the original documents pertaining to his birth. As president, he famously issued an electronic document on the White House website in 2011; the document purported to be his long-form birth certificate, though it is apparently a forgery. In addition, he has taken great pains to hide the paper trail of passport records, college transcripts, and other data -- all of which a prospective employer might require of a job applicant.

Few Americans can not answer this question: who is the worst domestic mass murderer in United States’ history? Due to the United States media, most are aware that Timothy McVeigh slaughtered 168 people with a bomb in 1995. Most Americans also know the names of our three most monstrous serial killers: “The Green River Killer” Gary Ridgeway, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy. The U.S. media is again responsible for the general awareness of these men; these stories deserved — and received — national attention due to our common interest in personal safety, the rule of law

Here is something I don’t understand: liberals are often revealed as vile, vulgar hatemongers–not all of them, of course, but far too many–yet they never seem to pay a penalty at the polls. Why is that? Margaret Thatcher’s death has been the latest occasion for the Left to show its true stripes. All across the U.K., there have been demonstrations–vulgar at best, and violent at worst. In Bristol, lefties celebrating a Thatcher “death street party” started fires, destroyed property and battled police: This evening in Trafalgar Square, liberals have turned out for a long-planned celebration of Thatcher’s death:

Is media bias to blame for lack of Gosnell coverage? Or something far more banal? The trial of Philadelphia doctor Kermit Gosnell would seem to have all the elements of a spectacular news story: shocking allegations, horrifying visuals, sympathetic victims. Yet until late last week, much of the national media was silent as testimony about Gosnell’s alleged “house of horrors” abortion clinic rolled out. Much of the media attention outside Philadelphia, in fact, centered on how little media attention the story was receiving outside Philadelphia.

President Obama and I were college classmate at Columbia University, class of ’83. I know all too well how mindlessly liberal the students and faculty of that institution can be, and Barack Obama is certainly no exception. My time at Columbia made it crystal clear: liberals always believe they are morally superior. [Snip] It is in this cesspool of intolerance that Obama and his Marxist cronies hatched a secret plan to destroy our country. There are two things you need to know about Obama at Columbia University. First, he was Pre Law and a Political Science major- just like me.
