Alan Colmes: Don´t Hold
Susan Rice Accountable
Because She´s Black

Townhall, by Katie Pavlich

I´ve been hoping that the race card would be played out by now but sadly, it isn´t. Yesterday on America Live with Megyn Kelly, liberal Alan Colmes said Republicans shouldn´t be criticizing Susan Rice because she´s a black woman. Colmes argued that the optics of Republicans "attacking minorities" don´t look so good. "I just don´t think it is wise for Republicans on the heels of the election to pick as their first target an African-American woman, a very accomplished one just by a purely political, strategic standpoint." “The first thing they do after an election is to

Comments:
I switch channels or put the TV on mute the second this obnoxious, odious jerk comes on Fox. The only amusing thing I can come up with about Colmes is that it´s always interesting to see what hair color he will have when he appears.

If the public does not quit worrying about perhaps being called a racist, when in fact they are legitimately identifying a LIAR, no matter what color or gender they are, we will be doomed.

What a dipwad.
But let´s accept Colmes´ silly premise that, because Rice is black, she cannot be criticized.
That would certainly mean that Repubs should absolutely fight to the death to prevent her appointment to SOS. Because once appointed, she cannot be criticized or held accountable for her incompetence--again, because she is black.
Typical illogical liberal.

Since we donated the TVs I often don´t see an image of someone who makes the news, unless I go to the Daily Mail and they´ve reported that news. In short, I haven´t seen a photo of Rice and I didn´t know she was black.

Just the fact, reported by innumerable news outlets, that she appeared on five or six talk shows, saying in all of them that it was the video whodunit was enough to make me criticize her, white, beige, black, whatever.

I am so weary of race being the answer to every criticism made about anyone even remotely connected with left-wingers and their causes.

Leftists are pathologically obsessed with race, gender, ethnic background, sexual orientation, minorities, etc. They insist upon seeing individuals, not as individuals, but as specimens, examples, members, representatives etc. of some "constituency." This is against the American ethos of judging people as individuals, i.e. by their actions, abilities, values, accomplishments etc. Leftism is actually a form of prejudice and bigotry that judges people in advance according to superficial and accidental qualities such as race, sex etc. over which they have no control. It is the antithesis of common sense and American individualism.

The Leftist condition must be held to be pathological because, although the inherent contradictions and problems of their identity politics fetish is or ought to be obvious to a child, it is far from obvious to committed Leftists, who are unable to see that they are committing the very faults of judgment and transgressions of respect that they inveigh against in others. Leftists are the racists, the sexists, the whatevers. Leftists are the ones the are against. Normal Americans merely desire to evaluate and regard individuals AS individuals and on the basis of their actual behavior and values.

I have yet to see a [tree] stump dumber than Alan Colmes.

#17: That makes at least two of us, though I prefer a number of muscular swings of an oil-soaked shaft of good Pennsylvania ash with the "Louisville Slugger" oval logo thereon.

#18: Indeed, and agreed. The Left is [and must be] a world of "identities" and "feelings," because Leftist positions/principles cannot be defended logically, nor can their success in application be found empirically. It is a mythical world of perpetual early-adolescence, where bias and emotion are seen [by the Leftist] as "insight," "comprehension," even as "elevated understanding" which we benighted rationalists will never "get."

But about that last point, they are for once correct.

Reply 24 - Posted by: KTWO, 11/21/2012 1:26:55 PM     (No. 9027899)

Colmes is worthless anyway. You can´t get rid of racism by exempting some races from criticism. Or equalize the sexes by exempting women.

It is media, academics, and politicians who keep giving passes to one group or another on one issue or many. And sometimes even punishing selectively.

Then they wonder why the general population does not see that as equal justice.
