The Democratic Edge
Time, by Mark Halperin

Original Article

Posted By:Fiesta del sol, 11/21/2012 7:45:57 AM

How the left-wing Freak Show is gearing up for ’16, keying off of Marco Rubio’s recent remarks about the age of Earth, from “Morning Joe”: There’s one area where Democrats are really far ahead of Republicans right now. Science and technology, no. It’s doing this thing that Democrats failed to do in 2000, to stop George W. Bush, which is really, really early on using the left-wing Freak Show to define anyone who’s thinking of running for President, as quickly as possible, in negative terms on Twitter, on cable, on the Internet.

Comments:
This is said in a flattering way. Exactly what they did to Palin, too.

These people who want to be president must, must, must learn to DEFTLY answer the touchy questions about birth control, abortion and religion. Sad, but true.

If they are not prepared with good answers that turn off the questions, it will happen again...we will end up with another moderate who cannot tell the world what he believes without stuttering and stammering and offending someone.

And I liked and voted for Romney. He was flawed when it came to answering the tough questions because the answers were not part of his soul.

By 2016 America as we know will cease to exist. The takers will stand in lines and keep voting for democrats in early November and then go to stand in line for Thanksgiving Food stamps. If it is a 400% increase in food stamps today, it will be a 4000% increase in 2016. The likes of Halperin will continue to earn mega bucks and pontificate, while the idiot voters will believe in them and continue their personal downward spiral.

Funny how they never ask the Democrats math questions. Clearly, as a party they´ve rejected mathematic truths and replaced them with their own whackadoodle ´´religious ´´ beliefs.

I hate to start thinking about 2016 already, but Jeb Bush is a big fat "NO," and Rubio is a slightly less fat "I don´t think so." Really, is this all we got? Honestly, if PIAPS decides to run, she´ll have that "be part of a historic first" thing going for her. And the suburban lemmings who rushed out to vote for Obama to prove they are not racist will rush out and vote for Hillary! to prove they´re not sexist or haggist (is that a word?).

I wish these TV/leaning Democrat hosts would ask "who on the left knows how old the earth is?" Call it like it was, a got ya question and denounce the press for doing that. Can we look at the policys instead of the stupid got ya questions? America faces serious problems yet these hosts focus on a stupid question. Do these hosts not care about America? Oh yes, we already know the answer to that question.

When a lobbyist for families of Newtown shooting victims called the office of Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) to set up a meeting, the first response was a standard D.C. offer. They could get a meeting with her staff, and a quick and simple “hello” from Collins herself, they were told. The families’ answer: not good enough. According to their lobbyists, the families have a rule against staff-only meetings: They won’t do them. They insist on sitting down with the senators themselves.

Fig leaves wilting! It looks like the requirement that the Border Patrol catch 90% of illegal crossers–reported by the WSJ and touted by both Marco Rubio’s chief of staff and my colleague Matt Lewis as an example of the “ tough border enforcement measures” in the Gang of 8 immigration amnesty bill–has turned out to be evanescent, like so many of the other promises amnesty boosters have pitched to conservatives. Of course, the 90% “trigger” was never a barrier to legalization–illegal immigrants will get that more or less immediately under the Gang bill,

President Obama´s decision last year to allow young people living in the U.S. illegally to stay and work marked the biggest shift in immigration policy in decades, hailed as a landmark step toward the American dream for a generation of immigrants. But months later, many immigrants are having vastly different reactions to the change depending on where they live, and they aren´t flocking to the program at the levels the government originally expected. A handful of Republican-led states are blocking basic benefits for those in the program, denying beneficiaries identification cards, driver´s licenses,

Pro golfers, golf writers, and TV commentators are up in arms that Tiger Woods was only given a 2-stroke penalty for his illegal drop on the 15th hole yesterday. Tiger said last night that he dropped his ball two yards behind his previous spot, clearly violating the rule that you must drop "as nearly as possible" to your original spot. Golf people are not happy about it. They say that the new rule is B.S. (or it´s at least being misinterpreted), and Tiger should DQ himself to save the integrity of the game.

With President Obama, there’s always a catch. In the 2014 budget he announced last week, Obama proposed a more accurate way of calculating the inflation rate for annual cost-of-living increases in Social Security. It’s a technical change in pursuit of honesty and good government. And if adopted, it would cause benefits to grow more slowly, though almost imperceptibly so. Republican leaders in Congress ought to be delighted since they had “championed”—Obama’s word—the idea in the first place. Then came the catch. The president’s price for adopting this gentle reform was hundreds of billions in new tax increases.
