Clinton in Jerusalem as
Gaza truce still elusive

Gaza/Jerusalem - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was in Jerusalem for talks on Tuesday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as expectations rose of a ceasefire soon to end a week of fighting around the Gaza Strip. However, Gaza´s rulers, the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, revised a statement that a truce would start overnight, saying it was still waiting for an Israeli response to proposals and did not now expect an announcement until Wednesday. An official in the Egyptian government, whose new, Islamist leadership has been playing peace broker in Cairo,

Comments:
It´s currently midnight at the oasis for Hillary. She´s somewhere in the capitol of Israel. [If the terrorist don´t start by agreeing with that simple fact, how can there be peace? Right. The Muslim Brotherhood [Egypt], is brokering it for Hamas, their Palestinian wing].

I think Hillary is really there to see what is dug up with Yassir Arrafat´s remains & coffin. Either that, or give Egypt the $500M they wanted to extort from US.

Who better to send on a Fool´s Errand than a certifiable fool?

These re-runs about Israelis and Palestinians have been showing for over half a century now. We know the plot. The actors come and go, there are minor script changes, and the weaponry steadily advances in lethality and sophistication.

Those who count on the Arab side have made it plain as they can possibly make it that they do not believe Israel has a right to exist and that their plan is to destroy the state of Israel. Maybe there are lots more Arabs and Palestinians who don´t think that, but they don´t count. They are politically and militarily inert. So there will continue to be attacks, retaliations, threats of war, temporary cease fires, truces, and of course the everlasting talk of some metaphysical Holy Grail called The Peace Process.

When those who count, i.e. those who desire to eliminate Israel, acquire nuclear weapons they will use them n Israel. This will not be the smartest thing they have ever done, for Israel will retaliate massively. There will be mushroom clouds all over the place. Other Arab nations will enter the fray against Israel. Ground wars will ensue. The U.S. will become involved. There will be mass casualty attacks on the American homeland. Russia and China may or may not get (more) involved. A world war is not impossible.

In the end, of course, the U.S. will be the victor, though at fantastic cost in lives and materiel. It seems a shame to have to go through all that, especially when it could be prevented.

At least we will wind up with the oil fields, which we should have seized long before now. We are literally paying Islamic medieval throwbacks to wage war on us and modernity.

There´s a rumor on a reliable pro Israel blog (not Debka, a reliable blog) that Obama and Clinton have threatened Netanyahu if he invades. The US won´t resupply Israel, the US won´t support Israel at the UN. The Chicago thug treatment for our ally, money and roses for the Muslim Brotherhood. Netanyahu should throw Hillary out on her ample caboose.

Hamas has been sending missiles into Israel for years, yet two months ago when Benjamin Netanyahu asked for a meeting with Obama to discuss growing Middle Eastern tensions when both were in New York, Obama had so little interest in the subject he preferred to spend his time instead appearing on ´´The View.´´

So why is Hillary suddenly flying off to Israel to meet with Mr. Netanyahu now? At whose request?

The Obama administration´s attitude toward Israel and its prime minister has been one of open rejection, so it´s doubtful a call from Mr. Netanyahu caused Hillary to rush to Jerusalem, and why would the Israelis want her there since they´re winning their war against Hamas?

Can anyone doubt it was Mr. Morsi, president of Egypt and the Muslim Brotherhood, who urgently requested Hillary´s presence, which she urgently supplied, so she that she could broker a cease-fire that would prevent Israel from completing its anti-terrorism actions against Hamas?

If the Israelis were stupid enough to support a television program like ´´The View,´´ that´s where Mr. Netanyahu should be spending his time now, instead of spending a minute listening to Hillary.

Democrats from President Obama on down have been touting Obamacare´s sign-up numbers. Even after the system´s disastrous rollout, they like to point out, roughly three million people have signed up for private insurance, while 6.3 million have signed up for Medicaid. "Already, because of the Affordable Care Act, more than nine million Americans have signed up for private health insurance or Medicaid coverage," Obama said in the State of the Union speech. Tehran, Iran — A senior Iranian naval commander says his country has sent several warships to the Atlantic Ocean, close to U.S. maritime borders for the first time. The commander of Iran’s Northern Navy Fleet, Admiral Afshin Rezayee Haddad, is quoted by the official IRNA news agency as saying Saturday that the vessels have already begun the journey to the Atlantic Ocean via waters near South Africa. Iranian officials said last month that the fleet consisted of a destroyer and a logistic helicopter carrier, which will be on a three-month mission. Haddad says the fleet is approaching U.S. maritime borders for the first time.

He had faced 39 counts. Authorities say he abused one victim for seven years, beginning when the boy was nine, and abused another boy from the ages of 8 to 13. The tech firm will now pay its 401(k) company match only to employees who are active on Dec. 31 of that year, as opposed to in their paychecks throughout the year. So those who leave the company before the end of the year will forfeit the match. AOL CEO Tim Armstrong blamed $7.1 million in additional Obamacare costs the company is facing this year. It is one of the most common - albeit, ineptly used - elements of the English language. Now, an American academic has suggested that the comma could be abolished as a punctuation mark. Professor John McWhorter claims removing commas from most modern U.S. texts would cause ´little loss of clarity´ - meaning they may now be in a state of obsolescence. He adds that internet users are becoming increasingly carefree in their use of the punctuation mark - with some professional writers following suit, according to The Times. ´[You] could take them out of a great deal of modern American

The theme among a bevy of challengers seems to be that Cornyn is a CINO, a conservative in name only. This is not just counter-intuitive but counter-factual. Various ratings — liberal and conservative — have agreed on one thing, Cornyn´s conservative credentials are genuine. Not conservative? Cornyn is No. 2 in Senate leadership and diverged only slightly from the conservative playbook in a year in which he offered a measure that would further beef up security at the
