I have changed my shopping habits for economic reasons, and also am probably one of the 1 or 2%. And maybe that´s why. I can´t believe the shopping carts of some people. They need a transfusion of good Scots blood.

Here businesses are operatinng on slim margins and yet they find the means to give.

I am trying really hard to feel sympathy/empathy but reality is they voted for him..many of those who are having to go to the food pantries and those running the food pantries. Even more disconcerting, many of those going to the food pantry, also get food stamps, are pulling unemployment/disability checks as well. Many don´t want to work and why should they...they get it for free. Cynical no...many of us who have responded to these homes (some sort of law enforcement capacity or EMS capacity) see them driving brand new SUV´s, wearing designer clothes, diamonds, gold teeth, big screened tv´s in every room, satilite dishs all over the roof of their low income house with a receiver with ever tv...so no no sympathy...none. I feel for those who really do need it the elderly, who get 795.00 a month when the welfare mother next door gets 2700.00 in support a month.

Our church had to start limiting how much food they were handing out to each family - the demand is overwhelming. Democrats love the poor so much they are creating millions more of them every year.

Picked up on something interesting on the local Philly news, something I rarely watch. They were showing video of food being delivered to a food bank. The announcer stated that it was ready to be delivered to "deserving" families. The choice of "deserving" struck me as odd, how about needy, poor, unemployed, even down and out? Maybe it´s just me, but changing the narrative this way bothers me.

I don´t understand. Who are the 55% who think O. is doing a "super" job? Aren´t any of the 55% feeling the pain yet?

The takers voted for handouts, so don´t be surprised to see them taking handouts.

I was hoping I could find the video I saw a few years back where someone went to a food line for Thanksgiving and interviewed the people in line. They all had cable tv, refrigerators, microwave ovens, and various other modern conveniences. No doubt they all had plenty of food stamps, EBT cards, and WIC coupons. Oh, and all the people serving food were white.

I am trying to feed my family frugally. We are going to eat less meat- cant afford it.

However, I am a very ceeative cook- and make fabulous tasting food ... I just having to always be creative and making do...

Stinks.

It may sound hard-hearted but I live in the Boston area and I say: let the moonbats deal with the problem. They created it. They´ve stolen a huge chunk of my income through taxes. No more.

We conservatives are fond of the expression, "If you give a man a fish, he´ll eat for a day, but teach him to fish...." My question is this: How many people have any of us actually taught to fish?

We keep giving to charity and food pantries, then gripe about people at the grocery store using EBT cards to buy bucket loads of snacks and luxury items. I´ve seen it, too.

Maybe we need to stop the generic giving and focus on those we actually KNOW who are needy; and maybe try to find how they got in such a pickle. Then teach them to fish. It´s a thought.

Food insecurity ?

The most needy are the unemployed single and the elderly who cannot make ends meet on SS.

Welfare moms need to name the kids In The Free Line. Not only are they getting food stamps, free food at school, but many are getting emergency cash on their EBT cards, plus they sign all of the kids up for toys at Christmas. Where is it written that kids need expensive electronic and designer clothes if somebody else is paying ?

They need angel trees for seniors.

When people ask for help, a church in TN interviews these people in their homes. If there are fancy cell phones, more than basic TV service, refrigerators full of beer, plenty of clothes in the closet,etc. help will be denied.
