Greenhouse gases hit record high
BBC News [UK], by Staff

Greenhouse gases in the atmosphere hit a new record high in 2011, the World Meteorological Organization has said. In its annual Greenhouse Gas Bulletin released on Tuesday, the organisation said that carbon dioxide levels reached 391 parts per million in 2011. The report estimates that carbon dioxide accounts for 85% of the "radiative forcing" that leads to global temperature rises. Other potent greenhouse gases such as methane also reached record highs. The carbon dioxide levels appear to have been rising at a level of two parts per million each year for the last 10 years - with the latest measure

Comments:
I think they are actually measuring B.S. levels.

This is such utter BS.
CO2 represents about 2% of the atmoshere.
And virtually all of that CO2 is naturally occurring, mainly from decay of organic matter and plants, but also from volcanoes and respiration of animal life.
Man-made CO2 from combustion of coal, oil, petrochemicals, etc.represents one one-hundredth (1/100) of that CO2--or 0.2% of the atmosphere.
So, we are talking about tiny, tiny quantities of man-made CO2 as compared to the atmosphere. The major greenhouse gas is water vapor, NOT CO2.
The World Meteorological Organization is comprised of liars or ignoramuses--or both.

Actually #2, 391 ppm comes to an astounding .0391% of all atmospheric gases.

Or to put it in a little more understandable perpsective, it would be a grand total of 39 people in a crowd of 100,000 who are watching a bowl game in a giant football stadium.

But you are right in that human industrial activity is responsible for only a small amount of that, somewhere in the single digits of the whole.

To say that human produce CO2 has any measurable effect on global temperatures is a totally bogus and unsustainable assumption.

The masses will be dwindling because that is another major desire of the annointed ones. How else could they be considered good stewards of the human race unless they cull the herd every now and again.

And the more astonishing fact is that only CO2 emissions from the US causes 100% of the problems.

The rest of the world´s CO2 emissions, probably 90% now, will be reduced someday. Real soon. For they are good people.

Unfortunatly you can buy, for a very modest price, an extremely accurate hand held meter that can tell you how much CO2 is in the air. I have one in my car...just in case I run into global warming zealots. Hillarity ensues. Worth every penny I paid for it.

Of course when I mentioned running into GW zealots I did not mean actually running them over. I have a firm rule of not running over people in my car...actually, in the case of global warming zealots it´s more like a guideline.

Chef Vered Guttman braved the challenge of preparing a White House Passover seder in line with Michelle Obama´s healthy eating guidelines and lived to tell her story. "The traditional seder fare is hardly fresh or healthy," Guttman wrote in a post-dinner review about incorporating vegetable sides to "offset some of the Jewish carbs" like gefilte fish and matzo ball soup. And her hard work to keep it healthy paid off, as both the President and First Lady praised her quinoa-kale salad and even inquired after the recipe. A new poll shows former secretary of state Hillary Clinton´s (D) numbers hitting their lowest point in six years. The last time her numbers were in that ballpark was during the 2008 Democratic presidential primary race. After she ended her campaign, her favorable/unfavorable split was 47/46. DENVER | Colorado Democrats abandoned their own divisive abortion proposal Wednesday, axing the bill after one lawmaker expressed indecision and it became clear they might not have the votes to pass it in a chamber where every vote matters. Democrats used a legislative maneuver to shelve a bill that would have banned any state regulation of reproductive decisions such as abortion and contraception. It had been scheduled for a vote Wednesday evening in the Senate, where the party holds a slim one-seat majority. The move came after Sen. Climate change’s latest casualty appears to be fish — or more specifically, fish brains — as researchers say the carbon dioxide that’s being absorbed into the ocean is causing the scaly creatures to lose their survival instincts. In other words, the fish are losing their minds, The Daily Mail reported. The acid from atmospheric carbon dioxide seeps into sea waters, dissolves and ultimately lowers the pH balance, researchers said. The acidic waters then hamper the fishes’ sensory systems, so they’re not able to distinguish between smells any longer, the scientists went on. When the acid levels get really high, the fish lose their
