Petraeus vs. Petraeus

| When David Petraeus told Congress on Friday that he knew almost from the get-go that Ambassador Chris Stevens was killed in a terror attack in Libya, the former CIA director was contradicting information put out by two prominent Obama appointees. The first is United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice. The Sunday after the attack, Ms. Rice took to the talk shows to blame everything, falsely, on an Islamic mob outraged by a blasphemous YouTube video. Mr. Petraeus says the CIA´s original talking points mentioned al Qaeda. If this was edited out, we ought to know who did it—and why.

Who decided to release the 2010 photo and who began to characterize Agent Humphries as ´obsessed´ with the woman? Clearly, it was an organized attempt to smear Mr. Humphries and to divert attention away from the real culprits in the Zero Administration.

Amb. Rice was the designated front because of only one thing: Plausible ignorance.
She was fed a mendacious storyline, had no knowledge of the facts and was the perfect marionette.
She willingly agreed to the role and no doubt was informed of the strategy beforehand.

President Zero is about to find out that there are federal career employees, at CIA, FBI, Defense, and State, that are going to be coming out with the truth. That is one advantage to having career civil servants. They help bring out the truth.

We´ve all seen people do what Ms.Rice did for Obama. In the corporate world you have both men and women who will do whatever it takes to move up that ladder. She was willing to take the risk that what she was saying was either accurate, or would not be proved otherwise. Petraeus had already gone before congress and backed the story she was peddling. This task had low risk and high reward written all over it! Obama is completely right when he says he is the one to go after on this and not the little lady.

What a tangle they all weave.....
Washington DC is lost -- people.....
It´s up to US to stay local and work on "state´s rights".. Of course that is if you have a state worth saving. Mine here in Illinois is done -- so I´m selling and moving out. Thanks to the obama/economy that´s not so easy....

Former political operative turned National Security Director Tom Donilon must be pleased that thusfar he has managed to fly under everyone´s radar regarding the alteration of the CIA intel report on Benghazi.
Charged with protecting Obie from any foreign eruption that might disturb the delicate balance of his reelection campaign during its final months, "taking care of" a messy thing like the Benghazi murders was surely part of his job description.
If you doubt me, read about him here and see what you think. New York Times puff piece written just 12 days after the Benghazi attack:
A Manager of Overseas Crises, as Much as the World Permits By PETER BAKER http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/24/us/politics/tom-donilon-a-manager-of-overseas-crises.html?pagewanted=all
An excerpt:
“He is ferociously protective of the president’s priorities,” which is part of his job, said Kori Schake, who worked on President George W. Bush’s national security staff, “but comes down squarely on the side of the president’s political interests when they are at odds with our national interests.” She cited the timeline imposed on the Afghanistan troop surge, a move that mollified the antiwar left but has been criticized as premature.

#7, I´ve been wondering when McCain and Graham would wise up and haul the political hack Donilon before a Congressional Committee and put him under oath. Since most of the Obama-ites don´t even believe in God, people should make the basic assumption that Donilon will be lying.
As to Rice, I think she is so convinced of Obama´s "goodness" and so over-confident of her own judgment, that she never questioned the truthfulness of what she was being given as talking points. The fact that she never questioned why she, who in the president´s own words had nothing to do with Benghazi, was being sent out to explain what happened, tells all we need to know about her unquestioning slobbering devotion to the man. The woman has been involved in some of the biggest diplomatic and foreign policy failures in the past two decades, Rwanda genocide not the least.

The WSJ, always smug, as they are the WSJ, leads from behind and summarizes a story written numerous times by others. I wonder if the WSJ would address their questions to Obama, rather than its readers. I am just a little frustrated at the lack of courage from our press. Do your job. Why did Gen Petraeus turn his back on his country? Between his September 14 testimony before Congress that the Benghazi attack was a result of the YouTube video, and his November 16 testimony that he knew it was a terrorist attack all along, all segments of the Obama Administration blamed the attack on the video. Four Americans were murdered, Al Qaeda is flourishing and a Presidential Election was at stake. Tragically, Petreaus waited until AFTER the election to state what he knew from the outset. Had he come forward with the truth and challenged even his “Commander in Chief,” he could have singlehandledly resolved the issue, and very likely altered the election outcome and changed the course of US history. He would have been the true American hero for generations to come. Duty, Honor, Country -- no "job" is worth more than that.

Its pretty clear that President Obama and his close in crew have been on a mission to essentially airbrush radical Islamist terrorists out of just about every terrorist incident that has occurred since he has been elected. To them there is no war on terror, at least that they will admit publicly.
Terror is a tactic that is being used by enemies who the Obama crew refuses to admit are there for everybody to see.
The terrorist incident at Fort Hood where a radical Islamist who infiltrated the US military murdered a number of US soldiers is a prime example, even though the terrorist was yelling "God is great" in Arabic as he was performing his murderous personal jihad, the picture of what was going on there could not be more clearer, yet the Obama crew classified the incident as an instance of "workplace violence".
And what did the generals who are responsible for force protection say after that? If you remember their response, you should not be surprised at the apparent lack of veracity in David Petraeus´s testimony and statements before Congress.

Obama appointed Susan Rice as the UN Ambassador, IMO, because of her name. In his tiny brain, he probably thought the morons who voted for him wouldn´t know the difference between Susan Rice and Condoleesa Rice - they are both light-skinned black women. He just piggy-backed onto what George W. Bush did by appointing Condoleesa as SOS. The same moron voters don´t know the difference between the UN and SOS.
It is turning out the Susan "ain´t no Condoleesa".

Nothing matters anymore about any of these things. This country is gone - never to be restored again. I don´t even think a civil war would work this time as the country has so many people who want the country to go on the path it is going (down the tubes) so that there is NO return. It does not matter what anyone says or does, Republicans, conservatives, and any other people who love this country. It is gone.....

The quasi-official ideology of the U.S. armed forces holds that generals are virtually interchangeable, that individual personalities don’t matter much, that ordinary grunts are in any case more important than their leaders, and that what really counts are larger systems that make a complex bureaucracy function. There is some truth to all of this. But for all of the bureaucratic heft of the services and the heroism of ordinary soldiers, it is hard to imagine the Civil War having been won without Grant, Sherman, and Sheridan—or World War II without Marshall, Eisenhower, Patton, Bradley, Arnold, LeMay, Nimitz, Halsey,

Last August a 28-year-old gay-rights volunteer named Floyd Corkins entered the office lobby of the Family Research Council (FRC), a Christian traditional-values group headquartered in Washington that condemns homosexual conduct and opposes same-sex marriage. Corkins took a gun from his backpack and fired three shots at building manager Leo Johnson, one of them wounding the unarmed Johnson in the arm before he wrested the gun from Corkins. FORT WORTH -- For 21/2 years, Germain Gardea kept his wives in the dark. The 38-year-old flight instructor spent weekdays in Arlington with his first wife, Jennifer Saldivar, and their young son. On weekends, he left town for his job as an instructor at a flight school, residing in Grapevine with his second wife, Leslie Gardea, who traveled during the week. To keep the women from finding out about each other, he created fake divorce documents on the Internet and filed his first wife´s taxes, marking her as single without her knowledge. But the deception came crashing down in May after Leslie Gardea

The Supreme Court could soon end one of the federal government´s most archaic practices. Since the 1930s, the Agriculture Department has turned California raisin growers into pawns of its Raisin Administrative Committee, which can commandeer up to half of the farmer´s crop and then pay them little or nothing for the product. Marvin Horne, a 67-year-old raisin farmer in Fresno, Calif., was fined almost $700,000 for refusing to surrender control of much of his harvest to the government committee in 2002. There are many who scoff at Andrew Cuomo’s chances in a presidential primary campaign, but I am not among them. His name is an iconic Democratic brand, he’s forceful on the stump and a prodigious fund-raiser. Besides, somebody has to win the nomination. Of course, there are hurdles. Saint Hillary is gearing up to run, and there will be a scrum among contenders, probably including Vice President Joe Biden, competing just to be Clinton’s top rival. The scenario, then, is daunting but doable — or at least it was,

Historian James Thomas Flexner referred to George Washington as "the indispensable man." Americans all know he was a general, but have you ever wondered what grade of general? How many stars did Gen. Washington have? In today´s Army, a one-star general is a brigadier; two stars is a major general; three stars is a lieutenant general; four stars is just plain general. During World War II, Congress created the five-star general, the modern rank of general of the Army. There had been an earlier grade that was called general of the Army,

Imagine the pitch to a History Channel executive for the smash hit The Bible. Here’s one scenario: Producers Roma Downey and Mark Burnett: “Hi, we want to produce a story that appeals to all age groups. It’s has everything: love, lust, greed, war, self-sacrifice and redemption. It’s called ‘The Bible.’” Executive: “Could you repeat that? You said ‘The Bible’?” RD and MB: “Yes – we want to retell the Bible for this generation. And we think we can make money doing it. Since the Shermans of General Patton´s Third Army crossed the Rhine on March 22, 1945, there have been American tanks in Germany. No more, as John Vandiver of Stars and Stripes reports. The U.S. Army’s 69-year history of basing main battle tanks on German soil quietly ended last month when 22 Abrams tanks, a main feature of armored combat units throughout the Cold War, embarked for the U.S. The departure of the last M-1 Abrams tanks coincides with the inactivation of two of the Army’s Germany-based heavy brigades.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank
