I saw another article online this morning that said retailers have ruined every holiday and I don´t disagree with that. Some stores think Christmas starts in October now so that by the time Christmas actually gets here, you´re sick of it. I am certainly sick of having merchandising and commercialism shoved down my throat 24/7 and I wish there was something that could be done about it. Is there no sense of propriety anymore?

What a nightmare this has become with greed, fights, and traffic jams.
Worse yet, houses nearby already have Christmas lights up. Same people will be the last to take them down.

Seriously, why would any one care whether retailers or next door neighbors acknowledge Christmas "too early"?
Just be happy people are spending money so people can have jobs so they can pay their bills and not go on welfare.
We already have the muslims and atheists trying to ruin Christmas (review previous posts over the past days on this site) in general all over America that I cannot believe so many Americans are jumping on the same band wagon.
I would rather see Best Buy, Target and Kmart lines, than soup, unemployment and pan handling lines. So far the latter far outnumber the former this season.

I also heard it is to ´break the fall´ of greedy shoppers barging through the doors while it is still dark out and stampeding over store employees. People have been killed and seriously injured.
Let the die-hards who don´t have plans for the day, go on Thanksgiving. Friday for those who MUST, should be a tad calmer.

An IRS source says that the Internal Revenue Service has fired Holly Paz, the director of the agency’s Rulings and Agreements office. The source says Paz was fired last Friday, and a second IRS source tells National Review Online that Paz “dropped off the edge of the world” that day, and that her agency-issued computer, phone, and Blackberry show no activity since then. It’s not bad enough that he blew two highly classified programs designed, with considerable safeguards to protect civil liberties, to monitor telephone calls and Internet traffic. In a Gallup tracking poll released Tuesday, former-President George W. Bush currently stands with a favorability rating of 49%, compared to 46% who see the 43rd president unfavorably. Meanwhile, another Gallup poll shows President Obama with only a 47% approval rating, with 44% disapproving. If you think about it, this makes perfect sense. After all, Obama fooled everyone when he ran as the anti-Bush in 2008. Everyone thought Obama meant he would be less hawkish than his predecessor. The Senate voted overwhelmingly today to move debate forward on the Gang of Eight’s immigration bill. Only 15 Republicans voted No. Not all the Republicans who voted to move the bill forward today will necessarily vote for its passage, but it appears to be a foregone conclusion that the bill will indeed make it out of the Senate in more or less its current form. This is, I think, mystifying. I can understand why Democrats would vote for the bill: over the next ten years, it will result in somewhere between 30 million and 57 million new legal immigrants

Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.) said Wednesday that the incidence of pregnancy caused by rape is "very low," prompting criticism from Democrats who said the GOP is waging a "war on women." Franks made the comment during a committee mark-up of his late-term abortion ban bill, which is expected pass the House next week. The Republican lawmaker was arguing against a Democratic amendment allowing rape and incest victims to procure abortions. As written, the bill only exempts women whose lives are in danger.
