Column: McCain uses Susan
Rice to relaunch war on women

USA Today, by DeWayne Wickham

Original Article

Posted By:NorthernDog, 11/19/2012 4:27:27 PM

John McCain and Lindsey Graham are on a fool´s errand. The hawkish GOP senators have launched a pre-emptive strike against Susan Rice, the U.N. ambassador, who is a contender to replace Secretary of State Hillary Clinton once Clinton quits her job as the nation´s top diplomat. With President Obama winding down the Afghanistan war over their protests, McCain, R-Ariz., and Graham, R-S.C., have now opened a domestic front against the president´s foreign policy by going after Rice. They couch their opposition to her in an overblown objection to Rice´s inaccurate characterization of the Sept. 11 attack

Comments:
She told a bald face lie, over and over again. I guess pointing that out is ´war language´.

Way to go, guys! Keep it up! Let´s make sure we never get a Republican President again. She said what she was told to say. She didn´t alter the CIA report herself. It is foolish to go after her as a surrogate for Obama. If O wants her in his cabinet - LET him! Should we really care if he wants to surround himself with sycophantic fools? She can´t do any more damage than O himself...

There is a long list of reasons to oppose Rice, Benghazi is merely the cherry on top. Just in Africa, Samantha Power referred to her as a bystander to genocide during the ´94 slaughter in Rwanda. She blocks any UN action against current Rwandan President Paul Kagame, who finances and supplies Congolese terror group M23, a group that uses child soldiers. Any ally or old friend that commits atrocities is given a free pass. Democrats are not going to give her enough votes to be confirmed. She´s more fit to be Idi Amin´s wife than SOS.

Sorry #1, it does not matter what we do so we should just do the right thing.

All of us should get used to this. Notice how few white heterosexual white males have been pushed into political life on the left lateley? There haven´t been any and this column is the reason why. As long as the appointee/Spokesman/party hack is from a bona fide victims group any opposition can be labeled an ism of some sort. Racism, sexism, homophobism, anti islamiacism etc etc etc. The left has not defended any of their leaders on merit in years, only on the supposed bigotry of the right.

This is the intellectual bankruptcy of the left. Grievance group membership is the only defining force of character. The correct opinion can only be voiced by a victims group or agreed to by non victims. And in the lefty world of today there are only virtuous and angellic victims and evil disgusting bigoted republicans.

Liberal women are weaklings used by liberal men. Rice, supposedly an expert on Africa, couldn´t figure out, just with common sense, that this was an al qaeda hit? Our intelligence agencies thought they could hide this fact from the American people? (going along with obama´s fairytale is aiding and abetting) Stupid rice should have wondered why SHE was the chosen one for the tv shows. Time for her to retire (perhaps MA could offer her an important job that she is unfit to do but garners a lot of money and power).

The Congress needs to go ahead and pass a law that prohibits any criticism of an African American female who holds elected or appointed office as a Democrat in any local, state or federal government.

Further, this law would prohibit any person of color from running for office as the candidate of any party other than the Democratic Party.

Finally the law will permit racist and sexist speech against a person of color so long as that person holds elected or appointed office as a Republican.

KABUL, Afghanistan -- A NATO airstrike in eastern Afghanistan killed 11 civilians, 10 of them children, in addition to the Taliban militants it was trying to hit, Afghan officials said. The strike late Saturday in the Shigal district of restive Kunar province near Pakistan was called by coalition forces after they and their Afghan counterparts came under an attack that killed one American advisor and badly wounded four Afghan troops. The American death was reported on Saturday, but details of the alleged civilian casualties only surfaced Sunday. Wasifullah Wasifi, spokesperson for the governor of Kunar province, said the strike

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.

Climate change is expanding sea ice in Antarctica, a paradoxical finding that appears to be the result of melting glaciers, according to a new study. As freshwater glaciers melt, cold water sinks into the ocean, keeping the sea colder than it would otherwise be. The fresh water is less dense than seawater, so it floats on the top layer of the ocean, which in turn stays cooler. That makes it easier for the seas to freeze again in the Antarctic fall and winter, scientists say. This negative feedback is expected to continue, they added. Sea ice levels

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”
