GOP’s untold gains on state level
Politico, by Grover G. Norquist and Patrick Gleason

Once again, the collective wisdom among the talking heads on TV, editorial boards across the country and the consultant class on both the right and the left is that the Republican Party is on the ropes and basically needs to become more like the Democratic Party if it wants to survive. One hears this “helpful advice” with some skepticism, as it is a verbatim repeat of the voices of 1964, 1974, 1982, 1986, 1992 and more recently 2008. That history and more importantly, a look at the hard numbers tell a different story. Republicans made

alifornia is one of the Luck 13 that the Stanacrats took a super majority in over both houses. Now with Moonbeam at the ink pen, and the Rats with a super majority there is no limit as to how high taxes will go, how much spending will rise and where it will ever stop. Moonbean can not veto anything the House and Senate want. With $382 Billion in total debt, over 6 million Califdornian´s unemployed and on food stamps and these numbers going up faster than a speeding layoff notice, we are in real trouble.

Another bit of circumstantial evidence that the federal results were fraudulent. Why would massive numbers of voters choose Republicans at the state level then turn around and vote for Obama?

President Barack Obama traveled to California Friday to highlight the state’s drought emergency at two events near Fresno, calling for shared sacrifice to help manage the state’s worst water-shortage in decades. He then spent the rest of the weekend enjoying the hospitality of some of the state’s top water hogs: desert golf courses. (Snip) The 124 golf courses in the Coachella Valley consume roughly 17 percent of all water there, and one quarter of the water pumped out of the region’s at-risk groundwater aquifer, according to the Coachella Valley Water District. Federal agents believe drug cartels have moved into Colorado and are using the recent legalization of marijuana within the state as a front to make money illegally. Drug cartels – both from Columbia and Mexico – have suffered major revenue losses following the legalization of recreational marijuana in Colorado on January 1. The Feds believe the gangs will now turn to the legal businesses in the state to find ways of making up for the shortfall in their profits. ‘Our intelligence tells us, and all indications are (drug cartels) are going to move in if they haven´t already,’ Tom Gorman,

“Son of God” producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey have cast Satan out of their upcoming Biblical epic about Jesus Christ, an individual familiar with the 20th Century Fox project has told TheWrap. “Son of God” is a reshaped version of last year’s hit History Channel miniseries “The Bible,” which co-starred Mohamen Mehdi Ouazanni as Satan. Burnett and Downey came under fire last year because Ouazanni bears a striking resemblance to President Barack Obama, though the producers said at the time that the casting controversy was unintentional and merely coincidental. “Someone made a comment that the actor who played the

Chicago - A warmer Arctic could permanently affect the pattern of the high-altitude polar jet stream, resulting in longer and colder winters over North America and northern Europe, US scientists say. The jet stream, a ribbon of high altitude, high-speed wind in northern latitudes that blows from west to east, is formed when the cold Arctic air clashes with warmer air from further south. The greater the difference in temperature, the faster the jet stream moves. According to Jennifer Francis, a climate expert at Rutgers University, the Arctic air has warmed in recent years as a result of melting polar

Is work becoming optional? In our zeal to alleviate poverty, and to protect our most vulnerable, have we invited Americans to put their feet up and take it easy? That’s how many read the recent CBO report predicting job losses courtesy of Obamacare. Data on the condition of our long-term unemployed, and the impact of extended unemployment compensation points in the same direction. After five years of disappointing job growth, isn’t it time for the Obama White House to think more critically about why our workforce participation is at a 35-year low? And about why it is that employers continue

This law, the affordable care act, is about a healthier life, the liberty to pursue your happiness. That is solid policy, and the mandate is central to that. Once again, bitter feelings are being cast in the direction of Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz. With the House passing the “clean” debt ceiling bill and sending it to the Democratic-controlled Senate, it was clear that this particular bill was going to be passed and sent to the president for his signature. But Cruz didn´t want to let Senate Republicans, including Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., off the hook and give President Obama a blank check to once again increase the debt ceiling as we are drowning in red ink. He didn't want Republicans to simply vote against the bill, hiding behind the Democrat majority who were sure to pass it.
