Is Rice Cooked?
New York Times, by Maureen Dowd

Original Article

Posted By:earlybird, 11/18/2012 3:54:53 PM

OUR Rice is better than your Rice. That’s the argument Democrats are aggressively making against Republicans. (Snip) Ambitious to be secretary of state, Susan Rice wanted to prove she had the gravitas for the job and help out the White House. So the ambassador to the United Nations agreed to a National Security Council request to go on all five Sunday shows to talk about the attack on the American consulate in Libya. “She saw this as a great opportunity to go out and close the stature gap,” said one administration official.

But it´s not a movie...

Ok, I read the first three paragraphs and that was enough. So, can I ask how old that photo of Dowd is? I have a friend who until recently wore a t-shirt that says "Kiss me, I´m 40" on the front. It was a favorite until a saleskid in a store asked her "How long have you had that shirt?"

So, Ms. Dowd, how long have you had that photo?

I wish congress would stop focusing on her and ask the real question of why nothing was done to help the Ambassador, Smith, woods, Doherty and others who were in danger. Obomination did NOTHING and watched them die!

Dowd, normally a dem transcriptionist, smells something in the air. She will be able to point to this piece, after King Putt´s flameout, and say "I told you so."

First Milbank and now Dowd who seems sober in this article for a change.

I never thought of the angle that she went on these shows lying to build up her resume for SoS but then again I don´t like like the crafty leftists.

Rice´s nomination is toast regardless of the CBC crying out loud.

The whole Libya scandal has absolutely nothing to do with Condi Rice, so why has Dowd inserted her name in the opening paragraphs of her weak opinion piece? Dowd spews venom with every word she writes. She is a hateful, vengeful poisonous columnist who doesn´t write any better than a freshman in journalism school. How she keeps a job is totally beyond explanation. What a despicable human being!

I hope when she testifies in front of Congress they ask her what evidence she has that she thought it was a demonstration.

Simply compare Rice to Bolton...She pales in comparison ....Rice and gravitas in the same sentence...laughable and ludicrous.

Until appointments are made based upon real accomplishments rather than skin tone...we will continue down the road to Affirmayptive Action ruin and the Jarxists running our universities will continue to demonise and ban conservatives as racists ..while inviting those who approve of bestiality all in the same week. Susan Rice, proving once again that anything Obama touches turns to rubbish. Spreading Obama´s lies on five Sunday talk shows didn´t enhance her resume for SoS, but it did enhance her resume for PoS.

Read her Wikipedia page. Rice was rubbish before Obama got anywhere near her. She´s been trying to turn herself into a major player for years. The results: disaster. It´s all there.

Maureen Dowd is clearly no friend of Susan Rice. She lambasts her so thoroughly here that this piece is being quoted elsewhere.

Maybe MoDo finally found something that enhanced her brainpower?

She´s a heck of a lot more vitriolic than anyone else writing about Rice, including our guys...

As I noted elsewhere, susan rice wrote a doctoral dissertation about zimbabwe politics. One of the dirty little tricks of selecting a dissertation topic is to pick one from an obscure part of the world, where the student is the expert.
I once worked with a young woman who wrote her doctoral dissertation on political economy, and she selected a country in South America, and wrote about land ownership. She admitted to me that property deeds in that country were so inaccurate that she simply manufactured her data, and her dissertation committee members signed off on her fake research, having no greater knowledge than she had.
I have this suspicion about susan rice...

WASHINGTON – Retired as a city worker, Sheila Pugach lives in a modest home on a quiet street in Albuquerque, N.M., and drives an 18-year-old Subaru. Pugach doesn´t see herself as upper-income by any stretch, but President Barack Obama´s budget would raise her Medicare premiums and those of other comfortably retired seniors, adding to a surcharge that already costs some 2 million beneficiaries hundreds of dollars a year each. More importantly, due to the creeping effects of inflation, 20 million Medicare beneficiaries would end up paying higher "income related" premiums for their outpatient and prescription coverage over time.

Singer Beyonce and Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter traveled to Cuba “pursuant to an educational exchange trip” organized by an authorized company, the U.S. Treasury Department said in response to inquiries from Florida lawmakers. The trip by the celebrity couple spurred widespread media coverage after two U.S. representatives from Florida, Republicans Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Mario Diaz-Balart, asked the Treasury who approved the travel and for what purpose. U.S. law prohibits financial transactions for tourist activities in Cuba to prevent funding of the government, which controls the industry. The Treasury permits visits for educational reasons.

Since he first became a presidential candidate, President Obama must have spent millions of dollars in legal expenses to combat dozens of so-called "birther" challenges seeking the original documents pertaining to his birth. As president, he famously issued an electronic document on the White House website in 2011; the document purported to be his long-form birth certificate, though it is apparently a forgery. In addition, he has taken great pains to hide the paper trail of passport records, college transcripts, and other data -- all of which a prospective employer might require of a job applicant.

Is media bias to blame for lack of Gosnell coverage? Or something far more banal? The trial of Philadelphia doctor Kermit Gosnell would seem to have all the elements of a spectacular news story: shocking allegations, horrifying visuals, sympathetic victims. Yet until late last week, much of the national media was silent as testimony about Gosnell’s alleged “house of horrors” abortion clinic rolled out. Much of the media attention outside Philadelphia, in fact, centered on how little media attention the story was receiving outside Philadelphia.
