| Election officials missed a deadline Sunday to report results of a two-day recount in GOP Rep. Allen West´s race to remain in Congress, apparently sealing unofficial results giving the win to Democrat Patrick Murphy. St. Lucie County did not meet a noon cutoff to finish processing 37,379 ballots cast early in the District 18 congressional election. Under Florida law, previously submitted results favoring Murphy will be certified unless an emergency exemption is granted by the state. "They did this recount because they weren´t confident in the outcome," said West campaign manager Tim Edson. "Now, because they missed the deadline,

Will we ever get the results of the full recount (assuming they even bothered to finish)? Missing the deadline affects the recount more than anything. I cannot imagine that if West was eventually found to be the winner - even after the deadline- that he would not retain his seat.

The DNC is laughing at you. I´m sure even they can´t believe how easy it has been since they were caught red handed trying to stuff more paper ballots into machines to double Gore´s vote resulting in the recriminating ´hanging´ chads. Gee, must be those racist Republicans. How about we just go completely nuts in the districts we want to win? Just enough to get us what we want. What will anyone do about it? The answer is NOTHING for 12 years of voter crime.

West is in court trying to get the deadline extended. One precinct had 7 registered voters and recorded 900 votes. Something may be wrong here.

Something, LOTS of things are wrong here. God bless West for standing tall, facing it and fighting. Republicans should be throwing every resource possible behind him. Of course, we know that won´t be forthcoming from our House leadership. Please pray for wise judges to make the right decisions here.

If West had lost the recount does anyone think the deadline would have been allowed to pass? Seems to me someone should be watching the local taxis and precinct captains as they root around in their trunks and basements looking for boxes of newly found absentee ballots

I believe there was voter machine fraud in every state. It is no coincendence that Democrats won everywhere, especially in Ohio and VA, by larger numbers than they had voters in some districts. The machines or Software were definitely compromised. Nobody will ever convince me differently! Not only that, Main definitely has massive voter fraud. Nobody seems interested in pursuing it, so I´m wiping my hands of the whole darn political process. No more money to anyone...ever!

The MSM should not be writing off Col. West at this point and pushing Murphy. This is one reason why: (This was discovered in a portion of the recount) Just as background, one precinct has 7 voters registered and yet recorded about 900 votes. That’s a 13,000 percent turnout.

I feel the same way #9. I have given my last dollar to the Republican Party. This year, I sat and watched as my hard earned money was wasted, while I foolishly hoped that it would be used to expose the Liar-In-Chief´s murderous role in Benghazi and his malfeasance for four years. Instead, it was used to tell everyone that he was a "good guy." Bull!! He is a criminal.
And then the Democrats pull off a brazen in-your-face voter fraud that puts the worst president ever back in office, and the Republicans don´t have the courage to even speak about it.
I hope my Georgia Senators are replaced with when their terms are up. The longer a person is in office the less they serve us and the more they serve themselves.
It has taken me a long time, but I have finally realized that ALL of my donations have been wasted.

1. The Founders were right, very right, in establishing a limited voting privilege of relevant qualifications. There´s never been and is not now a "right to vote." 2. Our electoral process has been hijacked and perverted into an exercise in vast-scale fraud and corruption. [Note how the Dems went after the states´ Secretary of State offices.] The Republicans either shrink from competing or shrink from opposing it. 3. The "Oh, look! A squirrel!" Republican/"conservative" wrong-headed reaction of "we need Hispanics!" reveals a palette of errors. I won´t elaborate here, but see next point, please. 4. Republicans should be going [only slightly-mock] berserk over the criminal election fraud. [So should veterans´ organizations, frankly. Remember, our military swears allegiance to the Constitution.] Scores, if not hundreds, should be on the path to serious jail-time already. This is where the battle is. Not for elections. Not for this or that ethnicity [an offensive idea in itself, period!]. The scale of the battle to retrieve America and the Constitution is what this is about -- and more.
Well? Well?

A group supporting West was communicating last night. They said that at 2 0 a.m. the Sheriff had them close up the machines and leave. They did not want to, but "they" said that the alarms would come on and they had to stop for the night. (Stupid) The counters were mad and wanted to finish, but they were forced to leave. This morning they got started on the remaining 300 or so "found" ballots, and at a little after eleven a.m. they were through and checked and ready to upload. They then uploaded the machines/memory cards/whatever to the State. All was fine until the LAST machine would not upload. They could not get it to upload, and the time passed.
Apparently West´s lawyers tried to get some kind of extension, but the state doofuses said that they had to accept the last previous count which was clearly wrong.
If this story is wrong, it is what people were thinking at the time. I don´t know how it has all sorted out, but people need to call the Florida officials and DO SOMETHING. The governor can. CALL HIM.

Tell me this- We have over 300 million people in this country. Only roughly 120 million voted. Discounting for those under 18 WHERE THE HECK WERE THE REST OF THE VOTERS IN THIS CRITICAL ELECTION? How in the heck could they just not vote?
I´ll tell you what: they are going to get the government they deserve. Unfortunately 60 million of us Romney voters will not. And my America the Beloved no longer exists.
And one last thing: show me a country in the history of the world that created a better Constitution, Bill of Rights and Founding principles as this one. You can´t. So, we should deviate from the Founding Fathers and our Constitution, because why?
Those who think they are going to take from this country will rue the day they eliminated the goose that laid the golden egg...they have no idea what is coming down the pike...a substantially lower standard of living for starters, imho...

A few years after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, Lindalyn Adams was escorting visitors on a bus traveling down Elm Street near Dealey Plaza. “I was pointing out the John Neely Bryan cabin and the Old Red Courthouse, and suddenly I realized the whole bus was leaning towards the right as we were going close to the Texas School Book Depository, and the women [were] pointing and saying, “Is that? Is that? Is that?’” Adams recalled during an oral history interview. She knew, of course, what “that” meant. “That” was where Kennedy had been shot.

The night began like many at Boorda Hall, a five-story barracks at Naval Station Great Lakes, the Navy´s premier training base on the shore of Lake Michigan in Illinois. Somebody announced a party, and the hard drinking and beer pong began. A 21-year-old Marine lance corporal, so drunk on rum and Mountain Dew she was slurring her words, went to look for Kyle Antonacci, a Navy seaman she´d been dating off and on. Antonacci soon texted his friend Mike Pineda to help him deal with her. Both men had sex with her that night. But what distinguished May 8, 2009,

The Keystone XL Pipeline has emerged as a major issue in the Massachusetts special U.S. Senate election, with environmental groups committing nearly one-third of the $1.25 million in outside money already spent on campaigns. The biggest spender so far is the League of Conservation Voters, which has already spent more than $545,000 to help elect Democratic candidate and Rep. Ed Markey, who has a strong pro-environment platform. “Our field campaign is resonating with voters across Massachusetts,” said Navin Nayak, a political specialist for the group. “The people of Massachusetts want climate change champion Ed Markey representing them.”

At the corner of Columbia Pike and Walter Reed Dr. in Arlington, Va., sits a stainless steel bus stop with a million dollar price tag. Yes, that’s right. The futuristic-looking bus stop cost $1 million to build. The so-called “super stop” boasts a heated concrete floor and a digital display board that shows when the next bus will arrive, but it doesn’t do much to keep commuters warm or dry (except for their feet). The stop leaves the people waiting for transportation exposed to the elements.(Snip) Some $800,000 of the money came from federal and state tax dollars via grants,

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

The Obama White House is scrambling to blame Friday’s abysmal March jobs numbers on the sequester’s trimming of the rate of growth in federal budgets that have yet to fully commence. After the Labor Department announced that a mass exodus of 663,000 workers left the U.S. workforce last month and that job creation fell 112,000 jobs short of projections, Obama’s top economic adviser Alan B. Krueger, took to the White House blog to blame the sequester: It is important to bear in mind that the March household and payroll surveys are the first monthly surveys to look
