Susan Rice’s tarnished resume
Washington Post, by Dana Milbank

Original Article

Posted By:StormCnter, 11/18/2012 4:56:51 AM

President Obama had a rare “bring-it-on” moment when ABC News’s Jonathan Karl asked him about threats by Republican Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham to block the confirmation of Susan Rice, should he nominate her for secretary of state.(Snip)Obama’s over-the-top defense of Rice was surprising, particularly in contrast to the president’s relative indifference in accepting the resignation of CIA chief David Petraeus, one of the most capable public servants. And it was disappointing, because McCain, even if wrong on the particulars, is right about Rice.

And FTA:

Back when she was an assistant secretary of state during the Clinton administration, she appalled colleagues by flipping her middle finger at Richard Holbrooke during a meeting with senior staff at the State Department, according to witnesses.

Already self-besmirched.

This was nothing more than a brilliant head fake to get McCain all wee wee-ed up.

It´s been Kerry for Sec of State all along.

I disagree #2- I think Obama has certain promises he must try to keep-- his appointments at the SUPCO should have gotten scrutiny and eventually turned down.

I think he´s calculated that the press will lay down on this too-- and it seems even the lapdogs can howl about Rice!

If the stupendously rich John Kerry takes a cabinet position, then Republican Scott Brown is well positioned to win the special election to fill Kerry´s vacant MA Senate seat.
Time will tell who will be nominated for SecState and SecDef.

It´s clear what happened here when you consider the liberal mind. Rice was sent out specifically because she was clueless about Benghase. She could always fall back on her ignorance to account for the lies should the media not provide adequate protection.

Rice was to do her duty for the agenda and would be rewarded with Sec of State. This is the way Chicago works. The government is used for maintenance of power. Once attaining power you use the tax money and position to hold on to the power.

And any lie and illegality is ok if used to maintain power as the people will be better off under liberal government. It is simply immoral to allow the people to be under conservative rule.

I didn´t get through the 2000 comments but has someone raised the fact that it was via Susan Rice in the Clinton Administration that the word "Genocide" was removed from all U.S. government documents concerning the the mass-genocidal Rwanda killings? What was it 80,000 people?

Think she´s going to give a flip about Benghazi? Or that Hillary will?

Kathleen Sebelius is getting out of Dodge, and the timing of her resignation as Secretary of Health and Human Services makes l sense. Democrats plan to turn out thousands of African-American voters this fall, in an effort to hold the Senate majority. The challenge is that some of them aren’t yet registered to vote. Which begs the question, after opportunities to elect and re-elect the first black president, why would an African-American choose this year’s midterm elections to finally jump from the sidelines and into the game? Following the massacre of grammar-school children in Newtown, Conn., in December 2012, high-powered weapons have been used to kill innocent victims in more senseless public incidents. Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Many of those deaths involve handguns. The adoption of rules that will lessen the number of those incidents should be a matter of primary concern to both federal and state legislators.
