We’re heading for

Forget about that dead parrot of a question--should we join the eurozone? The eurozone has officially joined us in a newly emerging international organisation: we are all now members of the Permanent No-growth Club. And the United States has just re-elected a president who seems determined to sign up too.[Snip]Like us, the member nations of the European single currency have embarked on their very own double (or is it triple?) dip recession. This is the future: the long, meandering “zig-zag” recovery to which the politicians and heads of central banks allude is just a euphemism for the end of economic

After studying government carefully for the first time in my life I began to purge the word ´own´ from my vocabulary. It still pops up, thoughts are hard to alter.

That was about three years ago as I realized ownership was only what some judge and the police said it was. And judges work for the government.

Now I would day I have the use of some resources. At any time that can end.

The only things you own are your thoughts and relationships. And when science gives government the tools it will take those too.

The only way to get rid of world liberalism is to cut off their money supply. Not taking in enough revenue through taxes doesn´t stop them from being creative in getting thier hands on money through other means, like borrowing to the point of insanity. With world economies not producing much economic growth, due to the left´s war on capitalism the deficits keep getting larger.Any effort to reel in spending gets met with strikes and street riots.

If you look at what happened to Hostess, the same sort of mental disease infests the highly unionized Eurozone workforce. These people probably believe that Bernake will come up with a monster bailout if there´s enough pressure. If not bernake, then Germany. Wherever there´s a pot of money the left will target it until it´s bled dry.

Most people don´t have a clue on all the buried taxes in Obamacare that will only drive away more investment in this country. This is on top of the tax increases Obama is pushing. The left always spends their asses off and comes back with a tin cup later.

The fiscal cliff has been manufactured inside Wash DC with it´s goal of bleeding more money out of people. The truth is relatively small cuts in the rate of growth in government spending could stop the crisis.

the seante hasn´t passed a budget because they´re happy with current spending levels plus cost of living increases every year. Never mind that taxpayers don´t get those automatic spending increases/

The European Union is set to impose further sanctions on Russia following its decision to annex Crimea as German Chancellor Angela Merkel today declared the G8 ´is dead´. [Snip] In an address to the German Parliament in Berlin this morning, Merkel said the EU was readying further sanctions and that the G8 forum of leading economies has been suspended indefinitely. Russia holds the presidency of the G8 and President Vladimir Putin was due to host his counterparts, including President Barack Obama, at a summit in Sochi in June. A man in Las Vegas who signed up for a state-approved health insurance plan in November has now been told that he didn’t have coverage for the first two months of this year even though he was paying premiums for that time. Larry Basich’s ordeal that has landed him with $407,000 in hospital bills is the latest example of the problems facing Nevada residents due to the state’s problem-riddled exchange system. On Tuesday, a state panel approved a $1.5million consulting contract in an effort to have a private firm fix the state’s exchange.

Emerging markets face ordeal by fire

In a normal world the US Federal Reserve would barely cause a ripple by tweaking its interest rate forecast a year or two ahead. But we are not in normal world. We are facing a confluence of events somewhat like 1998 when Fed tightening turned the East Asian crisis into a global credit event. We all forget now that Alan Greenspan told emerging markets to drop dead at his Humphrey Hawkins testimony that year--saying he was more concerned about US inflation--and drop dead is exactly what they then did. (The Fed soon had to slash interest rates to avert a

It comes a day after Crimean leaders signed a treaty with Russia absorbing the peninsula into the Russian Federation. The words came out of my mouth before I could stop them. “I feel sorry for Obama,” I said. As my wife looked at me in disbelief, I quickly added a correction. “Well, almost.” Beset by failures at home and abroad, the president cuts a lonely and sad figure these days. His aura of grief reflects his profound loss. His worldview crashed headlong into reality, and reality won. Obamaism is dead, may it rest in peace. That’s sad for him, but hold the tears — his loss is mankind’s hope. If Obama wakes from his utopian visions and faces the
