Petraeus tells Congress

Former CIA Director David Petraeus has told Congress that the CIA believed almost immediately that al-Qaeda-linked terrorists were behind the September 11th attacks in Benghazi, according to a leading Republican congressman. Representative Peter King of New York, a member of the House Intelligence Committee that Petraeus briefed, said that the former general left a ´different impression´ today than he had when he testified on Capitol Hill three days after the attack. Now, King said, Petraeus insisted that the ´original talking points prepared by the CIA were different than the final ones put out´ and used by Susan Rice,

One of the photo captions in the article:
´´Circus: Petraeus´ affair with writer Paula Broadwell turned the days testimony into a media circus as writers and photographers scrambled catch the general´´

Our media presstitutes have become tabloid curs. WORSE.

As for the Petraeus testimony - which is WHAT´S IMPORTANT HERE - it´s simple: The facts on the ground, the Reality of this event, did not fit the pre-election rhetoric.

Don´t be distracted by the big article photos - be sure you get to the blue box on How Talking Points Get Made - And Watered Down.

The Administration - WHOEVER that turns out to be specifically - rewrote Reality to suit Obama´s re-election purposes. And the presstitutes continued their water-carrying.

Our election was manipulated, in more ways than one.

Altering a story is the same as telling a Big Lie to protect themselves from the consequences of having four brave Americans murders on their hands. These people pleaded for help; 0bama sent in an unarmed drone so he could watch the horrid event. Now he needs to alter the story so that he won´t be blamed for their murders. 0bama denied these four dead Americans any assistance, and they were murdered. He needs to take full responsibility.

Obama must immediately be impeached by the House for lying to the people. His presidency should not be allowed to escape without being stained by impeachment.

Hawaii health marketplace off

HONOLULU — When the federal government began parceling out billions of dollars for the new health insurance marketplaces under the Affordable Care Act, President Obama´s home state was in an enviable position. Hawaii already had one of the highest insured rates in the nation as the result of a 40-year-old state law requiring employers to provide coverage. The state received more than $205 million in federal money to build a health insurance exchange to serve those still uninsured. Yet four months after enrollments began, the Hawaii Health Connector has allocated $120 million while signing up only about 4,300 people for

LOS ANGELES— A Northern California couple out walking their dog on their property stumbled across a modern-day bonanza: $10 million in rare, mint-condition gold coins buried in the shadow of an old tree. Nearly all of the 1,427 coins, dating from 1847 to 1894, are in uncirculated, mint condition, said David Hall, co-founder of Professional Coin Grading Service of Santa Ana, which recently authenticated them. Although the face value of the gold pieces only adds up to about $27,000, some of them are so rare that coin experts say they could fetch nearly $1 million apiece. "I don´t like to

(Video) Hillary Clinton has been on the national stage a long time, since her husband once touted their two-for-one candidacy and she declared she was not a stay-home-and-bake-cookies kind of wife. I always assumed that her age would be a subliminal issue if she makes a second attempt to shatter the glass ceiling. But it’s now coming out of the closet, so to speak. Mike Huckabee, the Fox News host who is weighing a second White House run, used an interview with Bill O’Reilly to float the issue. He isn’t sure Clinton will run, Huckabee said: “She’s going to be

Is it MSNBC or The View? Hard to tell today as The View´s own Barbara Walters literally and figuratively kissed up to Vice President Joe Biden during his appearance on the show. Walters welcomed Biden by declaring there´s not "much doubt that you´re a superb Vice President." Biden, the gracious guest, brought gifts for the show´s hosts which led to this awkward exchange. Is one allowed to kiss a Vice President?" Biden enthused, "Oh, I´d love that." The audience whooped it up as the two shared an embrace. Walters then touched his cheek and insisted, "I don´t want you to

A trove of Clinton White House records long processed for release remains hidden from public view at the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock — even though the legal basis initially used to withhold them expired more than a year ago. The papers contain confidential advice given to or sought by President Bill Clinton, including communications with then-first lady Hillary Clinton, and records about people considered for appointments to federal office. About 33,000 pages of documents are involved, according to the National Archives, which runs the library. Under the Presidential Records Act, such records can be withheld for up to

WASHINGTON- U.S. President Obama Tuesday told an activist group pushing to advance his initiatives he wants them to help him get a $10.10 per hour minimum wage passed. Obama told those gathered at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington for the Organizing for Action summit that getting the Republican-controlled House of Representatives to pass the wage hike should be their primary focus. "No. 1, let´s make sure we´re giving America a raise," Obama said. "One thing that Americans across the board agree on is if you work full-time in the wealthiest nation on Earth, you shouldn´t be in poverty. "Three-quarters

Kennedy, the daughter of the late Robert F. Kennedy, had passed a series of sobriety tests he performed at the state police barracks in Somers, convincing him she was sober. “That’s why

It has the makings of a royal mess for “King Barack.” Monday morning’s Supreme Court argument about the Environmental Protection Agency’s authority to regulate greenhouse gases went badly for the Obama administration — so much so that the real question before the justices seemed to be how severe the EPA’s loss would be. The administration’s solicitor general, Donald Verrilli, pleaded with the justices to recognize the “urgent problem” of climate change, because the “threat to future generations gets worse” with each passing year. But as the argument played out, the court’s swing justice, Anthony Kennedy, made clear that he

Compared with how the Obama administration has swept under the rug the Benghazi attacks of September 11, 2012, Nixon’s attempt to cover up the Watergate burglary was rank amateurism. To be fair, Nixon’s team of Haldeman, Ehrlichman, Mitchell, and Dean were not in the same league as Obama’s, which includes not only his cabinet but most of the national media and much of Congress.
