| New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) said Friday that Mitt Romney’s comments that President Obama won the election by giving groups “gifts” were wrong. Romney said he agreed with Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R), who said the comments were "absolutely wrong," but avoided directly criticizing Romney. He also said it was time to pivot from the election and move on. “I always hate this kind of scapegoating after the election. When you lose, you lost. Someone asked me, ´Why did Mitt Romney lose?´ I said because he got less votes than Barack Obama. That´s why,”
|
Comments: And what exactly does that mean?? I´m so tired of the worthless decription "pivot."

Romney was exactly right and as the only republican to tell it like it is has gone up in my estimation. The U.S. has become a country of parasites who are afraid their government money might be cut off by the republicans. He was also exactly right when it came to 47% not being worth his time and trouble. I think he genuinely tried to reach out to them, but ran into the very brick wall he predicted.

Romney´s statement was factually correct. Christie´s statement is factually false. Didn´t fool me. 53% of Americans were not fooled by Christie´s words or Jindal´s words. RINOS they are, RINOS they will stay..but will WE stay Republicans?

This fatso meant to say "fewer votes" not "less votes." We hope to see less of him in the coming years. Mitt Romney is dead-on right about what he said. When you feed, clothe, house, telephone and give free stuff and promise ease of conditions without earning any of it, you ALWAYS get their vote. I am glad that I left the Republican party some time back. They are a mess with no direction.

In swing states, Obama used Romney´s "47%" comment in tv/radio ads with disabled vets, nursing home residents & hospitalized elderly. They were very devastating. Romney was never suggesting taking away our social safety net, so why make or support statements that can be used as a sledgehammer against you?

These self-proclaimed next generation GOP geldings couldn´t find the spine to run against Dear Leader, messiah and first black President. But now the election is over, and we´ve lost the country to 4 more years of socialism, largely thanks to that NJ whale traitor, and here come the GOP new generation losers storming out of the foxhole talking about Amnesty and more government goodies and looking to twist the political knife in the back of Romney. And we can reduce our deficit, stabilize our debt, and do so without sacrificing the kinds of investments that are going to be required to grow. During his remarks, the president spoke of the

One of the first political issues negotiators must tackle in crafting an immigration reform bill is among the most important: what to name it. It’s a decision that will bruise egos, create legacies and deeply affect subsequent messaging battles. “Every time the bill is mentioned in the press, you either have a brand that´s positive or a brand that doesn´t mean anything or even hurts you,” said Frank Sharry, the executive director of the pro-immigration reform group America’s Voice. The wrong name, he warned, could doom a good bill. “If there´s not a

President Obama is eager to build public support for his health care overhaul in the few months remaining before its implementation, but waning enthusiasm from Democrats threatens his effort right out of the gate. Two-thirds of Democrats now believe Obama´s health care reforms will either hurt them personally or have no effect on their daily lives, a Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday shows. In comparison, just 27 percent of Democratic respondents said the reforms would help them. The president has long struggled to convince independent and Republican-leaning voters that his health care blueprint would lower premiums and expand insurance coverage.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.

Newtown killer Adam Lanza may have launched his murder spree at Sandy Hook Elementary School as an “act of revenge,” the Daily News has learned. A close friend of Lanza’s mother told The News that the troubled boy was a target of relentless bullying when he attended the Connecticut school years ago. “I think Adam felt betrayed by the school and this was his act of revenge,” said Marvin LaFontaine, a friend of Nancy Lanza’s. “Nancy told me he was being picked on at school. That they were just torturing him.” Source and text corrected by Staff.
