McCain misses Libya briefing
while criticizing lack of info

CBS News, by Lindsey Boerma

Original Article

Posted By:LittleHoodedMonk, 11/15/2012 5:21:55 PM

While Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., was leading a press conference Wednesday to condemn the administration´s lack of transparency regarding the attacks in Benghazi, Libya, it turns out he could have been attending a classified briefing on the subject. Due to what his office called a "scheduling error," McCain accompanied Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H., at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday to demand before reporters a select committee of Congress to investigate the violence in Libya, rather than attend the scheduled 11 a.m. closed-door briefing for members

Comments:
The LSM now turns on their former darling of the GOP. Turning snarky, they try now to toss McCain under their Press Bus.

If it was a briefing by the Administration McCain probably knew he would get no new information - or more lies.

And how many intel briefings did Obama miss?

NO fan of McCain here, but I too would not attend another administration briefing......if ANY Uhhhhbama admin member told me it was blue sky, green grass I´d be forced to check.

Hopefully, even John is tired of getting urinated on and being told it is champagne.

If this was a Republican President covering up, the front pages would be dedicated to the Benghazi cover up. But, CBS´s priority is in backing the President, which means they will ignore the Benghazi tragedy and subsequent cover-up. This means the press is complicit with the cover-up. This complicity by the press is more serious than the email exchange between Petraeus and his groupies, or McCain missing a meeting.

In May 2012, the law school at George Mason University hosted a forum billed as a “vibrant discussion” about Internet search competition. Many of the major players in the field were there — regulators from the Federal Trade Commission, federal and state prosecutors, top congressional staffers. What the guests had not been told was that the day-long academic conference was in large part the work of Google, which maneuvered behind the scenes with GMU’s Law & Economics Center to put on the event. Many Americans have been watching with great consternation the ongoing struggle between the Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the U.S. Marshals against Cliven Bundy and his family. Following the massacre of grammar-school children in Newtown, Conn., in December 2012, high-powered weapons have been used to kill innocent victims in more senseless public incidents. Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Many of those deaths involve handguns. The adoption of rules that will lessen the number of those incidents should be a matter of primary concern to both federal and state legislators.
