The Democrat/National Socialists probably have dirt on most members of congress. They may have simply held something over Cantor´s head to keep his mouth shut until after the election. That´s what they did with Petraeus.

Just once wouldn´t it be great for someone to be presented with the blackmail and say.....go for it....I want to be a national hero to save our republic! Geez, short of murdering someone, which couldn´t have got you a security clearance in government, what could they possibly hold over your head to keep you from protecting our great nation??

And also made sure Dr. Price (who just happens to be my superior Representative from GA and a staunch Conservative) didn´t get a top spot but chose a female Moderate from the state of WA. Something really stinks about all this. Is there nobody that pin Cantor down and get a straight answer?

Cantor said he received the information from the shirtless FBI that was yanked from the case, and that FBI superiors did not confirm.

If he had acted on what he knew, he would have destroyed Petraeus unnecessarily, because the election was about handouts, ultimately.

It´s clear now that where Republicans are concerned, no truly "clean" guys make it to the top. Boehner, Cantor, and we can name many many more are all compromised in some way. I think this is why Romney was probably never going to win.

Why would a revelation that Petraeus was having an affair have affected the election? I cannot think of any reasons that people would be less likely to have voted for Obama because the head of the CIA had a zipper problem? Cantor did the correct thing, being angry with him makes no sense.

Sorry to say I can´t think of too many repubs that wouldn´t have caved.

Petraeus knows details about Benghazi. The dems had/have the goods on him and he probably thought if he kept quiet they would keep quiet about his affairs and protect him. He did not want to resign. Dems probably have more and could probably finish him off he speaks truthfully.

You have to remember that the Republicans in Congress are pretty wimpy, with a lot of them just pleased as punch to stay in the minority and to go along to get along with the liberal Democrats. That´s why the Tea Party was born, to upset that cozy applecart.

What in the world could they have on Petraeus that could hurt or humiliate him more than this Housewives of Benghazi crap? How can the man be hurt more?

Dittos #8 - Obama seemed very confident when he told the Russian guy " When I am re-elected I will have more flexibility". The DemocRAT fraud machine is so well oiled now I don´t think a Republican president will ever be elected again in our lifetimes. Politics is war to the DemocRATs and all´s fair in war. We are living in a sham Republic these days, where most elections are pre-determined or stolen years in advance. They just allow us to think we are voting when they already know the outcome. When the DOJ head runs around the country and tells everyone that voter ID is a racist Republican plot to disenfranchise minority voters, I don´t see any way to win against the national DemocRAT crime family. No one ever seems to be fined or go to jail for voter fraud. Even some of the "UN Observers" said they had never seen such a lack of security in our elections. We need to scrap ALL of the computer voting machines and go back to paper ballots for starters. At least with paper ballots we have a trail.
