Breitbart´s Big Peace, by John Nolte

Below is an excerpt from ABC News Senior White House correspondent Jake Tapper´s just-released, "The Outpost: An Untold Story of American Valor," one of those harrowing, inspiring war stories so fantastic, it can only be true. Early one morning in October of 2009, 53 American troops stationed at Outpost Keating -- a base plopped in the middle of the Afghan nowhere and situated at a strategic disadvantage not to be believed -- are attacked by 400 Taliban fighters. Thanks to extraordinary heroism, 45 manage to survive, but eight

Comments:
Fox should fire the dipwad Geraldo and hire Jake Tapper. He will probably be shunned at ABC for showing the military in a positive way.

I saw the Hannity interview of Tapper last night and I wouldn´t call Tapper a "stalwart conservative." More like a reporter who hasn´t drank the entire cup of kool-aid.

Sorry to see on Hannity last night that Tapper had missed yesterday´s Obama ´´presser´´. He can be counted on to not pull punches unlike most of the corrupt boot lickers in attendance. e.g. The Chicago idiot reporter who gushed, ´´I´ve never seen you lose!´´

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) said we’re living in an “ugly moment in American history” because of income inequality in the country. “We’re living in very, very strange and disconcerting times. We have more people living in poverty today than in any time in the history of the United States of America. We have the highest rate of childhood poverty,” Sanders said last night on MSNBC. “Meanwhile, the rich are doing phenomenally well and corporations are enjoying record-breaking profits. And it is astounding to me from a moral perspective that folks in the Republican party stay up nights figuring out how they can

Planned Parenthood on Thursday will give House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) its Margaret Sanger Award, named for a woman who advocated eugenics and who wrote that large families would be doing what was "most merciful" if they killed one of their infants. “The most merciful thing that the large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it,” wrote Sanger. Planned Parenthood is giving Pelosi, a Catholic, its Margaret Sanger Award because of her “leadership, excellence, and outstanding contributions to the reproductive health and rights movement over the course of her career.” According to its website,

Heading off a lawsuit over compliance with a federal voting rights law, California officials have agreed to help millions of state residents register to vote. Under a deal announced Monday by several voting-rights groups, the state will send voter registration cards to nearly 3.8 million Californians who have applied for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act. The move will ensure that many residents can complete or update their registration in time for the June 3 primary election, representatives of the groups said, and bring the state into compliance with the National Voter Registration Act of 1993. Ever heard of the U.S. Supreme Court´s Plessy v Ferguson ruling in 1896? That´s the one where the guys in the black robes upheld "separate but equal" *accommodations on public facilities like trains. Or how about the Dred Scott case in 1857? Most Americans have probably heard of that one because it said slaves had no standing to sue in federal court because they weren´t citizens. There have been other terrible Supreme Court rulings, but those two stand out on everybody´s lists. Union organizers are showing up at Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections of an open-shop business that has been targeted by the country’s second-largest union. Professional Janitorial Service (PJS), the largest non-union janitorial company in Houston, and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) haven’t gotten along for seven years. The company is currently suing SEIU for $9 million, alleging that the union has repeatedly slandered it. But on three recent occasions, SEIU representatives accompanied federal safety inspectors to examine PJS cleaning sites, says Evelyn Meza, the human-resources manager for PJS. The inspections resulted in fines. Such an organized-labor presence on OSHA

Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld has said that ´a trained ape´ could do a better job managing American interests in Afghanistan than President Obama. The retired Republican made the insult while doing a phone-in interview for Greta Van Susteren´s Fox News show on Tuesday. He argued that the President made a serious error by failing to negotiate a status forces agreement with Afghan President Hamid Karzai. Gawker points out that such an agreement would effectively commit the United States to having a certain number of troops in the country for a number of years beyond the already-agreed-upon plan which

A pair of potentially catastrophic cases will be argued before the Supreme Court on Tuesday. These cases are brought by privately held, for-profit corporations that are arguing their religious convictions should preclude them from offering employees the health insurance required by law. Specifically, these private employers don’t want to allow their employees’ insurance to cover some forms of birth control because, contrary to medicaland scientific evidence, they believe some birth control causes abortions. Corporations are not people. Corporations cannot have religious views. If religious rights are extended to corporations, it puts us on a slippery slope where any private company
