Never underestimate the power of a pair of adorable kids asking for a kitty on Facebook. Dan Urbano told his two children that if they could get 1,000 Facebook Likes on their plea for a cat--he would give in and get a four-legged fury friend for the family in Newton, Massachusetts. But he had no idea their adorable post would go viral, amassing nearly 120,000 likes and over 100,000 shares from across the globe on the social networking website. Marisa Papile Urbano helped her two children, 7-year-old Remi and his cute toddler sister, Evelyn, write their wish on

The mistrust between Israel and the Palestinians is higher than ever, US Secretary of State John Kerry said on Wednesday at a hearing into the 2015 State Department budget request. Kerry was however optimistic about coming to "some kind of understanding of the road forward" for reaching a framework agreement between the two sides. [Snip] "You have to see those gaps in the context of the negotiations," he said. "I do believe both parties are serious and want to find a way forward."Kerry said that despite this, neither side believes the other is serious and that the level of mistrust

There´s been a lot of debate about why Piers Morgan lost his CNN talk show. A couple of days ago the comedian Chelsea Handler gave him a definitive explanation. Piers was "interviewing" her, they cut to an ad break, and when they returned they had this priceless exchange. Sebelius admits Obamacare will raise health

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius told House Ways and Means Committee members on Wednesday that she expects health insurance rates to increase as the Affordable Care Act takes full effect. ´I think premiums are likely to go up,´ she conceded under questioning, ´but go up at a slower pace´ than they have already under Obamacare. President Obama famously promised in 2008 and 2009 that his health insurance overhaul plan would lower the cost of health care for an average family by $2,500 per year. The Democratic Party is licking its wounds after losing a special election in Florida that turned into a referendum on Barack Obama, suggesting that the president has become an albatross around the necks of congressional candidates--and spelling election doom for November. Election prognosticator Stuart Rothenberg wrote in January that the 13th Congressional District race was one that Democrats ´can´t afford to lose.´ Alex Sink, the losing Democrat, also lost a statewide race for governor in 2016 by a razor-thin margin, but carried the 13th district by 2 percentage points. Obama, too, prevailed there in both of his elections.

David Cameron tonight condemned a "barbaric" missile attack on Israel that struck on the first day of his visit to the country. Militants fired as many as 50 missiles from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel, in the biggest single attack in two years. Israeli tanks responded by firing shells at a suspected launch site within Palestinian territory. The attack came on the day Mr Cameron told the Israeli Parliament he would offer "rock solid" support to Israel in defending itself and condemned "despicable" efforts by Iran to ship missiles to terrorist groups. British Prime Minister David Cameron today made his first visit to Israel as prime minister, delivering an address to the Israeli parliament, the Knesset. Speaking to a fractured crowd following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu´s pushing through of three contentious bills, Cameron said that he "felt a connection with Israel" and said that Britain was integral in "securing a homeland for the Jewish people". Members of the Knesset shouted and heckled Netanyahu as he delivered a speech ahead of Cameron, who initially looked amused at the circumstances as one member was escorted from the chamber. How would you feel if a police officer you knew for 20 years told you that if an order were issued to confiscate your guns, he wouldn’t hesitate to “kick your door in”? This was the precisely the experience Connecticut resident, Navy veteran and former firefighter John Cinque had after commenting on his state’s 2013 violation of the Second Amendment. The law in question criminalizes the sale of magazines holding more than 10 rounds and also certain semi-automatic rifles, and mandates that all grandfathered weapons and magazines must be registered with the state. Oversight member Rep.
