| "Let it crash!" "Give them what they want and they´ll see what happens!" "Surely, once the left´s programs are implemented and the economy crashes, people will come to their senses." Since the election, many on the right have echoed this meme. They are convinced that widespread poverty and lack of opportunity will bring a resurgence of the America many of them knew growing up. Grandma and Grandpa´s America. Perhaps these people forget that Roosevelt was re-elected three times during a depression that he helped prolong

No need to let it crash. Like the Titanic, the crash has already occurred, and though the band is still playing and people are still dancing, the ship is indeed going down. The only question is who´s going to survive.

I agree, let it happen. the country can´t keep going on lines of credit to fund foolish programs and ideas.
Look at how this socialite and husband lived well beyond their means and are millions in the hole. This can be extrapolated to the country´s debt.Student loans,FHA loans and pensions are well over a trillion in debt each. How long with tax increases keep all the going.

It is not "fair" to the American taxpayer to have to pay the President and the Senate when they have failed to pass a budget that is required by law.
Matter of fact, I would like to see a lawsuit claiming that the govt. can not collect taxes without a budget.

A crash is the only thing that will clarify everyone´s mind at the same time.
Let it come sooner rather than later, let´s get this over with so this country can right itself.
Selling apples on the corner will get everybody pulling in the same direction quicker than the back and forth political snipefest we have now.

This is how dictators take hold. This is exactly what Dumbo wants, A CRASH.. Riots, emergency tax increases, martial law. This is chapter 3 of Alinsky. In 3 weeks all your life savings will be gone. Think the absolute worst for the country , multiply by 3 and that is what Pelosi, Reid and Dumbo want. Be careful what you ask for!

Why do you think China and Russia have kept their tyrannies for so long? A bankrupt nation is easier to manage for a dictatorship. America succeeded in the Revolution, in part because we were a rich nation with a lot of raw wealth. What is so dangerous about Obama, is that if he succeeds in destroying this wealth, an armed and angry citizenry alone will not overthrow him. He has squirreled away billions for his war chests leaving us holding the bag. The Feds have millions of rounds of ammo themselves, and our most loyal troops are overseas fighting in useless military operations wasting their strength and isolated from events in their homeland.
We can NOT wait for a financial crash to wake up a lax citizenry. Likely, any financial pain will be reported as Republican obstructionism, as it has in the past and that crowd of kool-aid drinkers will readily lap it up. What ever we do must be done, here and now with an eye for changing Education and how someone qualifies as a voter.

I agree with the author. The populace feels entitled. Today´s entitled youth don´t want to work. They feel that the rich have an obligation to support the middle-class and the poor. If the country crashes, it will only fuel their argument for the government to save them from the evil rich right. But what they don´t realize is that the rich are the ones who make their miserable existence through their tax revenue. I read an article about the amount of revenue that the top 5% create and it was staggering. So what if the top 1% decide that they´re not going grow their companies to avoid paying higher taxes?

1. Education is number one. We must promote America and Civics from day one. We stopped this long implemented education because the Left complained it was ´indoctrination´. They then promptly stepped in and indoctrinated generations in their philosophy - which is the principle reason we are, where we are. Morality, responsibility, and success through hard work must be restored as gold standards of a renewed America.
2. I think no one who is accepting more from the government than they put in should be allowed to vote, unless they are in a high risk job - such as active military. You should only have a vote if you have skin in the game. If you fall into economic hardship, it would be a good reason to lift yourself up again, in order to have a say in your government.
3. We should have a requirement for a balanced budget, with taxes limited to a set percentage of the GDP. Government must stay within their means, and we would vote in part in how well they serve us. A greedy bunch that hordes the taxes for their private use wouldn´t last long.
4. We must define and refine what a Natural born citizen is. Regardless of what you think of the birther business, we need to get a handle on the ´Path to Citizenship´. Government Assistance should only be for U.S. citizens. Non-citizens should be legally permitted to seek help from private institutions, and work here, if they want, but only citizens should benefit from government aid in times of trouble. Only citizens should be permitted to vote or serve in government.

But yet it is coming anyway.

The crash will not convince the other half of the country that their choice was wrong. The Republicans could vote present for the next two years, let Pelosi, Reid and the won have it all and still get the blame because the MSM will make sure of it. They will rouse them up to the point of violence then all bets are off.

The left rely on scare tactics to promote their agenda. They must have an evil villain for the government to slay. It´s just like breast cancer. Don´t misunderstand me. I think cancer is terrible for anyone to have to endure. I have lost many friends and family members to its effects. But you don´t see the same kind of support from the left for heart disease because heart disease is curable even though heart disease kills 10 times the number of people each year than breast cancer. We´re the disease.

It´s not the country that needs to crash, it´s the federal government that does. I know many will think it´s the same thing and that´s the big problem, maybe the biggest problem. Each state is like it´s own smaller country bound together by the federal gov´t. The states are comprised of smaller local districts. Many of these are doing just fine. If the feds were off their backs the country could recover quickly and reclaim it´s purpose. I think this is what Zipp0 stands in the way of happening.

The GOP certainly has proven they don´t have a plan. So, if you´re expecting either the Democrats OR the Republicans to do something other than maintain THEIR favored status and taxpayer paid perks - you´re fooling yourself.
No more GOP for me - I´m changing my voter registration to Independent and don´t plan on voting straight Republican again. I´m joing the majority. I want my "free stuff" - and a mint julep...

Several points:
The crash was baked into the cake when the Bush tax rates were extended only to the end of this year. Same with Obama´s assorted tax credits and Payroll Tax Holiday. Same with the Sequester. This is what a Democrat President and Congress passed. Obama campaigned on the Clinton tax rates and that is what is currently on the books.
If the tax rates go up on everyone to Clinton levels, then a lot more people will be taxed than are now currently taxed. Only those who pay taxes worry about size of government.
Sequestration will be cooked into the baseline. No more 8% increases in spending declared to be cuts.
Let the Dems propose compromise. If they are as silly as Obama and Reid´s, laugh. And remind them they passed the current plan. Then let the time run out.
The GOP can´t win. The Dems can certainly lose. Let The People experience a Worker Paradise.

In one of his more well-publicized gaffes, Vice President Biden said of John McCain: "Look, John´s last-minute economic plan does nothing to tackle the number-one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S, jobs." Actually, of course, it´s a four-letter word, and it was his job and the president´s to create a climate for job expansion, and they failed. The evidence is now overwhelming: they have created the worst employment climate in decades.

When your article inspires a big-city mayor to refer your case to a "human-relations commission," you know you´ve hit a nerve. And when that article is the recent "Being White in Philly" piece by liberal Robert Huber, you know it doesn´t take much truth to hit that nerve. That´s the scary part. Huber´s article contains mostly tepid examples of whites´ negative experiences with blacks and primarily black neighborhoods, such as a Philadelphia resident whose grill was stolen from her backyard but "blames herself" for not fencing it in. Its tone is basically apologetic, absolving a drug dealer of responsibility

That´s something to remember when you arrive there next week. Israel has a government, elected by its people in a free, fair, open and democratic election. Multiple parties representing widely divergent points of view met a wildly diverse electorate through free media and open debate. This is no stultified two-party affair with a libertarian insurgency. Israel will be the only country you visit in the region, this time or any other, that has a fully democratic system. Do not be swayed by the "apartheid" slander. Citizens of Israel are Jews, Moslems, Christians, and Druze, each with religious and non-religious elements.

Prodded by a president with a weakness for racial agitation and enabled by a politically complicit media, the State of Florida persists in a prosecution that can come to no good end. The defendant is neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman. The charge is the second-degree murder. The potential outcomes range from major injustice, if Zimmerman is convicted, to mayhem in the streets, if he´s acquitted. And the state plods on as though the angels were on its side. They are not. The witnesses to the February 2012 shooting of 17 year-old Trayvon Martin are proving even more troublesome

The political world changed its orbit Wednesday as Rand Paul seized the spotlight in his March 6 filibuster. Rand Paul -- not this author´s favorite before -- is probably now the 2016 front-runner for president. But the difference results from fundamental changes in substance. How can one day be that big of a deal? Because Rand Paul demonstrated a reproducible, winning formula. It was as if Ronald Reagan were granted just one day to come back to Earth to remind the Party of Lincoln of "how it´s done." Rand demonstrated a repeatable formula that all Republicans can copy.

Sixty-three months ago Barack Obama officially declared his candidacy for President. Only now are some among the so-called media and ruling elites in America slowly awakening from their self-induced infatuation and beginning to understand who he is. It has become difficult to ignore the overt intimidation, demagoguery and deliberate falsehoods spewed forth by Obama relative to sequestration -- a miniscule cut in the growth of federal spending. However, any cursory examination of his past reveals that these tactics are second nature to the man who currently occupies the Oval Office.

Years ago, when I used to play poker with some guys, I played a hand in which across the table from me was someone who looked as though he had a straight flush. He kept pumping up the bidding and everyone folded but me. When we finally showed our hands he had nothing. "You don´t know what you´re doing," he yelled. "Any good player would have folded! Why did you stay in?" he shouted angrily. "Because you curled your lip and reacted furiously when I stayed in. Someone with a winning hand would never do that."

By law, on Friday the executive must begin to cut $85 billion from federal spending. Though, as is his wont, the president is blaming the Republicans for what he claims is a draconian measure. No less a Washington chronicler of events than Bob Woodward of the Washington Post considers that a gross distortion of the truth [T]he automatic spending cuts were initiated by the White House and were the brainchild of [Treasury Secretary nominee Jack] Lew and White House congressional relations chief Rob Nabors -- probably the foremost experts on budget issues in the senior ranks of the federal government.

Too little serious conservative analysis of the 2012 presidential campaign has yet appeared. This is understandable. The results of the election were disheartening to the point of shock. The campaign defied all historical precedent, all commonsense interpretation. The Romney ticket should not have lost and did not deserve to lose. The Democrats, fielding the least worthy ticket in the past century -- and that´s saying something -- did not deserve to win. The reasons they did are myriad and complex. But before we get too far down the road, there is one lesson that has to be grasped:

No, I´m not talking about Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael (God rest Michael´s tortured soul). I´m talking about the Chicago Jacksons, Jesse Sr. and Jesse Jr. The Jackson 5 in their heyday gave plenty: music, entertainment, and joy to their fans. The Chicago Jacksons are another story. Jesse Sr. (The Right Reverend) and his son (the erstwhile congressman) have done a lot more taking than giving. "Taking" may be too charitable a word. Shaking down and wheedling may be better descriptors for the Chicago Jacksons´ acts.

By now you likely have heard that Chris Rock considers Barack Obama America´s father. If that is true, then would somebody call Child Protective Services and find us foster parents! For Chris Rock, America´s true Founding Fathers were disappointingly white. I suspect that whatever the color of America´s Founding Fathers might have been, they would not have approved of having a failure like Obama among their esteemed membership. Thought the Founding Fathers had many flaws, they were smart enough to eliminate the self-indulgent institution of slavery from America´s future.

HARTFORD, Conn. -- With time running out on the chance to pass gun control legislation, President Barack Obama on Monday warned Congress not to use delaying tactics against tighter regulations and told families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims that he´s "determined as ever" to honor their children with tougher laws. Obama´s gun control proposals have run into resistance on Capitol Hill, leaving their fate in doubt. Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.

More than six months since Ambassador Christopher Stevens was assassinated by terrorists in Benghazi, the Obama administration is still trying to keep a lid on information about the attack. Congress and the American people need to know what happened the night of Sept. 11, 2012. Who did the killing and what was their motive? Why wasn´t help sent? And why did the administration lie about who was responsible? Members of Congress have asked hundreds of questions at hearings conducted by several investigative committees, but many of the most significant have been left unanswered. Information detailing what happened before, during and Headline corrected.
