| The Obama administration’s target of $1.6 trillion in taxes isn’t anything new. It’s an update of the $1.5 trillion in taxes they’ve been proposing since 2011. A year has passed, which means the same policies — letting the Bush tax cuts expire for income over $250,000 and then limiting some deductions and loopholes for wealthier taxpayers (Snip) Here’s what is new: The White House is saying, clearly, that they won’t permit the top tax rates to remains where they are. They’re taking House Speaker John A. Boehner’s proposed deal and rejecting it.

Vote on it, pass is an dput th eball in their court. The problem here is that people have failed to illustrate the tax rates. The more more income you make, the higher you generally pay. People blindly spout out "fair share". How cna one be paying their fair share when income A of $80,000 is taxed at a higher rate than income B of $35,000?

This is just what to expect from Obama and the class warfare brigade he assembled yesterday. None of them could explain the difference between marginal tax rates and effective tax rates. Increases in marginal rates never bring in the amount of revenue expected. Unfortunately it leads to an increase in lobbying the tax code to find new ways to shelter income.

I have a contrary personality. Let the whole house of cards collapse by passing a budget for the military only, and ignoring the rest of the government. Spending legislation is supposed to come from the House so the House can support defense and cripple everything else by doing what obama did in his earlier political career. Vote present and do nothing as much as possible. Put the government into bankruptcy now, not four years from now when things will be even worse.

Pass a bill that states that tax rates will stay as they are. A short bill, with no legalese. One that even the common man can understand. Short enough that you can read the whole thing in thirty seconds. Then when asked about various tax issues say, "We passed this bill, ´quote bill.´ the Democrats won´t pass it."

The right thing to do is let ALL the Bush tax cuts expire. We do need revenue. We are literally drowning in debt. Everyone needs to be a part of the solution. There simply aren´t enough rich people to solve this.
It´s time for the GOP to lead on the issue of fiscal responsiblity.

The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has permanently revoked the federal firearms license of East Windsor, Conn., gun store owner David LaGuercia, whose shop reportedly sold guns used in the Newtown school massacre and a second Connecticut mass shooting. An autopsy on Shain Gandee, a cast member of the MTV reality show Buckwild, showed he died of carbon monoxide poisoning, the Kanawha County sheriff’s department said yesterday.
