| President Obama is holding on to Eric Holder as the nation’s top law-enforcement official, The Post has learned. The newly re-elected president asked his controversial attorney general to stay for the second term, and Holder has agreed despite enduring a firestorm of criticism from Republican lawmakers. “I don’t know if everyone in the White House wants him [Holder] to stay, but the important guy does, and that’s all that matters,” said one person briefed on the matter. Holder’s office declined to comment. His hardest-fought battle came over the botched sting operation called Fast and Furious,

The problem with what used to be the United States is that the government is the law and now its leaders are lawless. Obama and Holder care nothing about laws unless they can be used to benefit themselves and their liberal supporters. They uphold the laws they like and openly ignore and/or oppose the ones they don’t like. Therefore the average citizen now lives in a nation of unwritten laws, defined and changed at will by the liberals. Therefore the average citizen in reality has no law on his or her side.

And we have to endure this for another 1530 days

I know that Scooter Libby was not an Attorney General under Bush. However, other than having an unfortunate nickname, can anyone tell me what Scooter Libby did that deserved jail time.
Holder? No accountability. It seems no one cares to pull back the sheet to look at the rotting corpse of this administration.

Barack and Holder have the goods on each other. Like other communist tyrants, they dare not get off the tiger of authoritarianism because it will just eat them alive. They both are guilty of crimes involving the murders of innocent people through their blind devotion to the marxist religion.

The stink from the cesspool that defines this regime grows on an almost daily basis.
I hope the idiots who endorsed this collosal failure of the past 4 years are the most effected by the additional 4 years of calamity that they´ve caused. Many of course are so dense that they´ll not notice as long "de free stuff" continues to flow in their direction.

Holder is a fool. He will definitely get thrown under the bus if he stays. There is too much brewing for him to stay clean this time around.
I think the real reason Obama begged him to stay, though, was because most decent people know a bad thing when they see it, and why would anyone give up a lucrative law practice to wallow in that swamp? It would humiliate Obama to be turned down.

The moochers and takers will not notice anything is amiss until they go to the convenience store to buy RC Cola and Moonpies and their EBT cards no longer work when they swipe them. Then, these drug-addicted losers will get violent and start taking from whatever source they can in order to crap indoors, eat, and take care of their base biological needs. When they head out to your nice suburban neighborhood to "get theirs", that is when things are going to get real interesting...

Senator Paula Broadwell? It might have been. TIME Magazine reports that David Petraeus’ mistress considered running for as a Republican candidate for senate in North Carolina — but the then-CIA director was against the idea. In July, Broadwell was in Aspen, Colo., for the Aspen Security Forum, TIME said on Thursday, and told a handful of people that GOP financiers had approached her about a possible campaign. She told the acquaintances that when she informed Petraeus, he questioned her positions on issues ranging from abortion to gun control to taxes.

Former CIA Director David Petraeus stoked the controversy over the Obama administration´s handling of the Libya terror attack, testifying Friday that references to "Al Qaeda involvement" were stripped from his agency´s original talking points -- while other intelligence officials were unable to say who changed the memo, according to a top lawmaker who was briefed. Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., told Fox News that intelligence officials who testified in a closed-door hearing a day earlier, including Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and Acting CIA Director Mike Morell, said they did not know who changed the talking points.

Washington - Anonymous harassing emails that Tampa socialite Jill Kelley turned over to the FBI contained information about the movements of CIA Director David Petraeus which was not publicly available, a law enforcement source told Reuters. The fact that the emails´ author - later determined to be Petraeus´ mistress Paula Broadwell - knew confidential information about the CIA chief´s activities was one of the main reasons the FBI felt compelled to launch an in-depth investigation into their origin and motivation, the source said. The emails, which a second law enforcement source said included

Tampa - The South Tampa woman connected to the Gen. David Petraeus scandal has called police to her home several times in the last few days, and at least once tried to invoke "diplomatic protection." Media from around the world have convened on the two-story Bayshore Boulevard home of Scott and Jill Kelley. Jill is the socialite mother of three whose FBI complaint about harassing emails eventually led investigators to uncover the CIA director´s affair with his biographer and is now linked to the name of a second top general. The Kelleys have kept a low profile since news of the scandal broke,

The murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell largely is being ignored by the mainstream media, even in the face of grisly testimony, such as what we heard yesterday. Abortion clinic employee Sherry West described an incident which "really freaked (her) out" and related to the jury how she heard a child who was born alive following an abortion scream.

HARTFORD, Conn. -- With time running out on the chance to pass gun control legislation, President Barack Obama on Monday warned Congress not to use delaying tactics against tighter regulations and told families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims that he´s "determined as ever" to honor their children with tougher laws. Obama´s gun control proposals have run into resistance on Capitol Hill, leaving their fate in doubt. Efforts by Senate Democrats to reach compromise with Republicans over expanding required federal background checks have yet to yield an agreement, and conservatives were promising to try

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.

The case of a same-sex Connecticut couple accused of repeatedly raping and abusing two of their nine adopted boys is headed for trial. Married couple George Harasz and Douglas Wirth of Glastonbury were supposed to be sentenced Friday in Hartford Superior Court under a plea deal, but instead withdrew from their agreement with prosecutors. The men had already pleaded no contest in January to one felony count each of risk of injury to a minor — a reduction from even more serious charges related to sexual assault....
