Salafist leader wants
Pyramids destroyed

CAIRO- A Salafist leader called on authorities to destroy the Pyramids and Sphinx in Giza, one of Egypt´s famous tourist sites, saying the "idols" must be removed. "All Muslims are charged with applying the teaching of Islam to remove such idols as we did in Afghanistan when we destroyed the Buddha statue," the Egypt Independent quoted Murgan Salem-al Gohary as saying in an interview on Egyptian Dream TV during the weekend. Gohary, described as a Jihadist leader who advocates violence and has links to the Taliban, was sentenced twice under former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and fled to Afghanistan

He´s right - they should destroy them. Why not kill off the revenue stream that drives the economy.

Sure. Just do it. That will guarantee zero tourism. The drawback to that will be that Obama will give them even more of our money to keep them afloat.

Since we have photographs of the pyramids, and robotic movies of their interiors let them be destroyed so more of the world understands what a gutter religion Islam really is and so Egypt´s economy tanks. Nobody cared much about the Buddhas because so few people ever saw them in photos let alone in person, so there was no big stink. The pyramids and sphinx are a vastly different matter.

So....when are we going to stop importing these people and their religion(?)? How many decades until they call for the destruction of false idols in this country? Continued importation combined with high birth rates will make it sooner than you think. Not likely in most of our lifetimes, but our grandchildren´s?

The Pyramids and the Sphinx were standing when Allah became God and Mohammad his troop or whatever the deal is. What´s all the fuss? They were alright for them in those days...what´s wrong with them today??
I think they get off just destroying things. Sounds like a big bunch of sickos.

Funny how this aversion to all things not created by Islam never seems to apply to gunpowder, explosives and nukes.

I think that if enough of them strapped about 5 sticks of dynamite to themselves and stood in a big circle around the pyramid, and all blew themselves to itty bitty pieces at once, it might work. Well, it would accomplish some good, anyway. And Egypt wouldn´t have to use a light show to turn the pyramids red!

WASHINGTON— President Barack Obama supports requiring girls younger than 17 to see a doctor before buying the morning-after pill. But fighting that battle in court comes with its own set of risks. A federal judge in New York on Friday ordered the Food and Drug Administration to lift age restrictions on the sale of emergency contraception, ending the requirement that buyers show proof they’re 17 or older if they want to buy it without a prescription. The ruling accused the Obama administration in no uncertain terms of letting the president’s pending re-election cloud its judgment when it

Projecting madly, the White House on Sunday pushed the notion that Republican intransigence is the reason that Democrats have been unable to pass a budget during President Obama’s tenure. “Right now,” said senior White House advisor Dan Pfeiffer on Fox News Sunday, “the approach of many Republicans, particularly the leadership in the House, is my way or the highway.” This is certainly rich coming from an administration that has failed to garner a single “yes” vote on its budget proposals for the past several years, even from members of its own party. A few years after the assassination of President John F. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

The budget President Barack Obama will submit on April 10 will contain a proposal that would prohibit individuals from accumulating more than $3 million in Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and tax-preferred retirement accounts. According to a White House statement, the Obama administration believes the current rules allow some wealthy individuals "to accumulate many millions of dollars in these accounts, substantially more than is needed to fund reasonable levels of retirement saving."
