Your Guide To Understanding
the Media for the Next Four Years

Breitbart Big Journalism, by John Nolte

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 11/13/2012 12:23:07 PM

Last week, as the Petraeus sex scandal broke, The Mighty Charles Krauthammer said something that got a lot of play in New Media. He seemed certain that "sex" and the fact that Barack Obama was safely reelected would be the tipping point that drove the media to cover what´s become known as "BenghaziGate." Normally, if I disagree with Krauthammer I just assume I´m the one who´s wrong. But I knew that wouldn´t be the case here. And it hasn´t been. The media did exactly what I predicted it would. The sex scandal has been compartmentalized by the media

oddly enough, Rush is saying much the same thing right now. The whole story is now wrapped up in a sex scandal and the attack on the Ambassador/consulate and the death of 4 Americans is ancillary...

Sex sells. People kept telling us to make our campaign sexy. Look at the Dunham woman and her video for Obama. Look at all the Hollywood babes supporting Obama. Look at the freebies that supposedly won the young vote: birth control and abortion. Don´t need those unless you´re, that´s right, having sex. It isn´t the dumbing down of America anymore, it´s the sexing up of America.

All true so far as the intent and goals of the partisan media are concerned. They are no longer journalists but partisans - true believers. They do not wish to understand or report the world, they are determined to change it. They believe they know what is wrong and what needs to be done to correct it. This is all old news by now. No one of sense or substance trusts the mainstream media any more, though they are still capable of controlling with views and votes of the less attentive members of American society - of whom, we have found to our sorrow, there are many.

But I am not discouraged. The media is the media and will of course do what the media has done all along: promote, protect, champion, and in every possible way aid Barack Obama and the Democrats, while devoting all of their investigative and critical resources to attacking and undermining Republicans and conservatives.

I am not discouraged, because I think it is too big a job to be successful much longer. ALmost everything Obama &Co. think they know about economics and international relations is wrong, hence everything they do will make matters worse, in some instances spectacularly so. The media will simply no longer be able to ignore, spin, deny, distract and confuse the public the way it has up till now.

Time will tell. My sense is that the unraveling will shortly begin, if it has not already begun. Obama will make such a mess of international relations that war is a virtual certainty. The economy cannot possibly recover and will continue to get worse as long as he is in office. A little patience and the reign of witches will soon pass over.

Reply 7 - Posted by: Wetlandz, 11/13/2012 1:12:19 PM     (No. 9011613)

Finding ways to cut off the lifeblood to the corrupt media and that is depriving them of revenue. Unfortunately with half the country behind them is like taking a whiz in the wind. Developing and supporting the new media is one hope.

I think you are right, #6. At least I hope so. Sooner or later something is going to happen with this administration that is so rotten and so incompetent and so scandalous that the media will not be able to help. They will try but the coming disaster will overwhelm any efforts to protect Obama.

The Ministry of Truth would blush.

The MSM will continue until someone does what should have been done years ago (and for which there are now many mountain ranges of irrefutable evidence): sue them for malpractice. Complaints on blogs about media bias is now proven to have no effect whatsoever. Sue the slanderous malicious criminally negligent cover-up con artists.

Reply 10 - Posted by: andyboy, 11/13/2012 1:35:32 PM     (No. 9011675)

Obama´s questionable victory will lull the MSM into a false sense of security. Don´t forget --

1. The GOP scored a second straight landslide victory in the House.

2. The Democrat-controlled Senate is very vulnerable in the 2014 mid-terms.

3. The MSM continue to bleed viewership, readership and ad revenue.

We The People are still here and the fight is still on, same as it was a week ago, a month ago, and a year ago.

Abortion Doctor’s Trial

PHILADELPHIA — Through four weeks, prosecutors have laid out evidence against Dr. Kermit Gosnell, a Philadelphia abortion provider on trial on charges of killing seven viable fetuses by “snipping” their necks with scissors and of causing the death of a pregnant 41-year-old woman during a procedure. The grisly details drew mainly local attention. But after an online furor that the case was being ignored by the national news media because of troubling accounts of late-term abortions, reporters from major newspapers and television networks descended Monday on the Court of Common Pleas.

Former Obama advisers are now cashing in left and right, through a variety of corporate and advisory roles in the private sector, the New Republic’s Noam Scheiber reports. From the first lady’s former communications director now the vice president of Siemens corporate affairs, to individual consulting deals for Obama campaign operatives like Stephanie Cutter and David Plouffe, there is a new generation of “Obama millionaires.” For instance, Scheiber notes, former UBS president Robert Wolf has opened shop with a new firm called 32 Advisors, which advises domestic and foreign business clients:

WASHINGTON -A key senator says the unveiling of a sweeping immigration bill set for Tuesday could be delayed because of the tragedy at the Boston marathon. Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona says the roll-out could happen Wednesday instead. The bill would secure the border, remake legal immigration, boost workplace enforcement and put 11 million people here illegally on a path to citizenship. Immigration activists and business and religious leaders had been invited to an event Tuesday to release the bill. It would be the culmination of months of closed-door meetings among four Democrats and

HARRISBURG - The name Department of Public Welfare was no doubt seen as an improvement when the state came up with it nearly a century ago, merging two older offices - the Board of Charities and the Committee on Lunacy. But now, 90 years later, Pennsylvania is one of just two states in the nation that still use the word welfare in the name of the massive agency that serves mainly the elderly, disabled, and children. Legislators, former state officials, and advocates for the more than two million residents who rely on the agency´s vast array of services say

This day in 1959, four months after leading a successful revolution in Cuba, Fidel Castro began an 11-day visit to the United States. His visit came at a time when tensions between his regime and the American government were rising steadily. Castro neither requested nor accepted an official government invitation for his trip to Washington and New York. Rather, he came at the invitation of what was then called the American Society of Newspaper Editors. During his stay, Castro placed a wreath on George Washington’s grave, toured the Bronx Zoo, ate hot dogs and hamburgers at Yankee Stadium and

Insurgents in Iraq deployed a series of car bombs as part of highly co-ordinated attacks that cut across a wide swath of the country today, killing at least 55 on the deadliest day in nearly a month. The assault bore the hallmarks of a resurgent al-Qaeda in Iraq and appeared aimed at sowing fear days before the first elections since U.S. troops withdrew. There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but coordinated attacks are a favourite tactic of al-Qaeda´s Iraq branch. Iraqi officials believe the insurgent group is growing stronger and increasingly co-ordinating with allies

Since he first became a presidential candidate, President Obama must have spent millions of dollars in legal expenses to combat dozens of so-called "birther" challenges seeking the original documents pertaining to his birth. As president, he famously issued an electronic document on the White House website in 2011; the document purported to be his long-form birth certificate, though it is apparently a forgery. In addition, he has taken great pains to hide the paper trail of passport records, college transcripts, and other data -- all of which a prospective employer might require of a job applicant.

Is media bias to blame for lack of Gosnell coverage? Or something far more banal? The trial of Philadelphia doctor Kermit Gosnell would seem to have all the elements of a spectacular news story: shocking allegations, horrifying visuals, sympathetic victims. Yet until late last week, much of the national media was silent as testimony about Gosnell’s alleged “house of horrors” abortion clinic rolled out. Much of the media attention outside Philadelphia, in fact, centered on how little media attention the story was receiving outside Philadelphia.
