Steele floats running for
RNC chairman again

Former Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Steele is floating the idea of running for his old post again. In an interview on C-SPAN on Sunday, Steele was first asked if he thought current RNC Chairman Reince Priebus should run for another term. Priebus has suggested that he is leaning toward running for reelection. "That´s gonna be something the members have to decide," Steele said. Steele was then asked if he would consider running for RNC chairman again. "It´s not a bad idea." Steele said in response. "It would shake up

Guys,

Quit griping. Do something. I wrote two long e-mails to the RNC today and told them they would not get another dime from me until they grew a pair and started to fight back. I told them to see if they could coax the Speaker out of the tanning bed long enough to register a complaint over the travesty that was the last election and the manifest demonstrations of outright fraud. One needs only to look as far as Allen West. He was only granted a partial re-count and discovered over 500 fraudulent votes and they´re giving him a hard time because not he wants a complete re-count. So far Bohener hasn´t done a damn thing except make a few gentlemanly noises at the thug from Chicago in the white house.

Reince Preibus worked hard to change that perception. It is the people who put obama back in office that are REALLY "stuck on stupid". On Wednesday, in a speech to the National Association of Manufacturers, Rep. Paul Ryan argued that the Senate immigration bill "is not amnesty." Ryan offered to debate anyone who considered the legalization process in the bill to be "amnesty." At the end of the week, Heritage Action CEO Michael Needham accepted Ryan´s debate challenge. Ryan said the Senate bill "is not amnesty" because “amnesty is wiping the slate clean and not paying any penalty for having done something wrong.” Needham countered Ryan´s point at Heritage Action´s blog, The Forge: Now some have suggested the inclusion of a

Last week, GOP pundit Karl Rove wrote in The Wall Street Journal in support of the current Senate immigration bill, arguing it was much tougher on illegal immigrants than the 1986 law that granted amnesty to then 3 million illegals. Rove wrote that the 86 law "essentially told those here illegally that if they had arrived in the U.S. prior to 1982 and wanted to become citizens, simply raise your right hand." Ed Meese responded Friday that Rove´s description of the law was "way off the mark." In a letter published by the WSJ, Meese recalled that

WASHINGTON - The House overwhelmingly passed a sweeping, $638 billion defense bill on Friday that imposes new punishments on members of the armed services found guilty of rape or sexual assault as outrage over the crisis in the military has galvanized Congress. Ignoring a White House veto threat, the Republican-controlled House voted 315-108 for the legislation, which would block President Barack Obama from closing the U.S. detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and limit his efforts to reduce nuclear weapons.

To his credit, Greenwald is one of the few on the left who has remained consistent and now criticizes Obama policies with almost as much zeal as he criticized Bush. Not to his credit, Greenwald developed a habit of using fake commenters to defend his written positions when others criticized him, and then denied that he engaged in any sockpuppetry. In the midst of the eruption of near-daily scandals involving the Obama administration, let us not forget that until just a few months ago, Hillary Clinton was the most significant persona within that administration besides the president himself. Let us not also forget that notwithstanding the scandal-grenades going off all around us, Mrs. Clinton diligently plans her run for the presidency, even while several of those scandals are obviously and entirely her responsibility, exposing the State Department during her tenure as an utter sewer of corruption, cronyism, and fatal incompetence.

While our corrupt media has done its best to turn the page on Barack Obama´s myriad of scandals, the deep-dive numbers in a new Fox News poll are absolutely devastating for the president. These numbers also reflect what we are seeing in other polls and Obama´s overall approval ratings -- though the media are willfully ignoring reporting on both. For me, “crackup” claims are a almost always hack way of expressing unjustified triumphalism. But now I think I see a crackup. Given the scandal-a-week Obama administration, you might think that the crackup, if any, is looming on the left. But that would be to ignore the left’s tendency to march more or less in lockstep through any scandal or storm. No, the crackup I see coming is among conservatives.

Among all the unanswered questions about the IRS’s illegal targeting of conservative organizations, one is most crucial: Who ordered this extreme scrutiny? Amazingly, IRS inspector general J. Russell George, responsible for the investigation asking those questions about the IRS, has testified that he did not obtain that information. Details of that testimony are interesting. Representative Tom Graves (R., Ga.) asked, “Have you asked the individuals who ordered them to use this extra scrutiny to punish, or penalize, or postpone, or deny?” George turns around to confer with his assistant.
