She is serving a yearlong adultery sentence after what she describes as rape by her adult cousin, who remains a free man. Do they want the US to be their daily police guard, do they? It´s impractical and not possible. While I feel for these women, perhaps what´s needed is action by the government in Kabul that is supposed to be looking after its citizens and protecting them from criminals.

The instant we leave Afghanistan, the taliban will start to take over and dogs will be treated better than women. Obama will not get reengaged and the American supported Afghan government won´t last a year. Thousands of American and Afghan lives will have been wasted for what?
Melanne Verveer is typical of the airheads in the Obama administration who believe that wishing for something makes it so. If that was true Mitt Romney would be president and I would be handsome.

Stop providing them aid and comfort and stop bearing their children (hint: they are groomed to become more terrorists) and we might start listening to you.

Our being there was never going to make life better for anyone except the Taliban and other criminals. It´s not a secret. We´ve been there to humiliate and kill ourselves. Certainly not to change the culture or fight a war. We´re guests there. We´ve given 9 or 10 billion dollars a month every month for over a decade to a country controlled by organized crime and the Taliban. Some goes to cronies here, but most of it goes to crime and the Taliban. For that privilege we get our best murdered and our country´s economy destroyed. There are terrible things happening in Islamic countries all the time. We´re only there to run green programs and diversity training.

Washington--One in five people who signed up for health insurance under the new health care law failed to pay their premiums on time and therefore did not receive coverage in January, insurance companies and industry experts say. Paying the first month’s premium is the final step in completing an enrollment. Under federal rules, people must pay the initial premium to have coverage take effect. In view of the chaotic debut of the federal marketplace and many state exchanges, the White House urged insurers to give people more time, and many agreed to do so. DENVER — Helping the terminally ill end their lives, condemned for decades as immoral, is gaining traction. Banned everywhere but Oregon until 2008, it is now legal in five states. Its advocates, who have learned to shun the term “assisted suicide,” believe that as baby boomers watch frail parents suffer, support for what they call the “aid in dying” movement will grow further. In January, the New Mexico Supreme Court authorized doctors to provide lethal prescriptions and declared a constitutional right for “a competent, terminally ill patient to choose aid in dying.” Last May, the Vermont Legislature passed a law

Washinton--A Congressional Budget Office analysis released Tuesday predicted that the Affordable Care Act would shrink the work force by the equivalent of more than two million full-time positions and recharged the political debate over the health care law, providing Republican opponents fresh lines of attack and putting Democrats on the defensive. The nonpartisan budget office’s analysis, part of a regular update to its budget projections, was far more complicated than the Republican attack lines it generated. Congressional Republican leaders called the findings “devastating,” “terrible” and proof that the health care law was a job killer. (Snip)Senator Joe Manchin III, Democrat

Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences.
