When you vote for big, crappy, incompetent government run by a tool in a bomber jacket, don’t be shocked when you get big, crappy, incompetent government run by a tool in a bomber jacket. Dr. Manny Alvarez is the Senior Managing Editor of FoxNews.com/health, as well as a member of Fox News’ Medical A-Team, and he’s among those who have visited some of the hardest hit areas; according to him, health concerns are a major factor for the millions whose homes and businesses were destroyed or damaged. “To me, it seems like the storm just happened yesterday,

+What´s fnny is they took a poll right after Obama´s photo op to ask if they approves of Obama´s handling of the crisis. Of course he got rave reviews. You don´t see many cameras are capturing this debacle in plain sight. It´s nothing short of a national disgrace on how these people are being treated. Of course it´s a huge disaster that can´t be cleaned up overnight but that´s no excuse for people starving and freezing. The concourses in the yankees and mets stadiums could get people out of the cold and a place to sleep but they saw how the superdome was trashed after katrina.

Howm any of these victims were minorities who rabidly voted for Obama? I´m sure they´re more than happy if they got a tank of free Obamagas.

And what´s the deal on the Red Cross? Have they been taken over by clueless liberal morons? This was once one of the most respected entities in the country.

This is worse than Katrina, but the victim demography isn´t right, apparently.

When people in NY and NJ get their power back and find out exactly what kept the help from them and extended their misery, there is going to be a storm of historic magnitude happening. Democrats and union thugs and their tools in office had better get prepared for it. Earlier poster was correct about one thing though. The voters got what they deserved when they voted for the big D.

The Northeast re-elected Obama, elected Warren, re-elected Bloomberg, and sent more Dems to the Congress. Let them deal with what they elected. I will not contribute one dollar for storm relief this time - let the Big Elizabeth Warren Nanny State come to their defense. That is who the Northeasterners put their faith into - lying, thieving, dumb liberal Democratic politicians with no ethics, no integrity, and no respect for private property.

Why is Hurricane Sandy ´´worse´´ than Hurricane Katrina? Because the homes damaged by Sandy belonged to mostly middle class white people? How many died as a result of Hurricane Sandy...50 or so?

Katrina killed about 1830 Americans. Don´t tell me Sandy was worse. Devastation is devastation. Floods, fires, tornadoes or hurricanes all are devastating.

Sandy was a category #1 hurricane when it arrived in the NJ-NY region, Katrina was a category #5 when it arrived in the MS-LA region. Can you imagine what the NJ-NY region would look like today if Sandy had been a category #5 hurricane? There is really no sense in rebuilding in an area that nature has shown would be blown away and flooded when another hurricane arrives.

This recent hurricane is another perfect example of why people must be self-reliant and be able to fend for themselves for some time after a natural or man made event that causes severe damage, as no matter how much Obama smiles, government is not going to give much help to the average person after one of those catastrophic events.

Obama’s World of Make Believe

For anyone who has observed Barack Obama over the years, it’s obvious that a fundamental part of his self-identity involves seeing himself, and having others see him, as pragmatic rather than ideological, reality-based, driven by reason instead of bias. This has never actually been true. Mr. Obama is, in fact, unusually dogmatic, blind to counter-evidence, and mostly unable to adjust his views to the way things are. So when his worldview collides with reality, he often can’t adjust. He instead creates his own make believe world. We’ve seen it time and time again with the Affordable Care Act. Whatever happened to Granny Warren’s Native American heritage? She’s written a new memoir, due out next month, and in the advance press releases, I don’t notice the word “Indian” anywhere. I thought surely the fake Indian’s book would have some old-fashioned Indian War-type title. It is, after all, a tome, or should I say, “tome-a-hawk.” “Drums Along the Mystic.” “The Last of the Faux-hicans.” “Forked Tongue: The Elizabeth Warren Story.” “A Tale of Two Teepees.” “Dances with Moonbats.” Instead she calls it, “A Fighting Chance,” a title that seems Eurocentric for the first female Indian in the U.S. Senate, or maybe she no longer is an Indian, because

The Department of Justice has been asked by the CIA to investigate Senate staffers, by the Senate to investigate the CIA, and by Texas Sen. Ted Cruz to investigate the IRS. The DOJ has replied "maybe," "maybe," and "no," respectively. Cruz had asked Justice to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate whether or not the IRS had illegally targeted conservative groups when it began filtering tax-exempt applicants by key words. The segregation of Tea Party and other conservative groups has spurred a nearly year-long crusade by conservative politicians and activists searching for a link back to the White House. With no

The American media establishment is on the verge of awarding “distinguished” Pulitzer Prizes to National Security Agency (NSA) leaker Edward Snowden’s media mouthpieces, the recipients of his stolen national security documents. Such a move would further confirm the role of the media in helping America’s enemies and adversaries, and undermine whatever credibility the media have left with the American people. Dylan Byers’ story in POLITICO, “Edward Snowden looms over Pulitzer Prizes,” engages in speculation about which media figures receiving the Snowden documents might get a prize. It also plays down Snowden’s debt to the Russian regime, which gave him asylum. Snowden

AUSTIN - The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals on Wednesday agreed to review whether a lower court correctly decided last fall to toss out the prison sentence handed to former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay on money-laundering charges. The state´s highest court on criminal matters announced that it would accept a petition asking it to consider whether a 2-1 decision by the Third Court of Appeals overturning DeLay´s criminal case conviction was appropriate. The appellate court in September 2013 tossed a high-profile jury verdict, ruling that "the evidence was legally insufficient to sustain DeLay´s convictions." In a dissent, the lone Democrat on

The news reports read like the script of a cheesy movie. A ship sits at anchor one Sunday night off Cyprus. It holds a cargo that just has to be recovered to support a vital U.S. ally. Navy SEALs approach silently over the water, climb the hull, and take over the ship without firing a shot. Then, in the movies — as in real life — the SEALs begin searching for the critical cargo and find what they came for. In the reality of ship seizures by our special forces, there’s always a something to find. That’s because, in somewhat delicate terms,

Foreign-policy watchers on Twitter had some fun with the Associated Press when the newswire tweeted this morning: “BREAKING: Vice President Biden says US will respond to any aggression against NATO allies.” It wasn’t exactly “breaking” news that an attack on NATO would elicit a response from NATO. But I think Biden’s proclamation–“breaking” or not–is in fact worth discussing, for two reasons. First, it should be a given that the U.S. will defend its NATO allies, but in the Obama era of resets and red lines, Washington has sought any excuse possible to avoid confrontation, even if it meant reneging on promises

The expected rate hikes will be announced in the coming months amid an intense election year, when control of the Senate is up for grabs. The sticker shock would likely bolster the GOP’s prospects in November and hamper ObamaCare insurance enrollment efforts in 2015. The industry complaints come less than a week after Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius sought to downplay concerns about rising premiums in the healthcare sector.
