of U.S., NATO troops in Afghanistan

Washington Post, by Craig Whitlock

ABOARD A U.S. MILITARY AIRCRAFT — The FBI probe into the sex scandal that led to the resignation of CIA director David Petraeus has expanded to ensnare Gen. John R. Allen, the commander of U.S. and NATO troops in Afghanistan, the Pentagon announced early Tuesday. According to a senior U.S. defense official, the FBI has uncovered between 20,000 and 30,000 pages of “potentially inappropriate” emails between Allen and Jill Kelley, a 37-year-old Tampa woman whose close friendship with Petraeus ultimately led to his downfall. Allen, a Marine, succeeded Petraeus as the top

Wow. Complete, total cultural and ethical dry rot. Seriously, Washington is so out of control that it would benefit from being burned to the ground. Presidents, Secret Service, Generals,...all obsessively consumed with hedonistic pursuits regardless of consequences.

The people need to retake control. How much longer can this country even exist in the throes of such Rome-like decadence?

...20 to 30 THOUSAND pages?...

..."potentially inappropriate"...

...and once again the FBI. This was the woman who approached an FBI friend concerning questionable emails. An agent who later sent a "shirtless" photo to her. So the FBI was "probing" beyond Petraeus...

...would like to know the whys of who "expanded" the probe. Something is smelling more and more as the days go by...

Social Liaison seems the newest rage.

#5 I have been expecting a purge of some sort. So that the right sort of people can be promoted.

We need a gay married couple, one an admiral the other a general. Our nation would be so improved.

And budget problems or not let´s finally fund the long proposed Pentagon Ballet. How many more decades must the people wait?

Reply 9 - Posted by: Labrador Heaven, 11/13/2012 3:12:39 AM     (No. 9010424)

"Seven Days in May" comes to mind, just with a role reversal. Replacing the ranks...?

And, yes, 20-30 THOUSAND pages. A woman who is an "unpaid" sort of social liaison having that much "correspondence" with the top US and NATO commander in Afghanistan, who was to be the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO, and of American forces in Europe.

Sex is NOT what this is about....Ike would´ve been drummed out based on the allegations w/ Kay Summersby during WWII. There is something much more sinister, going back much farther, involving many more layers of people (and potentially foreign government players?) than just a casual affair, poor judgment, and now, reams of correspondence between two newly introduced players to this scenario. And two highly-unlikely-to-have-known-one-another players at that...

Tom Clancy couldn´t have written this.

The odds of all this actually being about a sex scandal(s) are now close to 0. The timing - days after the success of the MSM´s biggest cover-up operation in history, the reelection of Barack Van Jones Obama - tells the tale. Someone´s rear is being protected (any guesses?) about Benghazi and, most probably, even more deeply buried scandals involving Iran and perhaps Russia. But, whatever is going on, sex is the least of it.

Beck was speculating on a few things about this. One is WHY was Panetta put in charge of the Pentagon and Patraeus put in charge of CIA? The reverse would be more logical. It appears Patraeus was being set up from the very beginning to be the fall guy.

Apparently this was all known for over two weeks and was hushed up until after the election.

Don´t ever tell me any Liberal Marxist Democrat has anything resembling Ethics and Integrity in their heart and soul.

OK even Republicans and Democrats in the House have no Ethics or Integrity, much less the guts or the President would be Impeached. In addition the traitorous Democrats in the Senate would never convict him.

Liberal Marxist better start sweating the parts of the Declaration of Independence about citizens rising up. It´s enforcement may come sooner than they think.

Speaking of sex scandals, why is Valerie Jarrett living on the second floor of the White House? Why isn´t the media interested in this possibility?

There is definitely an element of "set-up" in all of this, and now I feel less like a nut for believing that Chris Stevens was left unguarded deliberately and that the shot-down SEAL packed helicopter was deliberately "given up;" that the high tech drone was gifted to Iran; that the costly Camp Bastion attack was another "gift;" the recent prosecution of seven SEALS for giving secrets to a game maker is another set-up; and the deaths of many of our ground troops result from a deck purposely stacked against them.

´´Duty-Honor-Country. Those three hallowed words reverently dictate what you ought to be, what you can be, what you will be. They are your rallying points; to build courage when courage seems to fail; to regain faith when there seems to be little cause for faith; to create hope when hope becomes forlorn.(snip)But these are some of the things they do. They build your basic character; they mold you for your future roles as custodians of the nation´s defense; they make you strong enough to know when you are weak, and brace enough to face yourself when you are afraid. They teach you to be proud and unbending in honest failure, but humble and gentle in success, not to substitute words for action, not to seek the path of comfort, but to face the stress and spur of difficulty and challenge; to learn to stand up in the storm but to have compassion on those who fail; to master yourself before you seek to master others; to have a heart that is clean, a goal that is high; to learn to laugh yet never forget how to weep; to reach into the future yet never neglect the past; to be serious yet never take yourself too seriously; to be modest so that you will remember the simplicity of true greatness, the open mind of true wisdom, the meekness of true strength.´´

We did not know it was terrorism until the second plane hit the tower. When Obama was elected the second time, I have since come to suspect that Obama´s end game is to destroy Israel - which, in his eye´s, is the essence of colonialism.

He is doing working to this end by 1)defunding our military, 2) putting in weak leaders into our military and 3) destroying the countries in the middle east so that they are all 100% muslim brotherhood led.

If he successfully deceives Congress´ investigation and comes through Bengazi unscathed, we are in for a rough ride.

The peak of the mountain was during the Reagan and HW´s administrations. The clinton´s won the 92 election because of an intense hatred of HW by "charts" Perot, and the downhill slide began. Remember, within the first week gays in the military was run up the flag pole, unfortunately too many saluted!

Then came "it depends what the meaning of is is" and then "it isn´t sex" only greased the skids and sharpened the angle of the downhill slide!

It seems that the President of the United States of America is involved not only with several pro-terrorist activities but with the murder of 4 American citizens. So, his handlers need to point the finger at others.
.... Obama and his protectors have decided to discredit the top officials in the U.S. Military.

From the folks who called Bill Clinton´s sexual romps ´just sex,´ we now learn that U.S. Generals are not held to the same mold.
.... Clinton raped one woman, played sex games in the Oval Office with another and enjoyed the sexual illicit love affairs with several.

I am beginning to wonder who will finally say ´enough!´

It may very well be a purge. But you´d think the Generals would have had enough sense not to allow themselves to be caught up so easily. 20-30,000 emails? How the heck did they have anytime to do their jobs?

I have often posted here that I believed Petraeus (and his wife) were co-opted by the Obama Administration when his wife got the high level position at the new Consumer Protection Bureau and Petraeus accepted the CIA job. He could have made so much more money sitting on corporate boards after his retirememnt from the Army.

This scandal also intersects the Sinclair scandal. Sinclair is the general who was relieved of command and charged with something like "forcible sexual contact" with a female captain in his command. Based on what I´ve read, Sinclair sounds like a real creep, but maybe it´s all a set-up to take out the generals and replace them with Obama´s handpicked flunkies who will carry out his commands against the civilian population.

There is a very weird photo on Drudge... http://tiny.cc/iyspnw

...showing two almost-identical women along with Patraeus and his wife and Kelley´s husband. IMO, the woman listed as Natalie Khawam and the woman listed as Jill Kelley are either uncannily twin-like or the photo´s been photoshopped for reasons which escape me.

Totally agree with #5, #6 and especially with #55. Decapitate the military, get urkel´s handpicked brass moved up, and put the fear of the urkel regime in the rest of them to keep ´em in line. When the time comes to fire on the citizenry, (that´s you and me, boys and girls) they won´t hesitate. Time´s a-wastin´! Let the purging begin. And don´t forget, now that the military is a bunch of liars in the public´s eye, anything they testify about Benghazi will be viewed with a jaundiced eye. Bingo, urkel skates again.

Is it possible these women were hired (by whom is your own guess - my mind boggles at the possibilities) for destruction of our top intel and military figures, in order to install more perfumed princes (yes-men) in those high level U.S. security positions?

#59, Kelley is a twin, there is a Jill and a Natalie, both reside in the Tampa area, her family name is said to be Khawam and the family immigrated here from Lebanon. It is unclear if the women were born here or in Labanon. By the sound of their names they are probably Lebanese Christians.

Once Obama nominates gays and women to command what is left of the military, these routine bimbo eruptions at the top will magically stop, then they can start investigating more complicated situations.

I also keep reminding myself that this evil occupier in the WH has complete control over our nukes, drones, etc. If he is purging the ranks ( a reverse " Seven Days in May" scenario), it would take a a response of coup proportions by a large portion of the military itself to stop him.

And I was wondering what motivated an ´unpaid social liaison for the military´, with so many responsibilities, to work without compensation.

It was reported that Kelley did not work for the military, so who was making it worth her while? Who is her boss? Who hired her?

When she reported the threatening e-mail from the first woman, didn´t Kelley figure that the FBI would check her e-mails and find the 20-30,000 e-mails with Gen Allen? Was this part of the plan when she was sending all those e-mails?

I would be interested in dates that the Petraeus affair actually began and the e-mail storm began with Allen.

So many lies, so little credibility.

I would be livid if I had a son or daughter fighting in Afghanistan. Their leader should be spending every waking moment figuring out how to win the war and how to insure the safety of our troops. Instead it appears that he´s back in his office diddling with his computer and Lord knows what else. Lets do a little math: 25,000 pages of emails @ 10 minutes per page = 4,167 hours of dealing with personal emails to/from Tampa "friend." He´s been in charge over there for about two years, so that would be almost 2,100 hr/year on this. 2,000 hours is considered a years worth of work ... so when did he have time to lead the war? Meantime, his troops are getting killed weekly by "friendly" Afghanistan fake soldiers and police. Time to bring ´em home, at least the General.

Remembering after 1996 when BJ was re-elected, how down everyone was- until Monica hit the headlines, thanks to Miss Lucianne and our pal Drudge.

Then, instead of getting up every day to be dismayed at what the commys had been up to that day, we had the great fun of at least two years of Clinton peccadillos courtesy the ´New Media´.

All we need now is a bunch of patriotic Republican Congressman like the Kings, Issa, Chaffetz etc to step up and make their collectivist lives a living hell.

Be careful whatcha wish for commys.

The death toll continues to mount in Afghanistan while Obama
plays golf and smooches with Reggie Love
while his Commanders spend hours fooling around
with women they are not married to.
Absolute dereliction of duty.
Since Obama was inaugurated, the US death toll in Afghanistan has sky rocketed.
We´re up to about 1,520 .
Not that Cindy Sheehan or the media would care.
The latest-

Capt. James D. Nehl, 37, of Gardiner, Ore., died Nov. 9, in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan, from small arms fire while on patrol during combat operations.

Staff Sgt. Kenneth W. Bennett, 26, of Glendora, Calif., died Nov. 10, in Sperwan Gar, Afghanistan

Spc. Daniel L. Carlson, 21, of Running Springs, Calif., died Nov. 9, in Kandahar province, Afghanistan.

I just don’t believe all this talk of sinister plots. I think the war in Afghanistan is on a slow burn and these generals just have too much time on their hands. The dalliances of these guys have a classic example in history. Just look at King David – another general who couldn’t keep his wick in his pocket mostly because he had too much time.
In the spring of the year, the time when kings go out to battle, David sent Joab, (2Sa 11:1). And it happened, late one afternoon, ….that he saw….a woman bathing (2Sa11:2). First of all he sent someone else to do his job and then – like I said – he had too much time on his hands.
