Greta Van Susteren Scolds
Katrina Vanden Heuvel for
Taking Cheap Shot at Fox News

Greta Van Susteren on ABC´s This Week Sunday took exception with a cheap shot at Fox News from Nation magazine´s Katrina vanden Heuvel. This came after vanden Heuvel said of former CIA director David Petraeus, "Don´t forget that over at your network at Fox, he was your candidate for a while" (video follows with transcript and commentary): GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS, HOST: It could create complications for President Obama as he puts together his national security team though. I want to put up a chart right now. We already know that Secretary of State Clinton was planning on leaving. Leon Panetta,

As a Christian, I believe in the Bible. My favorite verses for today are:

Phillipians 4:6-8

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

If you read further, it tells us to speak truth and to rejoice in the Lord. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens US!

I was informed that supplication means "be specific"!

We, as believing Christians, need to uphold God´s Word, pray for America and all our elected officials, even Obama. Our prayers should contain God´s Word, His way/will to be done here on earth just as it is in Heaven. We need to place Obama on His altar, allowing God, in His own way, giving Him the honor and glory, not US, but Him to be raised up and adored as the Savior sent by Our Father to redeem US from our sin. We have failed in many ways in not making a stand for righteousness. Also, remember, we do not fight against flesh and blood, but principalities/powers in high places (Satan and his demons), who have infiltrated the hearts/minds/souls/spirits of those who seek power/prestige.

Our financial system has been attacked. The government has overspent on unnecessary things to prosper those in power, not the whole country.

We have all sinned/failed, but Jesus came to redeem US, to sanctify US as we align ourselves with His/our Father, to abide in Him with peace, that passes all human understanding.

I challenge US to repent, to pray, to bow down to our only Savior, able to deliver US from evil, here and abroad. Amen

One is hard pressed to detect either Greta´s political or religious(?) views. She asks penetrating questions, does great follow up, maintains a level moderate tone, and doesn´t shout down her guests.

I never find her rude or sarcastic even though she could be with some of her guests. Someone like a Katrina VH for example whose only claim to fame is denigrating those she disagrees with.

However!!! Greta could use a diction/enunciation coach big time, and I´ve quit counting the ´you knows´.

One gets the impression that as a kind of country gal from Wisconsin, Greta actually had to work for a living at one time (as a pretty savvy lawyer etc.), while Queen Katrina from the Upper East Side? Upper West Side? has always been a limousine Bolshevik with a fantastic trust fund who hobnobbed with characters like William Kunstler back in the early and late 70s and absorbed all their wisdom at cocktail parties as a callow little designer child. Anyway you can get a clue!

Comcast has agreed to buy Time Warner Cable for more than $45 billion in stock, a deal that would combine the two largest cable providers in the country, according to people familiar with the matter. The combined company would be a communications juggernaut with far greater influence than any of its peers. It would not only control the “last mile” connections that pump cable and internet services into homes and businesses, but also a huge swath of the content that travel through those pipes since Comcast already owns the entertainment empire of NBC Universal. The proposed merger is expected to

Some Americans think that America is so good that it´s their moral obligation to let everyone in to share in the joyous holiday of being American. They assume that anyone who becomes American is lucky. Wow, what a big break for a foreigner. Well, maybe it´s no longer so great here. After all, Obama ran on "change." And the country has changed during his administration. It went downhill. Maybe we don´t have to feel guilty for not letting foreigners become Americans. Perhaps they could do better elsewhere. At the height of fascination with the "Bridgegate" scandal, Chris Christie decried MSNBC´s coverage as "gleeful" and "partisan." Maybe so. However, one undeniable aspect of the left´s attack on Christie is the rigor with which it has pursued the case, rigor worthy of a life-or-death story it has all but ignored – the Benghazi attacks. Many conservatives, particularly those who have defended the way the New Jersey governor has handled this scandal, have been quick to point out that, at its worst, the George Washington Bridge scandal is about petty politicians being petty and ruining everyone´s lives with their pettiness.

It´s no surprise that Barack Obama´s authoritarian streak is revealing itself at last. It was always there; clearly apparent in his rhetoric (e.g., his envy of Chinese president Xi Jin-ping´s powers), his abuse of executive orders, his threats against Congress, his sultan with fly-whisk attitudes toward his opposition, and even his vacations, which reek more of third-world trash gamboling on the Riviera than any American leader (George W.
