Republicans lost the ground game
Washington Times, by Brian J. Wise

Original Article

Posted By:NorthernDog, 11/11/2012 10:13:15 AM

The Monday morning quarterbacking has already begun over the makeup of the Republican Party. Brace yourself for calls to “moderate” or become more “inclusive” and endless explanations for why the GOP lost one demographic or another. Make no mistake: President Obama’s reelection was a victory for a campaign, not a candidate. (Snip) The president won, not based on the strength of his record (weak), his agenda (more of the same), or because of the shifting priorities of a nation (jobs and the economy are still number one). He won because of the misallocation of resources by Republican donors

Comments:
Dems are much better at dragging their voters to the polls, even if they are kicking and screaming.

Bull! No one will ever convince me that this election wasn´t stolen. Look at the numbers in Pt. St. Lucie and Philly. Lets face it folks, we are dealing with an evil regime that will never give up power. Oh, by the way, it helps when you have 95% of the national media covering you ass.

St. Lucie County, FL vote counts over 100% of registered voters at every polling place..in one instance, 162% of registered voters cast a ballot.
The democrats can and will fix elections.
Obama cheated his way in because he couldn´t win honestly.

What post 3 said. Plus the GOP is fractionalized. Rinos like Christie cause friction, but conservatives are well advised to back off rinos at least in short term, as guys like like Christie and Scott Brown are as good as it can ever get in places like NJ and MA. Furthermore the rejection of Lugar and nomination of idealogues in Indiana and Missouri clearly cost us 2 senate seats. Although the tea party did us some good, it needs to be reigned in.

You all said it for me....massive voter fraud. Ulsterman has a video of a man testifying under oath how elections could be stolen and no one would ever know. No doubt in my mind this is what happened. The numbers don´t add up, and the crowds showing up at campaign stops don´t add up. RR packed the house, ob played to 1/2 filled venues. Something really stinks here, electronic voting needs to go. WAY too easy to mess with. And mess they did. IMHO.

The election was "won" because the Democrats concentrated their "efforts" on ghetto inner city polls where there are no Republican poll watchers or the ones that do go,like I did in inner city Cleveland are thrown out for nothing. That way the poll workers who are paid and the Democratic "observers" are free to pack the ballot box by helping people vote which I witnessed. I called the Romney legal department all day but really don´t blame them it was so widespread. The Dems have figured out every Presidential election is won in the 11 swing states, start screaming in July about how not extending early voting is racist which is another great way to harvest votes using names on the voter list and getting someone to vote for that person. I believe they calculate how many votes it will take to carry the swing states and start stepping. Until more Republicans are willing to poll watch in the ghetto in the swing states I don´t see a Republican president again.

Enough already with the post-election autopsy!!! It is what it is, and we´re stuck with it. We´ll either survive this Marxist regime as a people and a nation, or we won´t.

If we don´t [and I think don´t], then we´ll have to do what we´ve done before: pull ourselves up by our bootstraps and rise from the ashes.

I refuse to believe that a Halfrican Marxist can really "ruin" the nation. He can do damage --a lot of damage, but he can not sink up.

I agree #9. The GOP is simply out of the loop. The Dems are smarter, faster and more conniving. Of course, it helps to have the MSM in your back pocket. I too can not see a republican in the WH again. It`s like trying to climb a mountain with no equipment. When hard work is frowned upon and free stuff becomes the norm all is lost.

Guys, STOP with the BS about conservatives "not getting out there" or "off message" or we had a "weak, non-conservative candidate"or "real conservatives didn´t vote".

We lost because we have a tipping point of producers and takers; couple that with blacks voting the race line and latinos voting for who they think will give them amnesty and freebies, along with of course women voting with their sex organs, and you have a win.

Why is that so hard to accept? Some of you sound like you just got beaten up by the bully, so let´s analyze what we did wrong and appease the bully next time? The problem is the bully, not your "message".

You don´t like it? Yell at your neighbor. They´re the ones that pulled the lever to put this guy back into office. Attend no concert, no movie, nothing put out their by liberals. Really want to pi$$ them off? Love your kids and go to church. Win in spite of the government, not because of it.

And most of all, put the blame where it belongs. Everything else is BS to fill space and air time.

After World War I, the German people came to believe the "stab in the back" myth, which went like this: "We didn´t lose the war. We were on the verge of victory when opportunistic politicians stabbed our military leaders in the back by negotiating an unnecessary armistice and betraying their country." Although false, the myth was widely promoted by self-serving Generals and believed by the German people. This myth polluted German culture for a generation and doomed any effort to base German politics on reality in the inter-war years.

I do not deny that Democrats cheat; I do find it implausible that their cheating concealed a massive Romney victory. For months polls showed Mitt losing in the swing states. The Romney Campaign ran on the assumption that these polls, based on 2008, were incorrect. Everything Team Romney did wrong was based on the delusion that they were secretly winning. And then they bungled the Get Out The Vote operation. In reality, Romney got fewer votes than McCain. The Romney Campaign literally had no campaign slogan. Look at the posters. No message on the air, and a mess on the ground. The only good thing about mistakes is you can learn from them. If you´re smart.

#3: I agree with you. If the Republicans can´t attack fraud immediately and get a fair election up in four years then ground game won´t matter. This election was absolutely stolen. CO had ten counties with more than 100% voter participation that went 100% for Obama. Philly had similar. FL had it, and I don´t doubt VA had it as well. OH definitely had it. Those were states Romney could have (and should have) won and that would have won the election. Very shady stuff.

It will take a massive effort to clean up our elections. The UN, of all people, actually handed us a good weapon in their shock at our loose election standards. Take it and clean this mess up.

I noticed that the Romney people were wasting a lot of time and money in contacting, over and over again, the same supporters.

I have been a Romney contributor since 2008. They had to have known that I was a sure vote. I got tons of emails from them, phone calls for contributions and phone calls to urge me to vote. All of that was wasted. They should not have spent one second of their time on me.

Close to 8 million voter abandoned 0bama this time. Romney couldn´t field one single one of them. Instead lost 3 million that turned up for McCain. That is pathetic. 23% of an all adult poll (roughly 210 million) identified themselves as Tea Party members or supporters. That is a staggering 48 million people. If the Leadership hadn´t spent two years busily alienating these people none of this would have happened.

To the millions of so called Republicans, congratulations.......you sold out the country, it´s veterans and fellow patriots for "principle". Congratulations!

The only people that irritate me more than stupid Obama voters are republicans that cant pull the lever for a Mormon......or for a candidate that isn´t conservative enough for them. Followed by the libertarians who threw away their vote for legalized pot and and end to an alliance with Israel.

The Repubs didn´t lose because of a "misallocation of resources by Republican donors". They lost because of a population of young women and college students who know about as little as anybody, under-ducated, underemployed and undermotivated people who wanted cell phones, etc. (These shall be known as career Democratic voters),closet Mormon haters, klunks who stayed at home (you knows who you is),and half fast jackasses who voted for third party candidates, such as Bugs Bunny.
Truly, we are at the mercy of knaves and idiots.

Additional moral: If you don´t vote and they do, they will win. I don´t want to hear any whinin´ from ya.

What 15 said. Curious if the Ron Paul voters showed. There were evangelicals that had a problem with Romney. Lots of true conservatives wouldn´t vote for what they saw as a moderate candidate. Is it true that 20 million pubbies stayed at home? My gut feeling is no Washington politician is going to fix things. It will take a grass root movement.

We are always going to be behind the 8 ball when we have a corrupt media. I´m sure you all have noticed that FEMA´s pathetic response to Hurricane Sandy has not been scrutinized, nor Obama blamed. We have only heard about how the hurricane helped him win reelection. Gov. Cuomo actually lauded FEMA´s response and he has received no criticism that I know of. Joe Biden can say the stupidest things and it´s just Joe being Joe. I know it is pointless to whine about it, but it is the truth. I remember when a friend´s son was forced into a divorce by an adulterous spouse. The young man was heartbroken and depressed and my friend told me he knew his son wouldn´t start healing until he got angry. He finally did and then he got over it. We are like that young man. We are lied about (Republicans hate immigrants) laughed at, marginalized and we just take it. Our leaders continue to be polite and wait their turn. They never call their opponents liars. At some point they and we will have to find our righteous indignance and fight back every time we´re attacked.

Less than a minute into his speech at the Boston marathon bombing memorial on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden went tragically off script and told the crowd of Boston bombing survivors that "it was worth it." After expressing how impressed he was with the tribute, he said somberly, "let me say to those ´quote survivors,´ my God, you have survived and you have soared. It was worth it. I mean this sincerely - just to hear each of you speak. You´re truly, truly inspiring." The audience sat in stunned silence until Biden declared, "I´ve never heard anything so beautiful than

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. Dr. Hans Breiter, co-senior study author, said he was inspired to look at the effects of casual

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

Why is US Senator Harry

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote in her forthcoming book that she was “hurt” and “angry” by 2012 reporting on her fraudulent claim to Native American heritage. “What really threw me, though, were the constant attacks from the other side,” Warren wrote in her book “A Fighting Chance.” “I would almost persuade myself that I was starting to get the hang of full-throttle campaigning and then — bam! Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, ”I was stunned by the attacks.” This reporter (blogger?) reported extensively

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

WASHINGTON — Former President Jimmy Carter joined fellow Nobel laureates Wednesday in opposing Keystone XL, insisting that approving the pipeline would trigger “more climate upheaval” around the globe. In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.
