Union workers at Hostess Brands’ plant in Lenexa, Kan., walked off the job yesterday, kicking off a potentially crippling strike that could force the company to liquidate. Hostess’s second-largest union, the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers & Grain Millers International Union, said workers at more plants may strike in the next few days. The Post reported exclusively yesterday that as many as eight of the 36 bakery locals were planning a strike this weekend after the bankrupt maker of Twinkies and other products imposed an 8 percent pay cut on workers. The bakers represent about 6,000

92% salary is better than 0% salary.
I hope the business shuts down, or moves to a "right to work" state.
Bust the unions.

If you really want to stick it in 0bama´s eye, Mitt, get back on the horse at Bain Capitol, acquire this company, fire the union, and make it profitable.

When Kevcare (forced on us by the Kevlar President) really begins to take effect and companies have to cut back by laying people off, lowering salaries, cutting benefits and so on, and the unions start calling strikes, then what? Which bakery will be next? And then which vegetable canner? What follows?

What is it about the word "bankrupt" do the unions not understand?

Good go on strike then sit home for 7 weeks with no unemployment checks over the holidays.

Then you´ll whimper back and settle for less anyway. Your lost wages will take years to recoupe if ever.

Or you´ll be replaced... Working in a cupcake factory ain´t rocket science you know.

The workers workers would get the company, the creditors and owners would get shafted and there would be Twinkies galore for mankind.

Product placement could insert a gay character in the next Bond movie. I suggest the name Twinkies Forlunch. His evil ally would be the lesbian gangster Doughnuts Downthere.

In general, there´s quite a few morons that voted themselves out of a job re-electing Obama but these people take the cake and not a ho-ho cake. This is part of the union mentality that the business is always holding out on them money wise, same with government unions. Just borrow some more like the Philly mayor just did to keep teachers on the job,

Folks we all feel bad now because Obama bamboozled millions of people but time is on our side because liberalism always fails.

States are going to have no choice but to lay off government workers because revenue will drop like a rock when money has to go to pay for Obamacare. medicaid is already breaking states backs.

This is happening in Calif too. There is a grocery union on strike. I can´t believe they these people don´t realize we are all losing something these days. I hope the owners hold out.

On the heels of impending massiver country-wide layoffs coupled with extorting union strikes...fewer people will be employed, so fewer services and goods will be purchased, stock and market share will cave, foreclosures will escalate and the sales, payroll and property taxes will fade bunkrupting cities and States.

This is not only what the next four years will look like, but it is exactly the plan intended and orchestrated by BO, DNC, Pelosi, Reid and all unions.

The only missing component to this equation is when (not if) our bleak circumstances will embolden the ME, barbaric muslims and terrorists to unleash their holy jihad at a time of our worst economic circumstances in history and a decimated military, pre-WWII levels.

This is the true Obama legacy as well as business and Americans.

On Tuesday morning, a plane owned in trust by the Bank of Utah showed up in a very visible area of the Mehrabad Airport in Tehran, the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran. What was it doing there exactly? Nobody knows, reports The New York Times. Under President Barack Obama, the United States has eased some of the long-standing punitive economic sanctions against Iran. Still, very little American — or European — economic activity is allowed inside the religious theocracy. The Bank of Utah is certainly no Wells Fargo. The Ogden-based community bank has all of 13 branches including

A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

First, the good news: We are close enough to the end of the Obama presidency for his crowd to talk about a presidential library. Now, the bad news: Obama´s retirement is still 1,008 days distant. Plenty of time though to round up the dough to build it somewhere. Figure they need Solyndra-style money, at least $500 million. The last two presidents – Bill Clinton and George W. Bush -- built their legacy edifices totally with private money. [Snip] However, Obama supporters have a different take. They think taxpayers should put up $100 million in public money for Obama´s library.

Less than 16 hours after Chelsea Clinton announced she was pregnant, a lot of major news outlets started staring into the crystal ball of Chelsea’s womb, wondering what this currently floating zygotic multicellular being meant for the prospects of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, which is also a floating, zygotic, multicellular being. Their answer: The immaculately conceived Clinton child could mean everything. And no, it’s not just the fact that having a grandchild could be personally fulfilling to Hillary and Bill (mazel tov, by the way), or that a cute baby would be a sweet cherry on top of Hillary’s already

The first step is admitting… It was a simple question to someone accustomed to much tougher ones: What was her proudest achievement as secretary of state? But for a moment, Hillary Rodham Clinton, appearing recently before a friendly audience at a women’s forum in Manhattan, seemed flustered.(Snip)So…no definitive successes and some clear-cut failures. And that’s the generous New York Times assessment. The Democrat fantasy story about Mrs. Clinton paints her as strong and accomplished on her own. In reality, this is a woman who is professionally defined almost entirely by two men in her life, both of whom happen to have

Remember when Lois Lerner, in answering a planted question at an American Bar Association conference, admitted the IRS had targeted conservative groups but tried to pass it off as the work of rogue agents — “our line people in Cincinnati”? Today we know there were indeed federal agents involved. But they weren’t rogue, and they weren’t confined to IRS workers in Cincinnati. Thanks to a Freedom of Information request by Judicial Watch, we now have an e-mail Lerner sent to colleagues noting the Department of Justice was looking into criminal prosecutions of these tax-exempt groups. We know something else, too. These investigations
