Husband Wrote Letter to
NYTimes About Wife Having
Affair with ´Government Executive´

Weekly Standard, by Daniel Halper

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 11/10/2012 10:29:52 AM

Here´s a letter to the New York Times Magazine´s "ethicist," which was published over the summer: My wife is having an affair with a government executive. His role is to manage a project whose progress is seen worldwide as a demonstration of American leadership. (This might seem hyperbolic, but it is not an exaggeration.) I have met with him on several occasions, and he has been gracious. (I doubt if he is aware of my knowledge.) I have watched the affair intensify over the last year, and I have also benefited from his generosity.

Why didn´t he confront his wife and Petraeus rather than sending a letter to "Dear Abby"? I´d have given her something to write about!!

Normal people do not write Dear Abby type letters at all, much less to the NYT. I suspect a hoax.

It´s an amusing speculation, but this letter could be about any number of people--provided it´s even legit. I suspect a lot of "advice" columnists make up their material. Sometimes it´s entirely too pat.

The affair supposedly ended in 2011, so this letter is suspect. Agree w/ others - it´s probably something made up to titallate readers of the column.

How about this ? President Zero tells Petraeus that if Petraeus will take the bullet on Benghazi, Zero will guarantee a presidential pardon, and no reduction in rank which would affect his pension?
Is that not a reasonable deal?

I don´t buy it - at all. The journo´s husband is a radiologist in Charlotte. Why on earth would he write an anonymous letter to a NY newspaper? And what would this line mean:

´´He is engaged in work that I am passionate about and is absolutely the right person for the job.´´

Doc is passionate about the CIA? The military? I call hoax at worst, multiple cuckolded husbands at best. Remember - power is the strongest aphrodisiac and nowhere else on earth is there more perceived power than in DC...

IMO Chi-Choom gang was blackmailing to keep Petraus in line with their story and he told them to stuff it. The usual reason for leaving gov´t posts seemed to be "to spend more time with family", but Petraus himself made this admission. Why didn´t a Dem use this info to keep him from the CIA position when he was confirmed?
Was Petraus under oath when he submitted to Congressional inquiry back in September?

The best revenge upon the man that takes your wife is a no return policy.

"Sorry. She put herself on clearance. Maybe you can work out and exchange with somebody."

#1 - What were you thinking of?

I think that Petraeus didn´t want to testify and to let Obama answer all those questions to *ahem* congressmen.

How did this letter get tied to the husband in the first place? I´ve seen it all over the net in the last 24 hours but still don´t know why it´s connected to him.

If true, there were no surprised spouses...unless Holly Petraeus was caught off guard.

MY WIFE’S LOVER

My wife is having an affair with a government executive. He is engaged in work that I am passionate about and is absolutely the right person for the job. I strongly feel that exposing the affair will create a major distraction that would adversely impact...

The fact that you’re willing to accept your wife’s infidelity for some greater political good is beyond honorable. In fact, it’s so over-the-top honorable that I’m not sure I believe your motives are real. Part of me wonders why you’re even posing this question, particularly in a column that is printed in The New York Times.

...Do you admire this man so much that you haven’t asked your wife why she keeps having sex with him? I halfway suspect you’re writing this letter because you want specific people to read this column and deduce who is involved and what’s really going on behind closed doors (without actually addressing the conflict in person). That’s not ethical, either.

Romney and Petraeus met for a discussion...This letter appeared in the NYT...obviously NOT from the husband...More likely Brennan at the WH...

it was a threat to reveal info that would have destroyed the sterling reputation of Petraeus, outed him to his wife..and keep him in the corral to obey Obama...with much to be shielded

on Aug 8, 2012....three short weeks after the letter, Obama sneered at a fundraiser that "Romney thinks Petraeus will be his Vice President"....Guess not, Obama had closed that down....

The affair had been over since spring of 2011...1 and a half years previous to the NYT´s letter...obviously not from the husband....and the response question what it really was all about...

Was Petraeus aware Obama through Ambassador Stevens was moving missiles through the conduit of Turkey to AlQaeda in Syria....that´s Treason

Petraeus, as Obama and Hijllary stuck to the ridiculous lie, the meme that is was a video...They could not have people looking into the Benghazi situation...Murder and Missile sales...and AlQaeda

Regarding the letter printed in this article that was supposedly received by the NYT. If anyone involved with the parties to this affair actually wrote and send it to the NYT, I think the most likely person who did it is the lady involved as men don´t do things like that.

AUGUSTA, Ga.— Bubba Watson has won the Masters for the second time in three years. Watson claimed another green jacket by shooting a 3-under 69 in the final round Sunday, fending off Jordan Spieth’s bid to become the youngest major champion since 1931. The 20-year-old Texan led by two shots heading to the eighth hole, but the tournament changed suddenly. Watson made two straight birdies, Spieth took back-to-back bogeys — and just like that, Watson was up by two strokes at the turn. The left-hander led the rest of the way, adding to the 2012 title he won in more
