We´re only seeing the beginning on this.If this was Panetta having an extramarital affair,people would just shrug their shoulders and he would continue to be the Pentagon chief.

They "got" him. He dared to make a statement about Benghazi, and they got him.
The well-worn "Clinton defense". The only difference is he didn´t "deny,deny, deny" until the facts proved otherwise, so the next tactic was to "attack your accusers".
He also left out the part about trying to lessen the seriousness of the issue by saying "everyone else is doing it, so why should I take the fall".

I am very suspicious of the timing--hmmm-FBI investigation. When did Holder know about this? Assuming it was before the election, Obama also knew. Did the resignation letter go to Obama in person or was Valerie in the loop?

Why didn´t Petraeus just say that he was resigning for personal reasons and leave it at that?
Was it because of the pending Benghazi scandal that he had to spell it out for political cover purposes?

What is stopping Petraeus from simply holding a press conference to tell all he knows about Benghazi? No need to wait for an "invitation" to testify before either the Senate or the House. I, for one, would love to hear what he knows (and when did he know it). Not to mention the same question re Obama.
Meanwhile, if he doesn´t do this he should stay away from Fort Marcy Park. Of course if we think the morons who voted for Obama give a whit about this, we are sadly mistaken.

Add the name of Michelle Lynne (ne Robert) Kosilek to the list of modern phenomena the Founding Fathers would definitely not appreciate being blamed for. Little did they know what havoc they would someday wreak by adding the Eighth Amendment to the Constitution to prohibit “cruel and unusual punishment.” Now comes Kosilek, a convicted wife murderer doing life without parole. He/she is claiming that it would be cruel and unusual punishment to deny him/her a sex-change operation — excuse me, “gender-reassignment surgery.”Not to get too graphic, but Kosilek is begging for elective amputation of a body part.

The Dow Jones industrial average fell 40.86 points to 14565.25 after the Labor Department announced that the seasonally adjusted number of new jobs created in March was just 88,000 — far below the 190,000 or so Wall Street expected.
