| First Sandy — now this! New York City and Long Island will institute gas rationing starting tomorrow to help ease the demand and long lines at gas stations across the area, WABC reported. Nassau and Suffolk Counties are expected to institute a gas rationing system similar to New Jersey's odd-even system. Earlier, Big Apple residents dug out from another weather nightmare today, after being hit with rain, sleet, snow and wind from a strong nor'easter that blew into town yesterday and overnight.

Cue the media to start referring to Bloomy as a Republican. To all the NY city residents who screamed at the McCain for President marchers, your mayor endorsed your President, so there you go. A recent solicitation from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) reveals that the agency is seeking a "massive" online database capable of pulling up individuals´ personal information, connections and associates. The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce. Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.
