| Actress Ashley Judd's name is being thrown out as a Democratic challenger to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) in 2014. Rep. John Yarmuth (D-Ky.) listed her as a possibility. "If you had an Ashley Judd-McConnell race, I think it would be as high profile a race as Elizabeth Warren and Scott Brown," Yarmuth said in an interview with the Courier-Journal of Kentucky, referring to the Massachusetts Senate candidates. Judd has been active in Democratic politics. She was a delegate at the Democratic National Committee and also taped campaign ads for President Obama.

Such a great resume of experience as a legislator, to challenge the Minority Leader. But if Soros approves, she's on.

You know... a wise person would maybe wait a little bit and see how well the new Senator Warren does.
Remember... the Dems are the ones who gave us Senator Al Franken.
Maybe we can just elect celebrities to represent us?

Opposition research will discover a great many episodes of odd behavior by Ms. Judd. She is a movie star in the "do you know who I am?" & "you musn't look at Miss Judd" tradition. A nasty piece of work. Accounts of strange behavior are all over the internet - files should be started ASAP.

Lots of commentary yesterday about Romney's loss referred to the "Old Guard" in the Republican party. There is a reason that McCain got more votes than Romney. We need to take a very hard look at ourselves before we continue to angrily denounce the foolishness of the left.
I would very much like to see McConnell replaced. We should take care of this ourselves.

Kentucky may look "reliably red" but it almost always has a Democrat governor. Louisville and Lexington would make San Francisco blush. It is full of rich and powerful Democrats who, if postings on my Facebook page are right, are rabid to get rid of McConnell. Their evidence of his transgressions is that he doesn't like Obama.
BTW, Ashley Judd has access to Teleprompters-R-Us and whatever other shortcomings she has, she can deliver a line.

Someone with better google skills than I needs to find this: about 6-7 years ago, some guy wrote a blog post (a verrrry long post) about going on a trip to Africa with La Judd. It was supposed to help poor African children, but she was only concerned about her needs, bottled water, etc. It was devastating, plus she IS dumb.

RE: reference to Brown-Warren contest. There was a lot of fraudulent stuff going on in MA Tuesday into Wednesday. This has got to be investigated. Here's another thing Republicans have got to toughen up to do.
Furthermore, medical marijuana question was on the ballot: this ensured the participation of the youth vote, the OWSers, radicals etc. who otherwise might have been too doped-up to go out and vote. These are the core of Warren's support. well, that's my impression.

Those who want to challenge McConnell, if you do, make sure the person can win. PLEASE, no more untested candidates whose political philosophy is unclear. Otherwise, we'll get another Democrat in the Senate. We can NOT lose any more seats in the Senate. Must gain.
As we learn how many fewer Repubs voted Tuesday, i really want to tear out my hair. My immediate concern: the Surpeme Court.

Hours after the Lockerbie atrocity, Mrs Thatcher was wading through the carnage wrought by terrorists over a small Scottish town, paying her condolences to the bereaved. It had been a long and harrowing day, but when she arrived back in London late that night she still found time to phone me at home. Her voice was anxious, kind. She asked: ‘How is Ray, dear?’ The day before, my husband had suffered a serious accident and Mrs Thatcher had been characteristically solicitous, offering her car to run me home.

Arizona Gov. Janice Brewer has signed a law providing strong new restrictions on the use of so-called "seclusion rooms" in schools – closet-sized rooms where children with behavioral disabilities such as autism were being locked up as punishment. "It is chilling to imagine an Arizona school child being shut away in a padded room, no larger than a closet, for hours on end," Brewer said after signing the law Friday. "There has to be a better way." With the new law, Arizona will join more than 30 other states that impose rules on the restraint of students in public schools.

There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.

Writing in the blog The Review, J.P. Freire performs a devastating examination of how the Associated Press eulogized former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher on Monday versus how the news service examined the legacy of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez upon his death. What Freire found was an evident sense of admiration for Chavez’s accomplishments as the Latin American state’s autocratic leader, but a distinct lack of respect for Thatcher’s achievements in office. “Love her or loathe her, one thing’s beyond dispute: Margaret Thatcher transformed Britain,” AP opened the former U.K. prime minister’s obituary on Monday.

Is ObamaCare the reform to end all other reforms? The massive health care law´s problems are well known. Major tax hikes and Medicare cuts will fund a massive new government program, rather than shore up the nation´s finances. ObamaCare already is encouraging companies to cut jobs and work hours. With the administration delaying the insurance exchanges that might help small businesses until 2015, even ObamaCare cheerleaders are growing worried. And the law will leave tens of millions of Americans without health coverage. That´s the best-case scenario,

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Amid all of the very real threats of war and stuff from North Korea, you´d think American intelligence officers want as much video footage of the enemy as possible.
