My wife and I are both conservatives. This was the last election we will ever vote in. They gave us McCain and now Romney. We said we wouldn't vote this year, but, we did anyhow. No more. Please remember Texas had absolutely no voice in the GOP primaries in 2012. A federal judge cancelled our usual March primary and by the time we voted in May, Romney was the nominee.

Texas already has had a "virtual secession" from the USA for a number of reasons, many having to do with a favorable business climate and a multi-cultural society that's quite entrenched. People are flocking here from high-tax states as a result.

Rick Perry showed outreach to Hispanics, most of whom are hard-working, family oriented, God-fearing people, during the debates and was creamed on this forum for it. That's when it became obvious Texas is a whole other country.

Everyone seems so certain we will still have an electoral process in 2016 ....
