Exactly right OP. TWO terms of Clinton should have made this crystal clear for every dope that voted 3rd party or who didn't vote. ALL of what follows is on YOU. Sending a message in 2008 resulted in all the debacles of BHO and the much bigger long term problem of a Supreme Court about to negate the entire check and balance system. So great job. It wasn't just a million McCain voters who did not show up, according to Sean Trende at RCP, 7 million fewer white voters showed up. All day long, the national press reported that this was a record turnout, long lines everywhere. Yet in the end the popular total was down 8 million from 2008. So strange.

Why does the Republican Party keep throwing old, washed-up, unprincipled, country-club-loving piles of goo at us? Republican presidential candidates since 1988 have been garbage.

Evangelicals? Early on, Fox news mentioned that they didn't seem to be coming thru for Romney in one state or another , I think it was Virginia.

Even though I voted I guess those 8 million felt the way I did, that there was no real chance, and that, in the event of an Obama victory, I would just shrug my shoulders and say goodbye to the United States. Empires and nations come and go, and it's just our turn to go. I'm ashamed to be an American, ashamed that there are people who would vote for Obama not to mention Warren, Pelosi, Lee, Grayson and a host of others. Ashamed of a country that pays any attention to movie stars offscreen, and reality stars anywhere. Ashamed of a country that allows itself to become just another country on the world map, and ashamed of a country that let millions of its soldiers die for a country that turns out to be, in the end, just another on the dustheap of history. Only God endures.

Here's the general rule I follow without fail: I show up and vote for the person who most nearly represents my views, because, if you don't, the other person might win.

In Re: free stuff

Maybe all the people out of work who normally would want a job were scared enough to vote for Obama, the best hope to continue their 'free stuff.' It will no doubt be worse four years from now.......the Socialists will have guaranteed their staying in power with more and more people receiving free stuff. They will print money to fund the jobless....meanwhile, the rest of us who actually worked and earned our little stockpile of money will find it worth less and less. I'm bereft.

I have been commenting on Lucianne that American needs new political parties. I understand that 15 million fewer people voted in 2012 than in 2008, and that Romney got less votes than McCain. How can this be with so much at stake?

The answer is that less and less people have faith in our political process, our politicians, and our political parties.

The GOP should seek out the millions of voters who backed McCain and not Romney and find out why. Answering that question might be the key to victory in 2016.

My guess? The GOP needs to be more inclusive toward a certain group -- not Hispanics, women or gays... but Conservatives.

If true, this election means several contradictory things: 1. It was not the "record turnout" reported in the press all day long. 2. Despite enthusiastic reports from the Romney campaign and the RNC, the Republican GOTV was an absolute disaster. 3. The counties where Rove said the Republican vote total was up from 2008 on election night were actually down. 4. Despite the lack of large crowds in the closing days for McCain and huge crowds for Romney, Republicans were wildly more enthusiastic about McCain.

Hold onto your guns. You will be needing it for defense against Obama minions coming for your goods. Obama will find America isn't like Zimbabwe.

With the media firmly on the progressives' side, it is a matter of time before the Obama oligarchy starts nationalizing private property and robbing from his subjects to reward his cronies. In 2012, the fourth estate has turned out to be the fifth column in the nation.

One thing I know positively. We're shutting down our small business. There goes four more people onto the unemployment lines. I hate it so much, but we're tired of beating our heads against 4 dollar diesel, taxes and regulations and fines and insurance and living on my salary alone and the fear of the government and what they're going to do next. Romney was a good candidate and this was a very good election effort. Various poling companies loudly proclaimed the democrat turnout would be different this season but the after the election results the TV land reality counts seemed wrong. The real problem was not the voters, counters or who was watching the counters. A firm owned by George Soros and operated in Spain took care of massaging the numbers. They did not have to follow the pundit’s theories because the rascals made up an alternate pro-Obama reality.
The counters inserted facetious gross number and manipulated the results. (GIGO –Garbage in, Garbage out) No wonder the Dems weren’t worried. The results were preordained.

The company is called SCYTL. Look it up on Google. It is owned by George Soros and does many number counting jobs for the USA and the separate states.

Of course some people will deny fraud (with the flimsiest of excuses) but they denied the 1919 World Series, Fast and Furious and are currently trying to tell us that what we all know about Benghazi is the haze of war. “Walk on by folks, nothing to see here”

There was a haze of war with the elections and unless we adamantly protest it now, today, this election cycle, there will be no prospect for fair future elections. The count and recounts will always be phony but look perfect. (Just like Russia and Venezuela).

If by "we lost" you mean America, you're dead on with that assessment. We now have 50+ percent of this nation's citizens who are progressive/socialists, hate America, want more and bigger government, more taxes (since most of them pay little or none), an impotent military, total acceptance of perverted chosen lifestyles, population control via infanticide, and taking the guns out of the hands of those that might defend freedom with them, an end to the Capitalist system that made this the wealthiest nation on earth, and of course continued contrition towards the fact that this nation once practiced slavery. That about sum it up?
The reality is that we can no longer use the law-abiding, legal system to turn this ship around. They have effectively stacked the deck to that approach in their favor. Nothing left to do but to use their very own tactics and fight fire with fire, while we still possess the fire.

Repubs will never win when you have more than half the population (56 million) on food stamps . They voted for the freebies. They were afraid Romney would take away their free stuff. Dems love to tax & give away taxpayers $$$$. The makers lost to the takers. When is makers going to protest they are tired of paying for the ones who refuse to work. The won used taxpayers $$$$ to get the freebie votes. Also Romney should have included the tea party, he played it toooo safe.

One of the GOP leaders, (-might have been Gillespy, not sure), is toying with a bad idea for future campaigning & was on pbs this morning blaming the Romney loss on a lengthy & detailed list of his idea of GOP failures. Most of his, 'dirty laundry airing,' seemed to focus on supposed failures by the GOP to do like the dem pols by pandering, (my word for it!), to special interest groups, neatly compartmentalized, such as Latinos. He apparently thinks the GOP should be as divisive as the dems and copy their tactic of dividing Americans into special interest groups, ethnicities, genders, race, religion & etc., in order to court each one separately and apart from the rest, offering special policy favors for each in exchange for their votes. (...He didn't suggest adapting candidate's personal speech patterns to conform with each grouping like 0bama does, but that will probably come later! s/)

If political campaigning comes to THIS sort of twisted & divisive ploy by BOTH parties, the country is indeed in BIG trouble, for the authentic principles of equality & freedom, which are secured for us each in the Constitution, remain THE SAME EQUALLY for everyone. If that isn't the message of, ''America,'' what is?!! ...''E Pluribus Unim,'' Out of Many, One, lest some politicos forget!

The basic principles of freedom in the USA and EQUAL respect are the same for each human life as a valued individual American citizen. The GOP must convey Liberty's principles and Rights to each & every American citizen, ...absolutes which were secured by the Founders in the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution and which have made America the beacon of Liberty on this planet since its founding.
