How Obama victory could
affect areas of US economy

Associated Press, by Staff

Upper-income Americans may face a tax increase. Auto fuel economy standards might be raised. Stocks of construction and engineering companies could benefit. America's decision to re-elect President Barack Obama over Mitt Romney will affect all that and other elements of the U.S. economy and financial system - from the health care law to the overhaul of financial rules. At the same time, a gridlocked Congress will limit Obama's influence. Tuesday's election kept Republicans in control of the House. Democrats still control the Senate, but without a commanding majority. Here's how Obama's re-election could affect key sectors:

Its the day after the election and the APee discovers the economy is in the tank;
the stock market is falling like a rock;
and taxes are going to increase Jan 1.

Way to go, dummies.

Wrong! People will keep their money in their pockets.
No new cars, no remodeling of the house, no college for the kids.
The housing sector will sink deeper than it already is.
Illegals will self-deport and cost the Democrats the 2014 elections.
Corporations, who have trillions of dollars off-shore to avoid punitive US corporate taxes, will keep them out of the US and not use them to create US jobs.
Companies will reduce workforces and convert them to part-time consultants to avoid Obamacare penalties.
Many Corporations, sick and tired of the shifting political winds in this country, will by the stroke of a pen, incorporate in Bermuda, or Dubai, as Halliburton did.
By the way, isn't it interesting that we never hear any nasty things about Halliburton since they moved their corporate offices from the US?

In addition to what #2 said, many small companies were hanging on hoping that business might improve after the election. They now know it will not and will be closing up shop. No sense throwing good money after bad.
The country now belongs to the freeloaders. I hope they enjoy it.

More nonsense about winners and losers in the economy and what Congress must do to help with an economic recovery.

Obama does not want a recovery. He wants power. He intends to rule. Perhaps reign is a better word. And the poorer and more helpless the general population the more he can do that with force and edict.

Following up on what #4 said, I've long thought that O and the Dems want to keep Americans uneducated, unemployed, drugged, and focused on sex. Makes us easier to control.

The ONLY sector of the economy that will boom under a second NØbama administration will be guns and ammo sales.

I did my fair share and bought some 30-06 ammo today. Plan on buying as much 30-06 and 45 ammo as possible over time, but not so much at any one time to get on the government's radar.

Of course, that will only last until NØbama signs that UN treaty that bans us from owning firearms. He will sign that the day after he flips one of the conservative Supreme Court seats to a radical, anti-gun lie-beral. That will be the day the Constitution becomes a list of ''suggestions'' that was written by a bunch of old racist white men...

Very good #2. I'm with you except for the second part of your fourth point. By then more people will be on welfare and there will be more handouts. Obama will have found a way to bring in more illegals and they will add to the welfare roles. Even fewer will be voting conservative.

More alarmingly, if Obama could win re-election despite a disastrous first term, it seems impossible for a Republican to be elected President against any Democrat.

The GOP better not sit on their haunches, thinking success falls in their lap once Democrats fail! This election proved that no matter how badly they mess up, millions of Americans STILL refuse to vote for the current dilapidated , clueless Republican Party.

I suspect #7 is absolutely right. The more people on the producers take, the more they want and the more they'll vote to get it.

The good news is that many Obama voters and states that voted for Obama will be the first to feel the effects of Obama.

All those left wing journalists, pundits, news anchors and actors WILL see their taxes go up.

Virginia will see an immediate cut in defense spending. Likewise Washington. Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia will see coal production plummet and manufacturing cut. Michigan wont see Detroit "come back". Many like myself will never own a GM or Chrysler product ever again.

California will be the first state, followed by New York, Illinois and Michigan over a financial cliff......and the government doesnt have the dollars to bail them out. More business will shift to the red states and the wealthy will relocate to lower tax states. There is already an exodus out of California and New York.

The poor pitiful poor will be the first to discover that their is a TAX for not having healthcare, and most of us will be paying more at the Doctors office. Energy will increase causing the cost of EVERYTHING to go up, which will affect the poor hardest.

And WHY the GOP hasnt been hammering basic economics to the electorate for the past 4 years mystifies me.

Obama’s scheme to take over Texas

The Obama administration’s interference in Texas’ redistricting and voter-ID litigation does not protect voting rights. It protects the Democratic Party. Recall that just a few months ago, high-ranking Obama operatives launched a campaign to “turn Texas blue.” The administration’s foray into Texas voting rights litigation is just another page in that political playbook. In redistricting, the Obama administration has aligned itself with Democratic state representatives and Democratic members of Congress who already are suing Texas. It is no surprise then that the legal position of President Obama’s attorneys seeks to improve Democratic candidates’ prospects.

Wrong. Instead, the Times defined the “news” in this interview to be Obama’s counter-attacks. Their stories focused on Obama’s accusations that (a) the Republicans are liars about Obamacare, (b) the Republicans exaggerate the benefits of building the Keystone XL pipeline, and (c) the Republicans oppose his use of executive power because he has the gall

The mill annually donates its furnace and workers for the event, the department said. The sheriff´s department´s buyback program -- which offers grocery store gift cards in exchange for weapons -- began in Compton in 2005. Now several municipalities offer such events throughout the year.

Built in 1915, the property on Saint-Clair Street has been listed for sale since May 2011. After initially being placed on the market for $900,

I never thought the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case deserved nearly the attention it got. But reasonable people can disagree about that. What strikes me as unconscionable, however, is the way the supposedly objective media have not only sensationalized a tragedy but at times appear to deliberately bend the facts to fit a desired story line. Maybe it started with the use of pictures of a younger Martin or with the sudden embrace of the term "white Hispanic" to describe Zimmerman in order to more easily paint him as a racist. NBC News was the most egregious offender
