What happened? Fraud. Plain and simple.

In 1965, the adults of America were patriotic, optimistic, moral, and had a common set of basic values. They would have elected Mitt Romney proudly because he represents the best of us.

We didn't elect Mitt Romney yesterday because we now think the best of us is some mumbling NBA forward or a snarky Saturday Night Live 'commedian' with a gutter vocabulary. We didn't elect him because we have become through pop culture and demographics, a second rate nation.

I agree with #1 as I am sure there was voter fraud, but what the devil can we do? Even if it proven, it will not change anything and Obama still has 4 more years to destroy America.

KarenJ1, you bring up a good point but we are already changed by immigration. All too many have brought the worst of their societies here. We didn't insist on them becoming Americanized.

1)We imported too many minorities who brought in their 'tribal' perspective from Asia, the Indian subcontinent, Latin America and the Middle East.

2) Chinese, Koreans seem to do better on this score; Latin Americans because they have absorbed some American culture by adjacency. I've worked with Indians who consider themselves 'global Indian'--they speak dialect at work, eat lunch among themselves; not at work, they stay in their own neighborhoods and restaurants. Little effort is made to become more American except when it can increase prestige and attract money.

3)The worst part of this is the 'get over' mentality you increasingly see in business--the desire to beat whites, American blacks and even their fellow immigrants by any means necessary, grabbing all they can because that is the way it's done in their home countries.

FYI, I am the daughter of an immigrant (Italy via Argentina) entrepreneur who was indistinguishable from a Connecticut WASP except by his (northern)Italian looks. And my maternal grandfather insisted the children not speak Italian at home, eat white bread and corned beef and cabbage to become better Americans.

India, with its overeducated/badly educated middle class, and its huge number of poor, all jockeying for one step on the rung and being pushed off more often than not, is the future of America. 8% unemployment will seem like the 'good old days'. I fear that there will be poor and homeless on the streets and in favelas surrounding our cities where the middle class used to live, sooner rather than later.

My observation of Filipinos.Overwhelmingly Catholic but many voted for Obama who openly attacks the church..Immigrated the right way but wants amnesty for people who jumps the line in the long wait for residency.Hardworking but favors welfare and freebies if they can get it.Lastly,because they are non white,they mistakenly associate with any non white.They perceive the republican as whites only.

I work with a lot of immigrants as well and they overwhelmingly voted for Obama. They are from Thailand, Malaysia, and many Filipinos. They do identify with the person of color no matter what he/she is saying. However, I think Obamas 1/2 white background doesn't hurt him with this group.
Oddly, I work with a lot of young black men who do manual labor for a living and they were Romney supporters. Go figure.

I know many legal immigrant physicians. There has been a concerted, dedicated effort to import nurses and physicians WITH a ready-made socialist mindset.
